I really relate to the thigns you are saying about wanting friends, and to connect with people. I am also an introverted homebody, but looking for more bookish friends. :)
Welcome to the BookTube community! Since you enjoyed Harry Potter, you might want to check out Ursula K. Le Guin's "Earthsea" series. (She originated the idea of a school for wizards.) Best of luck with your channel - I look forward to watching more of your videos. Happy Reading! 😎📚👍
Im writing this down! I would love to explore different magical schools! As much as I loved HP growing up, im ready for something different. And thank you for joining me! Happy to have you around 😊
Liminal! One of my favorite words! I'm looking forward to hearing about all bookish things you want to share with us over the upcoming year. From an oldie content creator to a newbie, welcome aboard. We're so glad to have you here!
Welcome (back) to BookTube! Fellow introvert working from home & BookTube newbie here ^^ Incorporating some experiences from the book you read into your life sounds super fun and lovely!
@@liminal.season ahah, now I'm picturing all the booktube newbies as kids in a schoolyard for some reason XD But you're definitely not the only one. And I think the thirst for connection is a well-shared one around here, so hopefully, we all get to play together in the schoolyard ^^
Hello Friend! Welcome to booktube! I also recently joined booktube because I love the community and was feeling a bit lonely with working from home. I feel you with the comparing, it's so hard not to sometimes.
I also have a hard time with comparing. It feels like some of the newer booktubers have a huge following even though I’ve been around longer with not as many followers. It’s tough.
@@liminal.seasonMy favorite is horror, but I honestly read a little bit of everything. Horror has my heart though. I am 32 and all my friends have now moved away, and it is so hard to find people in my tiny town to connect with.
@sheramelton3583 you'll have to give me your favorite horror recs! I want to dip my toes into that genre! Yeah it's so hard when people move away! And you're in a tiny town! At least we can find online friends 🥺

Yes that's my ultimate goal for this channel! I just have to figure out the best way to capture those moments! Thanks for the welcome 😊

Hi! A warm welcome to you! I think i've seen you on some sprints?? And yeah it's hard to break that comparison game 😔

Yes! I think it's just a "natural" part of social media, unfortunately. Hopefully, we both can just focus on the friends we make along the process 🙏
@@liminal.season I’m glad I found you!
@@AmandasBooktopia same!! 💕
I don't make videos, but I sure do watch a lot. And I will 100% be your online friend!
Yay! I'd love to be your friend too! What is your favorite genre??
