This always happens at Bruce Springsteen concerts. Before the concert a setlist is prepared, but the band's musicians must always be ready, because at a certain point Bruce goes down into the audience and collects some signs with the songs requested by the audience. Some requests are not Bruce's songs, but famous songs by other musicians, which Bruce may have played a few times, but whose key he does not remember. But it takes a lot more to worry the E Street Band, it only takes a minute and everyone is ready to play any song in a spectacular way
The audience and Bruce and the magnificent E- Street Band become one joyous entity. Incredible energy flowing in a shared spirit! The concerts are unforgettable... absolutely unforgettable!!! Springsteen rocks! His songwriting is so relateable, the music engaging, and his mojo on stage is an irresistable magic that sweeps you in! Definitely react to more Springsteen live!
An awesome yet bittersweet moment with the saxophone player, Jake Clemens. He is the nephew of the original sax player, Clarence Clemens, after Clarence died. Thus the extra moment where he and the Boss boogie together. For years we used to call Bruce Springsteen and the E St Band "The Boss Man and The Big Man". For someone I have never known or met, it cut like a knife when he died. RIP Big Man, your nephew has you covered.
This song was written by and was a hit for Chuck Berry. It was covered by many artists like Linda Ronstadt and I believe Buddy Holly. Some artists like Springsteen have that rare ability to wrap an audience around their little finger. To be in the crowd when an artist pulls out a gem of a performance tike this is why there is no substitute for live music.
BRUCE has a huge catalog. You could listen to a different Bruce Springsteen song every day for a few months and never repeat a song. His live performances are a spiritual experience. I can’t recommend him enough.
When I watch The Boss It makes me proud to be an American, besides his great talent👍 he's also a great philanthropist fighting antipoverty👍he's just a great human being👍 remember We Are The World 😅 Peace✌️ and Love❤️ your 70 year old forever hippie Gary😊 great reaction 🤣
That one always brings a smile to my face also, glad you enjoyed it. Seeing Bruce live is an experience I have been fortunate to have five times - three with the E-Street Band, once with the "Other Band", and solo on his Devils and Dust tour. I think you guys would like one of his live performances of 10th Avenue Freeze Out here on TH-cam, the one from Live in New York is epic. Another song that I find very uplifting in his live performances is - Mary's Place, first saw this live in Portland on the Rising Tour. And how could I almost forget - Waitin' on a Sunny Day. And you don't have to react to these, but search around for some of the clips where he brings someone up from the audience to sing - some of the ones with kids are just a smile from end to end.
I love you two so much.. one of your comments said the brilliance of this performance was his accomplished confidence…. In his earlier years his un- accomplished rawness is just as brilliant ❤️❤️❤️
What an excellent observation about the joy on stage. Bruce and the E Street band bring that to every show. There is a loop where the fans feel the joy from Bruce and in turn Bruce feels the joy from the fans which is why his shows go on for almost three hours. And Bruce has always had an abundance of humility and a tremendous belief in himself and the band. It is a beautiful sight to see. I love your reaction and your lovely smiles!!
Thank you so much for this reaction, amazing as always! I've seen Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band three times in Barcelona, and I can say that when you leave that 3-hour show, you never feel the same again. You feel a mixture of emptiness and fullness impossible to explain. I recommend you to continue this incredible journey discovering them, live. Some of my favorites are "The river", "Racing in the street" and "Backstreets".
I love this video, I've watched it many times, it's just so enjoyable! Springsteen is great and the rest of the band were wonderful too. It really makes me laugh, and when they get going with the song it's fabulous, a great song by Chuck Berry! Thanks so much for your reaction! 😊😊
If there are folks who didn't know, while the 'copyright' text blocks the video of the band here, the video of Bruce and the band singing the song is available to view on TH-cam. It's brilliant.
If I remember correctly, the pianist on here (Roy Bittan) was the pianist on Meatloaf’s Bat Out of Hell album. The drummer here (Max Weinberg) played on Bat Out of Hell as well.
I remember this song also sung by Emmylou Harris, in the seventies I think. The guitarist with the bandana on his hand: the legendary Stevie Van Zandt.
A great example of musicians loving what they do. Plus, it's a nice gig when the boss is "the Boss". (Andrei, Pulp Fiction is a Mack the Knife movie. Be prepared. ; ) ☮💙🎶
OK; that's a thumb up before ever watching. 'cause I know that video. Ans soooo love it. And well, if I may change my mind, i'll edit... but i'm sure it won't happend :)
This was a Chuck Berry song. I loved this performance from the band, it was so much fun. I watched it a while ago and loved it. When I saw in my feed that you guys reacted to it, I was straight on this. Amazing. I'm just about to send you guys another Bruce Springsteen reaction request. I loved your reaction to this. Oh, and, enjoy Pulp Fiction this weekend Andrei. You'll love it ♥
No one is having more fun at a Bruce Springsteen concert than Bruce Springsteen. This was not a Bruce Springsteen song but I'm sure all the members of his band knew of it from Pulp Fiction.
Aaaah you young thing! They know it from the original they grew up with on the radio, any rock’n’roll fan does. the E Street band supported Chuck Berry when he was inducted into the Rock’n’Hall of Fame, I think it was in 1992, so pre-Pulp Fiction. There is great footage out there, check it out.
Chuck Berry's version was featured in Tarrantino's, film Pulp Fiction, the famous dance scene with Uma Thurman, and John Travolta, at Jack Rabbit Slims restaurant. ❤😂
Haha - Pulp Fiction is on the top 5 on my all time favorit movies 🙂Andrei, you should see it . By the way, the guy in the bandana is Steven Van Zandt and has been Bruce wingman and best friend for a almost lifetime. He is also an actor and had a huge role in Sopranos as Silvio Dante. Nice reaction, alwys so nice to see you smiling 🙂
I really wish you would listen to studio recordings because that is what we all heard on the radio growing up. There is nothing like the ORIGINAL 45 RPM.
This is "Obladi Oblada" from The Beatles.... ;) Fun Fact: the Bruce Sprigsteen´s sax player inspired the character from The Simpsons who played the sax and Is the Lisa´s Idol ...

This song was originally done by Chuck Berry
Yeah, this is likely something they all played as teenagers in cover bands.

If there are folks who didn't know, while the 'copyright' text blocks the video of the band here, the video of Bruce and the band singing the song is available to view on TH-cam. It's brilliant.
I saw Bruce open the then brand new Brendan Byrne Arena (later Continental Airlines Arena and Izod Center) in 1981 in NJ. I was 14, Bruce was just 31.
If I remember correctly, the pianist on here (Roy Bittan) was the pianist on Meatloaf’s Bat Out of Hell album. The drummer here (Max Weinberg) played on Bat Out of Hell as well.
That is a bunch of old pros, with nothing to prove, having a blast! Great reaction!
Live Bruce! Love it
Bruce rocks ❤
Springsteen great band leader😊

An old song from the fifties my parents listened to and Bruce made it his!
This cover is a testament to the influence of Chuck Berry as one of the “fathers” of rock n’ roll👊👍

Love this song. Originally by Chuck Berry, he also wrote it, (& it was a hit). 🎶🎼🎵
This is a classic song written by pioneer and legendary rocker Chuck Berry. Many know it. It helps that it's only two chords.
Now check out the version by Emmylou Harris and her Hot Band from the 1970s.
Those aren't boos, it's the audience screaming Bruuuu uce! ❤
