    I grew up in Florida. I wouldn’t have wanted it any other way. It is so different now. At least I got to see old Florida before it went. The sad thing is , we’ll never get back to how it was- a wild , mysterious, virgin wilderness. You have no idea.
    I’d get out now if I could, before it’s all gone.
    Now , Im looking for an eternal home that comes into view, as old Florida fades away …

    Thank you for making this. I'm a descendent of Eliza C (Hinson) Peper, who was the daughter of Andrew Jackson Hinson. Most of my family from this area has long since passed; and while I have the family archive of pictures, articles, letters and other documentation of this time (which are what I consider to be some of the most valuable items I own) - this provides a lot more context of what life was like back then in Florida.

    I had the pleasure of working with him when I volunteered for a whole winter on weekends back in 2009-2010. He's an awesome dude and I will never forget those days.
