My 60 series Detroit is bubbling in the coolant overflow tank, could be head gasket leaking past the top of liners, air compressor, cracked head, could be just a gasket, but plan for the worst and hope for the best, im starting to hate trucks
How many minutes did it take for it to change colors? did you use the kit with the rubber primer bulb on or off?
I watched this video but my only question would be does this test really work for these trucks since the emissions recirulates through coolant
Combustion and cooling are two totally different systems isolated from each other by the head gasket.
That mechanic took 3 days and didn't do jack.
Where did you get that test kit?
Harbor freight
How much was the estimate ?
4500+ for reman head and gasket. 16k for full inframe with counterbores if needed.
