Dear Dan. You and your program did SO MUCH for me in my health journey and supported me during some very rough times. I, like so many others, am forever grateful to you!! From our 1 on 1's, I knew a bit about your bizarre health challenges, but any details you relayed were in a light-hearted fashion and with your incredible sense of humor. I am so sorry it has been so difficult behind the scenes.
You repeatedly said to me, "I see no reason why you cannot get fully well." I say it back to you and truly mean it. During 25+ years in medicine, I have seen MANY people recover from complex and bizarre illnesses. You can get better, my friend. Take good care!

You were the beginning of my healing journey. I've been well now for ages.
I've had COVID three times, my dad was diagnosed with cancer, sold 2 houses and purchased new ones, moved states in a housing crisis, started studying and raising an autistic child. Still haven't relapsed.
I had my first wobble, when I had anaphylactics to a medication a few weeks ago. Had severe fatigue, vertigo and headaches for over a week.
But after using my tools, I got over it quickly.
I have some other health issues, I had before which I still have to manage. But my life is very normal now.
Wishing you the best with your healing Dan ❤

I'm so proud of you and grateful for your sharing.
I've long wondered those who have recovered still speak of basic things to keep on top of recovery. I started my journey almost 2 yrs ago, after 19 yrs of being ill. It's working. You have shared IT IS POSSIBLE, it just takes time.
Just as you have experienced, recovery doesn't mean that we are 'bullet proof' for anything else. Praise God that your health challenges have not caused a CFS relapse. That just speaks volumes for what the effort we are working on will do.
I'm getting older, and I am seeing my own pace. Not societies, or even my family. I love my new way of life. It's keeping me and my system in a place of joy and peace. So I am able to handle what ever happens.
I look forward to continued recovery, and being resilient.
Thank you for sharing. Your genuineness speaks volumes for the kind heart you have and how much your program is truly for helping us.
    Wishing you blessings,
    Dee

Thank you for your honesty and vulnerability, Dan, and so sorry to hear about your health challenges. Your work helped me four years ago when I had dysautonomia and at the time was undiagnosed and scared. I read your book and watched your videos and it was these resources that helped me uncover what was happening with me, and get me on a path to healing and working with my nervous system. The work you do is so valuable. Wishing you all the healing.

So sorry, Dan, to hear about your recent health issues. I found your REWIRE program and TH-cam channel about 2 years ago after becoming very ill with CFS-like symptoms. When no medical professional was able to help me, your program got me on the road to recovery. I’m now much better. Thank you so much for all your wisdom! I’m glad hear that you are still helping people individually. ❤

Dear Dan, In 2019 I started your program and slowly, but surely I recovered after 40+ years of symptoms. You also spoke to me personally and I am forever grateful for the time and insights you gave me. During that call I said I aspired to be in one of your recovery videos and so frequently, i have wanted to write to you, but put it off because I hadn't taken the time to document my recovery. Well, this year has been a little tough and I have experience some symptoms flares and it has sent me back to the principles in the
program. I can only trust that I will come out the other side again. Your video about your struggles was heartbreaking - I hate to think of your suffering and admire your resilience and ability to give so much of yourself to all of us. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Thank you for sharing more of your story, Dan! Wishing you relief and healing. I'm grateful you feel able to share openly. I'm sure it was not easy to do so. It is an important model for all of us. We can experience recovery progress, and have other health challenges come along. Or relapse and still find recovery again. There is no "perfect" anywhere in life, but that doesn't erase the healing and improvement we can find. Take care!

I seen a couple of your podcasts and first I want to THANKYOU for letting us into your "" life". This was the first time for me in over 35 years that I feel someone understands. I have seen many doctors and I have tried all these years to have family feel fibro is real and the doctors to know my symptoms are real and I am not a hypochondriac. Two years ago I was diagnosed with diabetes. Now the doctors say my painful spasms and neuralgia is part of my diabetes but I have had some of these cases for many years. There is never a mention it could be my fibro. It's just medicine and more medicine. Sometimes I will sleep continually for 2 to 3 days before I can function a

Hi Dan, thanks a lot for this message 🙏🌞 When I saw this whole episode I almost stopped breathing in the beginning - at least I felt uncomfortable seeing you struggle to start the podcast. First I thought you had a relapse which had terrified me quite a bit because you are not the person I would expect to relapse and I too believe neither recovery/healing nor relapses with ME/CFS happen spontaneous or out of the blue. But when you continued to report from your several health challenges you went through the last years it was very clear to me that recovery indeed can be very resilient when we change our lives for the better and avoid the things that made us sick in the first place or rather engage in a very different way. So thanks for this strong message 🙏 And I wish you all the best for your personal health and wellbeing 🤗 You're one of the most inspiring and likable mentors on my recovery journey. The last two videos from you and Raelan were very valuable.
I have a question. I heard you talk about "sanitary-recoveries" (great interview with Beth French). I like that term😅
Did you completely avoided coffee or other caffeine sources during your recovery until you where fully recovered? And then reintegrated at a level that felt right? What do you recommend your clients in this regard? I would appreciate your answer.
    kind regards from Germany.

Thanks so much for your openness about your health and personal life struggles. You said it well; life goes on after recovery, curveballs included. I could see how difficult it was for you to share this-so thank you for sharing. The great thing is, we can use the tools we have learned from your program to help us through these inevitable curveballs-meditation, the noticing and stopping of unhelpful thoughts, maintaining clean diet.
I would go even further in saying that I believe that being open and vulnerable is actually a crucial habit in recovery. I believe living a life of congruency is vital to a healthy nervous system. It takes integrity and courage to lead a congruent life and you modeled that beautifully with this video. Thank you so much. And please don’t apologize-you gave us a gift! And, happy news-all these stressors did not trigger a relapse in your former ME/CFS illness. That information is very reassuring.

How to understand what CFS is.
How to get better in my own time using the tools that suit me.
I have been 💯 well for 9 months but can relate to wondering if it could come back.
However, I believe so long as I use my strategies for the rest of my life, there is less chance of that happening.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you.
Remember many of us who are well are now able to help others.

Thank you so much for sharing such a difficult story. I have had CFS for 33 years now. I first got sick when I was 14, though it was severe until I was about 35. I only recently discovered your program and I'm working steadily on my own progress. After only two weeks I have been able to do more cooking which is the thing I missed the most. Much of what you say makes sense to me, and it puts together a lot of pieces that I already knew, but when they are put together, the result is so much more powerful than the pieces themselves. This video was really helpful, because it gives me hope that there is truly a life beyond what I have known my whole adult life. I feel we live in a time where sharing our personal experience is important, as if we all need to be more and more human, sharing deep, loosing the masks, even if that's not why you did it in the first place. Your message is mooving things is me, like giving a more large perspective on recovery, on the body, on life. I hope I'm not over stepping, but as you help us sooooo much, I would like to give something back. So if you ever need drawing classes, I would be happy to offer because that's my job, If you feel like art could bring something to you. It's a serious offer if you ever want to try one day, now or in 10 years, you have a free pass 😀.

Thank you so much Olivia - that is so kind of you and I will keep it in mind if I find the bandwidth. Indeed as I go through the hardships of these things, my perspective of life is also shifting - towards acceptance, less attachment.

Thank you so much for your openness, Dan. It is reassuring to hear the good news that recovery can be resilient enough to withstand the curveballs life throws at us. Life goes on even after recovery, for better or worse. But if we use the tools we’ve learned in your program-meditation which helps us to notice and stop unhelpful thoughts, clean diet and lifestyle, etc.
I believe congruency in our lives is crucial to correcting and calming our nervous system, which takes integrity and courage, which you just modeled beautifully for us in this video. There is no reason to apologize for this gift!

I offer so much love to you and your family, Dan. Yes, this motivates me and actually puts me to shame (which in need to rewire as it is an unhelpful response) as I fumble along with recovery.
    Thank you for everything.
    Thank you for being you.

Don't worry, most of us fumble along at times. Sometimes get worse or we get some kind of prompt to spur us along - hope this has been that for you 😉👍

Hi Dan. Thank you for sharing this part of your journey with us. I know it must have been really hard, and you should be very proud of yourself for doing something that was obviously challenging♥️ You’ve been through a lot these past five years, and it is so encouraging to hear that your recovery from CFS and fibromyalgia has held strong! All of your content is amazing and I can’t wait to see some of the new snippets or shorter interviews that you produce.

Dan, thanks for opening up and being vulnerable. You have been there for us for years. It’s time for us to be there for you. Please know that you will be in my prayers regarding the adhesive disease. I believe in God, and I know He is good and loves you very much. I am praying for health and healing to your body and specifically the scar tissue that has developed in your body. I pray that The Lord will touch you first and foremost to relax and release those areas of adhesiveness. That you will be able to relax and rest again. I ask His precious Spirit to envelope you in love and warmth and cradle you with gentleness and kindness. As you allow His healing to do it’s work. If it feels like you have been under attack, it is because you have been. If we believe in good we have to believe in evil as well. You are bringing too much healing to others to not make the enemy of your soul pay attention to you. But according to The Bible he is a thoroughly defeated foe. Maybe you are not a believer, that is okay, He still loves you. He still gave his only begotten son for you, He still is for you not against you. It’s just so much better when we are aware of Him and talk to Him about everything. I pray mostly that you will know him. You and your family. And if you do already that you will all be strengthened by the prayers on your behalf.
Again, I am so very sorry for your difficulties and pray that you get relief soon.
    Being held,
    Dawn

I am also praying for you, Dan, and am always thankful for your teachings that have helped me so much. Also, take comfort in Habakkuk 3:17-19...that even when life seems to throw you one challenge after another, God can help you and even carry you safely over the mountains.

Thank you Dan. You have helped me. I don't know if you are able to obtain cannabis products. A topical that contains THC or THC and CBD (as long as the ratio was 50% or more THC) applied to the skin over you internal pain may help. Topical application will not affect your mind psychotropicly. I've used cannabis for CFS since 1973. I worked in a dispensary for 3 years. I've seen and experienced myself the help that stimulating the CB1 and CB2 receptors has on pain. Depending on your location trying it won't hurt.

Well, I think learning from our past mistakes is helpful - however, we must also be self-compassionate to recognise that we cannot do things perfectly, especially when under duress. Appreciate the nudge to a new perspective.
