I'd like to say to everyone who has watched this video that our group on the discord tries are best to make a lot of battles. Be it Warhammer or Rise of Mordor. It is hard to balance some scenarios and unfortunately this scenario was unbalanced because we went for a more cinematic battle rather than a close battle. We try our very hardest and most of the time we don't get noticed in the discord very much, so if you think you can do it better I encourage you to try by joining the discord as if you were in our shoes, it's a lot harder than you might think. Thank you.
a good way to make this battle more like the movies tho is give isengard 2k more units while turning 10 units of elves into reinforcing cav at the end, here the cav was bad because of pikes but if there are too many horses pikes wont matter! it still was a great battle :D

He could fire the walls with catapults till the get destroyed, have his crossbows firing their archers or infantry and when he gets the walls down, charge with pikes .
Most of the walls were indestructible and it was impossible to order the crossbows to fire from the walls, they would just run down into the fight instead.

to download total war one can buy it on Steam, the game will then be in your library. press install. if you wish to be able to play Rise of Mordor (the mod in the video) you will have to go to the attila page in your library, click on workshop. in the search bar type "Rise of Mordor (Alpha)" press enter, click on the name and press subscribe. the mod will automatically download. launch attila, once in the launcher (identified by the big red buttons) click "mod manager" and tick the box next to "Rise of Mordor (Alpha)" once this is done, press play. it will take a while to enter the menu (depending on your Pc/Laptop) so just let it load. enjoy!
there is no rohan faction and the player/ one of the players defending was playing as the work in progress faction, which has access to the units of unfinished factions. he had to play this faction for the elves are only available for this faction (as it is a submod).
We do know how to balance battles. Some proof is the battle of the five armies and many of the Warhammer 2 scenarios, this battle however was very hard to balance. If you think you can do a better job join the discord and prove yourself as it is a lot harder than it looks.
This was not a replay, it was a live battle and as I said to another person, the amount of cavalry I could bring was glitched due to the size of the deployment zone for the cavalry being to small.

Thoraral Oakenshield Aragorn was the Captain of the dunedain but I don't recall swan-knights in the assault of Helms Deep

I have over 100+ fps but when I give the bot too many troops or something the game freezes and shit.

Why is helms deep so small??
Sol Gallin its just as big as in BFME. But you never are happy enough. You always want more goddamnit!!

I would slightly tend to pick Rome l because the animations are less good. But there isn´t that much difference between that two games. :)

Do it like the movie numbers. 200 elfs and 300 men vs 10,000 Uruk hai, and once gen minutes pass 2000 cavalry rides down the hill.
Arry in reality the uruk-hai would have wiped them all out in just a few hours.

You know there are multiple helms deep maps right? Just cause Apollo did one doesn't mean its on the same map
