  • My first adventure with my camera to Port Mulgrave. I head left at the beach towards Staithes to explore somewhere I've never been before. Fossil ammonites, ichthyosaur bone, and some bonus night fossil hunting (using Ledlenser H15R core)
Caution warning for a swear just after the ichthyosaur find in excitement

Yep exactly what I did. As long as it’s not raining and above freezing it’s not too bad. The huts provide a good wind break

I'm trying to menifest a vert just the 1 not been greedy 😅. Other people have found vets near me and a full amontite. I just find bits. X

It's funny how it works sometimes. I found that block on one of my early hunts and it remains the best reptile material I've found despite spending another hundred more hours on the beach in the last year. Just a lot of time and luck and getting your eyes in for it. I'm sure you'll get something if you keep at it

@dinoskool I go when walking the dogs. Managed to find a belamite which my daughter wanted and found a nice big shell which has set off the fossil hunting. Found some massive bits of amonite over the yrs. I think I've even found a tooth b4 and a poss crab claw. X

Very much needed for sure. Also will help me reduce the scratches from rock shards when cracking the nodules.

So typical that you found the verts at the end of your walk 😂 but still... congratulations! 🥳

Im opposite, love the prep but gets boring seeing so much looking for fossils and the talking.
This is in regards to many fossil hunters, not pointing just at you.
    1/3 finding and 2/3 prep :)
i know there is a balance to finding them and the long slug preping them.
I live in Western Australia and ive not come across any YT channel local that has any where the content of finding nor prep fossils.
To me its almost like WA is the bottom of the pit when it comes to things im interested in.

Good to know. I’ve got plans to do some more prep this weekend so will try to film some more of that

Yep, it was very sticky and slippery getting down the cliff via the rope
