- Welcome to the channel! In this video I give you an overview of the newest, upcoming release from IceMakes; EPOCHS, Course of Cultures. This is a fairly heavy-weight, 4X Civilization board game by Jeffrey CCH with a pretty hefty table presence and multiple paths to victory. Went looking for an overview of this game given some recent hype on it and clicked on the first video without looking too closely, haha it was you! Didn't even double check. Great overview, nice and tight vdieo thanks Jeff, perfect for what I was looking for really nice succinct overview of the play. These are previews I like most.

These videos will come out as needed and not be a part of the Weekly Ratchet? (which seems like a good idea to me.)
Yeah these videos are somewhat "commissioned" - I met some folks at IceMakes at GenCon in 2023 and have been chatting with them ever since. The Ratchet is something I do for fun and it keeps the channel from sliding into TH-cam obscurity. :)
And this is not their first civ game. I've been happy with every Ice Make game I own (Terrorscape, Eila and Something Shiny, Inheritors, Age of Civilization).
Did I say it was their first? Geez I hope not! :) We played their Age of Galaxy game today too - another precursor to Epochs (in my mind at least.)
