Just a trick I use when sliding the 5th wheel is to leave the landing gear down just enough to take the weight then slide the 5th wheel back or forwards. Even if the locking pins are stiff or rusty. Works with most trailers. I do it all the time with Lowboys.

The low deck preference started me; *trailer-type* thinking. Trailer seems *tip-over-safer,* while hauling heavier loads, (with it being closer to the ground). Step also looks to provide better overhead clearance if hauling a taller load. (At least two valuable benefits).
Last video, when you were putting your headache rack on, I was wondering if the truck may have to short of a wheelbase for it and that the trailer may hit. I hope you don't have any problems axleing out with your fifth wheel back so far. It's awesome to see you back on the road. Be safe.

Becca. Just a little tip for hooking up the trailer drop so high. When u back under hook up ur red line and air up the trailer. Trailer suspension is probably deflated after sitting a long time. Once the suspension on rear lifts it'll pivot the trailer down at the front making it a little easier to close that gap with less cranking on the landing gear
Your landing gear might of been in high gear if not then definitely needs some lubricant. Thanks for sharing your dogs seem really happy to be back on the road. ✌🏼❤️

It is nice when help people help each other. Trucking is a rough job and i'm a driver, but I'd pull dry van And yes, I have to strike downloads inside my Van crazy. But it happens, but it's nice when people help out.
Good to see ya back out but word of advice your next truck wheelbase needs to be little longer with having all that stuff on catwalk and makes loading axle weight little easier
Hi friend. Don't leave at the last minute. Lol. I would get to your truck to organize your things and get your sleep schedule on point. Then you will be ready to roll when load is ready for pickup.
