Mr. Ndungu and the team thank you for the analysis. Whereas we all want to be involved in Uganda... there are many factors that have put us behind in terms of not coming forth.
1. The language factor is very key. As you put it always, people are indeed tired, but when asked what you are tired of....they can't explain that very well. They are either not informed or not interested.
2. Museveni has successfully managed to rule with divide and rule amongst us. It's a very common trait even at work nowadays. This is not the same in Kenya.
3. Lastly, on why Ugandans are not involved, we are not angry enough, and we actually don't know CORRUPTION in its entire meaning.

However, kindly permit me to differ a little bit on the issue of low citizen participation in leadership/political matters. You say mbu lwaakuba tulina buli kimu eg foods etc.
Nze ndowooza nti Ug citizen ignorance and non participation in leadership/political matters is a weakness created mainly by our education system which has been re-designed to churn out politically naive people -- remember these several items were expunged from Ug curriculum eg civic education, political education, political science and certain enlightening books eg Animal Farm

The major problem with Uganda is that we do not have one uniting factor; we are so divided. We do not even have a language to unite us and through which we can communicate a message that can reach the masses at all levels from top to bottom.

On the issue of encroaching on the lake. The water levels of L. Victoria have significantly increased in the last 10 years, meaning the boundaries of the lake have changed drastically. The beaches in entebbe are a good example, most of which have lost their sand to the lake. So if I have the capacity to buy and back fill land that the lake had eaten up, pushing the water back to its original boundary, is it a crime?

Naye bambi bana- Uganda forgive them...all those other countries have a unifying factor. Which is language. Uganda, we are divided by tribe. Nationalism is nearly impossible. But in Kenya and Tz. They have that unifying factor. Olulumi, among other factors. My 2 cents worth.
