@@kkarllwt Yep, basically a caisson that will sink as they excavate and add rings until they get to the desired depth. There will be several of these work shafts on the project. The permit documentation refers to "shaft 4". @ 1:58 Smaller forms seen by the fence closest to the road are likely for a TBM recovery shaft, while the larger forms are for TBM launch shafts. By the way, there is also a Cybertruck in the fenced area.

For 40 ft. I think they will use a backhoe for the first 15 ft. and then small skid steers and mini excavators. . loading into a bucket/crane
