The type. Of laminated wood floor planks. You're installing.Should I be hit on the edge.. You are supposed to use a wood block on top to Compress the inner lock Tongue and grove..
Speaking from almost 40 years in the business, I still cant believe how many of these vids I see with folks beating directly on the flooring (likely just the way they have been taught). Although this may not immediately be evident, there can be a subtle damage (even with soft hammers) to the edge which can show up later. These edges are incredibly fragile and are certainly not made to be beat on. The absolute best way to tap the flooring is to cut about a 6" piece of the product you are actually installing and use double face tape to adhere it to a tapping block. First customize the piece a tapping block by cutting out an L shaped section on the bottom with a table saw about half the width of the tapping block. Cut it about the same thickness of the flooring so that it allows the tapping block to lay flat, then double face tape the piece of stock to it up against that ledge. The ledge on the bottom will hold firmly the piece of flooring as you tap with it. Just cut the piece of flooring so that the tongue is sticking out beyond the block a bit. By using the double face tape, you can simply pull the piece off as it wears and replace it quickly as needed. This way, your flooring edges will never be compromised because it is an exact tongue and groove fit that you are tapping on. Yes, it may take a little more time, but prudence is king when you have a reputation to uphold as a flooring contractor. Remember, the Hare lost to the Turtle in the long run because he thought his speed would get him to the finish line quicker, but in the end, it cost him the overall race due to his over confidence 👍
Come on follow the Homie he’s showing you how he makes his money now if he was on a little shorts and a little tank top would I get your million views the world works real real fucked up for us man🎉

It is a step pattern. 12 in \step, 12in\step, You will see that pattern repeated throughout the floor and it will look amateur AF. You have to randomize your joints. You cannot make them look like a freaking staircase. This is diy level, not pro
Learn how to stagger your planks. Got that stair step going
Use the other ends for the other side.

Nice work. Do I need to leave much space on the sides for vinyl? What type of knee protectors are those?
I got the same one. Best investment!
???
Unless customer asked, don’t step your planks like this 🙈
Why is that
You’re not supposed to have any pieces shorter than 8 inches
It's fine. You can go as short as 2 inches.
lol
