They are but as someone who raced with these engines his is running too rich and the clutch is not setup properly. But the brand is TM (other kz125cc engine brands are used in the world championships next to TM are: IAME, Vortex
That was an absolute blast to watch, deffenetly need a 250cc superkart, it would helped if the kart had a smaller rear gear to give him that extra mph and not touch revlimiter before the finish line, amazing video enjoyed every single minute of it🔥🔥
Power to weight is one thing, wind resistance is another. Once speeds get higher, weight is less of an issue than drag coefficient & enough HP to cut through the brick wall of wind. A good example of this is superbikes are almost always quicker than super cars up to a certain point, but given a long enough run, the car has a better drag coefficient to power ratio.
Power to weight is all good but you still need power and torque towards the top end. My man in the cart is running out of puff 🌬....still crazy...i wouldn't fancy doing 100+ in a cart 😂❤
He should swap the back sprocket ratio up slightly as that will lengthen out all the gears and then take a huge shit just before the race to weigh less. 😁
This was a crazy race and very interesting to see just how quick the carts can get off the line. Respect to both drivers and Brett being brave enough to run the risk of having a go cart beating him, im sure like me nearly all wanted the cart to win just for the banter and laughs it would of caused😂, it was a no win situation for Brett because had he lost hed of taken some stick and even though he won folks will be saying well of course he won and nowt special to sing about.. both guys enjoyed it and guarantee the whole day was brilliant, whats next then Jamie🤔🤔, motorised mobility scooter vs Affi and his crazy no ducks given launch style 👌😁🤣🤣

With a different gear ratio it would have been a totally different story. Even my old tm kv 95 with 43hp could have won. But it was very interesting nonetheless.
I absolutely love bmw's....they are truly the ultimate driving machine. I have an older 335i with the n54 few bolts ons and stage 2+ and its awesome out running v8's that cost twice as much as my car! And all that power from an inline 6!!! Awesome video 💯💯🎯

O.G. nice race that was dope! My 0-62 mph was 30 seconds Top speed 280k in my VW Mkll GTI... wicked fast 5spd slammed with a full roll cage... built by me.
imagine if we make it 75 BHP and gave a little aero to reduce drag (super light weight of course) and optimised gear ratios and also improved suspension.
What I learnt is that smaller tyres is the limiting factor for top speed runs even with a high power to Weight ratio. This is proven even with the previous turbocharged Honda powered Mini race.
I used to race the 125 shifter karts. He needs to top out at the end of the 1/4 mile. Hes way off... 3 or 4 teeth on the rear sprocket... get him back ❤. This is the best car chanell btw
@@conorf8091 come to think of it now, they started off at low speeds so by the time they passed the finish line and the distance, it was no where close to 200kmh. If they started at 50 would’ve clocked a time
Gas said no modifications for the go kart. The BMW was modified to stage2 plus. Even though the equal ratio. The kart would have done it if the BMW had zero mods I believe. Good to watch either way.
