According to my research considering the price point redtiger f7n has the widest viewing angle for front camera 170 degree, lowest aperture and captures most details when compared to similarly priced dashcams. Also doesn't have gimmicky features like adas hence the cost is close to 2k dashcams though it is 4k and also is capacitor based. App also seems decent. There is an upgraded version f7np which has minor updates nothing related to the tech and hence the older one is available at a very attractive price. Please let me know your opinion.
I haven't used the redtiger f7n personally. So I can comment based only on what Ive seen online. Specs look decent. Features seem value for money at the current price. Build quality of dashcam seems average at best. Not sure about how good is the after sales support and service. Basee on my experience all these years with dashcams and tech in general, on paper specs and real world performance are usually different. Something looks good on paper but doesn't do justice to real world performance. Some have average specs but perform better than expected. Point being, on paper specs shouldn't be the only criteria to decide on purchasing.
Hi. very good video! Can u recommend / compare between ddpai mola n3 pro vs 70mai a800s? from what i read, 70mai a800s gives a better video quality but in term of heat sensitivity, ddpai mola n3 is better as it is powered by the supercapacitor.
Always go with higher resolution. And there hasn't been any recorded history of dashcams with battery blowing up or burning up. So I must say the issue is a bit overhyped. I would recommend A800S over Mola N3.
You've missed out what battery type both dashcam uses. Z50 super capacitor vs A500s lithium-ion. Super capacitor can withstand extreme temp conditions. Lithium-ion has a small chance of exploding or causing a fire in your car under extremely hot conditions. Good thing about the lithium-ion battery for the 70mai's is there are tons of battery replacement kits on the market. Easily replaceable by a user. Good job on the video, got what I wanted 'license plate readability'. :D
You are right. But there is NO recorded evidence or historical precident of dashcams with li-ion battery exploding till date. I have been personally using A500 since 2 years and never faced any issue even in the hottest of conditions. So I would say the battery issue is a bit overhyped. In the broader sense, it doesn't make any difference.
@@traveltechyoutube Gotta agree, it is overhyped that's why I mentioned there is a small chance. Hot conditions will shorten the lifespan of the battery for sure. That's where the battery replacement kit comes in. 🙂

@@traveltechyoutube Thanks for replying, Viofo A229 would be 7k more expensive but im looking for a good durable dashcam. Any overheating issues with Z50?

A new mirror dashcam from 70mai is releasing soon. You can wait for that, or get the Redtiger F7N in which you can see reverse view (but with 1-2 second lag)
Hello, have a query on Z40 model. Does the Z40, always show front camera view on the display, when you start the car and the camera powers on? In the settings the selected option is rear view? I need to manually go in the settings ( shows rear view), swap to front and rear view again for it to display the rear view on the display. Any video editing software can be used. First you need to copy the video files from the sd card to your pc/laptop/smartphone and then use an editing software or vlc player to zoom in.
Compact form factor means, the camera is comparitvely smaller in size compared to Z50/Z40. It takes up slightly lesser space on your windshield. This isnt a very important aspect, but some people prefer their dashcams to take up less space, hence I mentioned it.
Based on resolution, 4K is always better than 2.5K, no matter which dashcam. But I haven't tried Qubo 4K yet. A500 is a good dashcam for the price and I personally use it in my car.
@@traveltechyoutube Thank you for your response. I had one more query does installing rear dash cam affects the functioning of curtain airbags? I have seen few videos they remove side panel to hide the wire in it while installing rear cam
If side panels are removed, then yes, it might interfere with airbag deployment. Thats why its better to hide the wire in the rubber beading of the doors and windows of the car and pass it along the beading, than using the panel.
