It blows my mind seen Daniella seating that low on her bike and then be able to run that well! Sam looking fit but he paid the price to be at the front for too long. Patrick and Ben , great job!!!!

@@erikschmidt5263 because they didn’t want to blow up and die on the run maybe? I’m sure you know even at 12 meters drafting can save 15-30% of energy. That’s why there is a push to make the draft zone 20m for pros.
@@rogerc23 So you aknowledge that it's hard to make the front group, but you still try to discredit Sams bike performance by saying that he sucked wheel...a little illogical, don't you think?
Sam's Pace Kona 2022 was incredible. He was at the front alone for a long time. Iden and Blumenfelt catched up few Miles before the finish line. So i think he overpaced in cycling keeping up with Ditlev and blow up in running.

WOW looks like an unreal race to be at!! Love how the Germans celebrate the end of a race 🍺😂 should do same at Ironman Ireland 🤔 one thing I don’t understand is why the Pro's don’t rack their own bike 🤷🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️
not just the pros in roth it's the same for ags
every single bike (also those from the amateurs) is taken by the stuff at the red-line (safety reasons)
Leaky gut is lifelong battle
Highlights = WELL Done.
Live Broadcast - TOO Much non-race chatter on & on & on even when there was live video showing action at various points - A Director should be controlling the excess chatter, getting them to stay on top of every little race detail / change Overall broadcast to be much better - eventually turned it off.
Video Motorcycle (too many / risky) problem - Epic MTB race in South Africa used E-Bikes (yes, they had Motos & helicopters too) - with small video cameras on the E-bike & helmet of the rider (think the owner of the company was actually riding one of the bikes) - much safer than Motorcycle. Live video was very good from the E-Bikes as they were able to keep up with the racers. Also helped equalize the coverage of the men & women.
MTB's don't go 45avg, and have 50-60kmh on some flats if they push the bikes. These are no speeds for normal E-Bikes 😂 Even the 50kh/h E-Bike version will struggle to keep up with them. 🙈
But more Drones might work as well for good coverages in future.
Well, about this chatter when there is action I had the same thoughts first. But this is a 9 hour or even more live broadcast. A little chatter should be allowed. Yes, I wanted to see the women's race a little longer (and of course far more about Daniela Ryf on her bike) but then people complain not to see enough of the men's race! It's really difficult to find the right balance to live broadcast the Challenge Roth! 🤔

Anyone hear what happened to Chelsea Sodaro?
Well, DNF as Laura Philipp said: "Chelsea just passed me and I thought this is far too fast! This cannot go well! When it does she might even catch up Daniela!" It didn't and you saw Anne overtaking Chelsea and Laura as well, when Chelsea later had to give up the race. Simply overpaced it in the run. 😮
So interesting how no one covered what happened to Chelsea in the last kms of the race? You can’t find any coverage of her dropping out, so strange how she was unable to even walk it in, that she had to completely give up,
Your telling me no one really tried to slam the beer! Come on! Don’t fear the beer, clear the damn beer! I will rarely drink again on my life but if I made the podium and someone handed me on of those…. What is it. 60oz brews it’s bottoms up and go for a snooze!
If you slam 2 litres of any Beer and Weißbier least of all after a race like that there is no way of it staying in.
Isn’t it no alcoholic Edinger beer?

@@Eckendenker oh yes totally. Sorry I wasn’t trying to debate you but I can see how it might have looked like that. Personally I couldn’t imagine wanted any poison like alcohol after completing an Ironman distance

Hard to run well if you don't have a motorbike pulling you on the bike.

@@pal_lokomotivet2679 Cozumel 21 didn't count because the swim was a little too short and upstream. But I mean that's always the struggle....comparing different courses with one another which aren't really comparable.
@@erikschmidt5263 that's not correct because ironman approved it. And yes this is always the issue. Currents in oceans always change. Winds on land always change. Some years it's calm on kona to half way on the bike and starts to blow tail wind back. We open a wormhole if we have to always adjust and take into account conditions and how much they affect.
No record in almost any sport is set under less than perfect conditions.
Also the bike course in Roth is short. Iv seen several strava where it's missing alot
