Marty is the man when it comes to teaching guitar. I grew up in the 90s but my Dad loved all the 70s music which now I love the 70s music, AC/DC/ Led Zeppelin, Rush, Kansas but I tease him all the time that Rock and Roll was dying till my generation of 90s music brought back Rock and Roll (Grunge). Now I don't know how Rock and Roll will keep going cause I haven't heard of one band that could keep Rock and Roll alive. Plp like you Marty will teach youngsters about the 70s and the 90s music...
I dont agree. There are many rock bands outthere, but they are no longer on the music channel like before. Instead they are touring all the time and making great music. Just an example, yesterday I heard of the band These Wicked Rivers and I was blown away. Check them out for sure. I listened to the song This Train and it hooked me up. Rival Sons is also a great band. There are many more!

Started learning to play guitar back in the late 80s, it didn't go so well, being a kid I couldn't afford a tutor, my guitar buddy I had and I went separate ways so I never progressed to anything beyond a few bars from a few tunes. Ended up selling up. Roll on 30 years and I picked up another guitar recently and thought 'lets try this again!' This track is my yard stick, I'm practising it every day and after an initial slow start, I'm starting to get there. thanks for this video Marty!
@@kevslife 4 months ago when I made the above post I was struggling with Hells Bells and the only thing I could play were some of the 1 string riffs Marty posted on another video. Since then I now seem to have accumulated a few more guitars and I'm confident watching any 'learn to play' video that I will manage it if I give it half a try. I have literally forgot the number of songs/riffs I've learnt I mainly concentrate on technique now. and I am not great musically haha Stick with it Kev, best tip I can give is always have the guitar handy, I now have one in a stand next to my chair so I can pick it up anytime and do as Marty teaches make sure you get that 5 to 10 minutes (or whatever you're comfortable with) in a day. But stick with it some things will seem impossible one day then the next somehow you don't even register them as being significant.

You can walk down a C Power cord,B Power cord, it sounds nearly the same, it is much easier. I’m one of those forever intermediate players, and for whatever reason after the chiming part in the beginning really struggle to get the two notes he walked down to be part. Was messing around with trying to play it in time, and just found it so much easier to grab a c cord,then b! Sorry for the long winded response, thanks again Marty!

Awesome vid, could you try a lesson on Radioheads "Fake Plastic Trees" it's a great beginner riff and it's great for learning to move up and down the fretboard, since it's a simple strum pattern

This helps out a lot. The tabs I’ve been using were semi wrong. On the power chord part after the 5-3 and 5-2, it says to let the open A and the 5th of the D ring out. That’s been messing me up the whole time. Thanks Marty!
Hi Marty, Thanks for showing me "the right way the song should be played". There was a book released that transcribed it all being done near the nut in the first to third frets. After 12 years playing i come to see why its played this way. Such a great song to play. I stopped buying those books along time ago when my Guitar teacher taught me ear training.

Great video. I think that you must add 2nd fret 6th string to the D power chord after the G chord. It is a signature D power chord for AC DC.
