The bottom spike plate is made from plastic. There is a carbon plate spanning from the entire length of the shoe. I find the sp2’s to much stiffer than the maxflys.

I own all. I’d rate ASICS maybe at most a 7-8/10 if you can get it to work but I think at the price point it’s ridiculous. I think maxfly and prime are equally good, I personally prefer the prime but for the majority id say to buy the maxfly. The prime is unusable above 200m imo due to how stiff it is, maxfly is super comfortable up to 400-600 but plenty of runners use it in the 800 as well.
None of this makes a difference in the real world. Plus the pros have different materials than the consumer. I held a spike used by a Olympic 100m medalist and I can tell you. It looks like the regular off the shelve product but the plate had no bend to it. Unlike the off the shelves spikes at the time.

Nike maxfly’s plate is made of plastic? I had an sp2 and the plastic plate broke in half and i am looking forward buying a pair of nike zoom mafxly

I definitely split my sp2’s in half also 😭 but I also managed to broke my max fly plate also but I’m a short power sprinter.
Do you wear the same size in both shoes?
As I got multiple pairs of the Maxfly, I do find that the Adidas sizing is a little bigger than the Nikes sizing. I use same sizing for both spikes.

what do you rate all your spikes 1-10 including the asics meta sprint, each adidas, and nike? and if you give a rzn as well that would be helpful!
