We moved into our condo in 2006 so BGC has been around for a while. It was a masterplanned community which was the reason why we purchased a unit for our vacation home. USA is our permanent residence. Back in 2006, there were only a few condos in the city. Market Market and High Street were the main places to go.

The reason why very few tourists go to the Philippines compared to neighboring countries is because of perception issue. As you have mentioned, a lot of foreigners think that Manila (or Philippines for that matter) is dangerous and full of slums. We can only blame the media for that.

We are enriched by the biggest and kindest hearts ❤ you will come across 🌎, we are blessed by some of the most incredible landscapes throughout the archipelego, we are admired for the high pedestal in which we place the value of our familes, especially our elders, and our concept of service and genuine desire to help others is deeply engrained in our upbringing because it's probably encoded in the Filipino DNA. @@nycknickerbockers6427 well that is true. In terms of money, New York is huge and Philippines is small… only because nature and people are not only beyond the commerce of men and is priceless, or without monetary value. I’m pleasantly surprised that NYC is only 4 times larger. I thought it should be at least 10 times larger in terms of economy. There are a lot of millionaires in NYC. Business tycoons, etc2x. The only thing that’s declining in NYC and the rest of America that is quite concerning really are those large chunk of people who cannot seem to identify what a “woman” is. 🤪

Just to emphasize (as you said in 02:00) BGC is not in Manila so "BGC Manila" in the title is a misnomer. There is no such place.
BGC is in Taguig which is a city by itself just like Manila. However, both Taguig and Manila are part of "Metro Manila" which is the old but still popular name of the National Capital Region (NCR). Altho the "C" in BGC is "City", it is not actually a city by law definition. It is a business district in Taguig City. So the proper address of BGC is : BGC, Taguig City, Metro Manila, PHL.
Pls stop lumping everything you see here as "Manila". Manila is just one of 16 cities that comprise Metro Manila. We do not want foreigners to have misunderstanding with airport taxi drivers for telling them "Manila" thinking BGC would just be in the next corner or something -- it's not. Manila and Taguig are at the opposite ends of the NCR.

Why are people so afraid of slums?
Our school has allowed us to immerse in slum areas around Metro Manila, and most, if not all of them are happiest and the most accomodating people you'll ever meet. I can say they're even more genuine, humble and friendly than the ones in higher classes. Many foreign vloggers can prove that it is generally safe to walk around Tondo, Pasay, etc. Only the lame and the ignorant are afraid of the 'poor'.

Bangkok highrises are sprawing and not well planned, clean and organized. its just that Bangkok Has quite good transportations so much to offer in a good price both foods and accomodations. and i really understand however Thailand Economy is only relying to tourism sectors unlike PHILIPPINES the economy is more on services like BPO, overseas and Manufacturing. but, onces the Tourism industry of the Philippines will become developed it would probably surpass Thailand. Philippine nature, islands and water are out of the world.

The word Overrated is something that usually connotes negative impression . Having this is your title doesn't give justice to those who appreciated this pride of Manila. So be careful of what you tag on your video. Because before you say something in your video make sure its perfect as well.

But it's getting old now when more and more vloggers doing just the same content which other gazillion foreign vloggers already have done. We know you guys are just here for the "spike" (good for tourism still).. To me (IMO), it's really getting old. I wished going to the unbeaten path are explored more often.

BGC is not in Manila. It's in Taguig.
Pls stop lumping everything as "Manila". It's just one of the 16 cities that comprise Metro Manila (more formally, the NCR).
