Thank you very much for taking the time to make this video on the Ava - my old washer just gave up yesterday and now have the Easy P57 on the way with the premium snowfoam gun. It's a shame they don't offer the larger cups on their own at the moment as it felt a bit daft to buy another nozzle for the sake of getting a 1L container (which was all I really needed). Looks a great, well thought out machine for the home user. Also thanks for pointing out the Karcher quick connect compatibility - now I won't have to throw out all my other accessories that I bought with that connector on!
Currently own a GoP55. Great machine compact, portable with very good pressure. To finish off 10yr guarantee very satisfied. Works very well with my MJJC Cannon.
Hi Specky, Another great video. My old Nilfisk has now loosed its mortal coil. I had been looking at the more powerful AVA P57 but it is sold out everywhere. Looking at your video the P40 is going to be enough for my needs so many thanks for posting such a comprehensive video. I also notice that you are in Aberdeen. I also stay in Aberdeen in Danestone. If I bump into you sometime I will definitely buy you a pint! Regards, Hutton
It does look nifty lots of accessories as standard and well demonstrated but I don’t think it’s a review as the title states.. correct me if I’m wrong but you don’t mention that this was sent for free so technically a paid promotion, I assume there’s also an affiliate link with commission? Nothing wrong with these things but I expected you’d be transparent.
What a well thought out machine, the zero force trigger and the graduations in the bottom of the snowfoam cups sparked my interest, great review👊 Also loving The Speccy & Paul talk detailing podcast, i do get some funny looks when i burst out laughing while walking the dogs.
Really good explanation and demonstration there. It looks like a bunch of guys have designed a pressure washer to solve the problems/ issues they encounter when using a certain bright yellow coloured one. And boy does it look an impressive piece of kit. Cheers for the video
Hi Thanks for the review I purchased a Easy p57 based on your detailed feedback. Waited a few months though as they were completely sold out of stock! looking forward to using it Thanks
Ah, been looking forward to this review since you mentioned it on insta. Defo looks like a brilliant upgrade to my now defunct K2 machine, Cheers Specky!
Greate review specky. I do think AVA are a fantastic range, they do I think about the user when designing. Also the servicing kits are a brilliant if you want service the machine yourself
What a bit of kit. So well thought out and ideal for detailing and around the house. Definitely be considering if/when my Nilfisk pops it’s clogs especially at that price
Nice review I have had the AVA p70 for about a year what a cracking bit of kit , it comes with a 20 year warranty, they have thought of everything, they knock the spots off the Kerchers.
Really informative review Craig - I am impressed with the completeness of the package and even more impressed with the long warranty and maintenance policy. My aging K2 is getting very incontinent and as I replaced the seals a few years ago I expect to be looking for a replacement sooner rather than later and the AVA looks perfect for my needs.
Thanks Colin, it's a great machine and a direct upgrade for someone like you with a Karcher. It's got everything you'll need so don't forget to use my link when you buy one 😉👍🏻
Hi Specky we’re can I get a adapter for Ava to fit MTM Subby gun from a Nilfisk? I checked Ava Website not seen Quick release? Or do know if it fit straight on? I have seen another Video were it was straight on Ava flexi hose. Thanks great video on Demonstrating 👍
Definitely would look at this if I was in the market for one. I’m sure you know, but a Megapascal is one million Pascals. Basically the 16 MPa means 160 Bar, as there are 100,000 Pascals in one Bar 👍
Great review. Seems like a well thought out and engineered machine. Only thing is (at least in Australia) it seems expensive compared to the competition at that price point which have a much higher flow output, induction motor and less plastic-ey. On the other hand, definitely some great features that other manufacturers haven't thought of.
It seems almost anyone who has a detailing channel on You Tube has been sent (gifted) one of the AVA range of pressure washers. Interesting review with good detail, why can none of these manufacturers produce a pressure washer with a lower dB rating, I'd then be tempted to upgrade my current Nilfisk.
I haven't watched the video yet, is this pressure washer loud or quiet ? I have a K2 and don't mind paying extra just to have a quieter machine plus a longer hose. What is your nilfisk ?
My Nilfisk C120 has a noise level of 70db, the Karcher K2 is 90db and the Ava Easy P40 is 95db. It is noticeably louder than my C120 so hopefully this will help you decide which machine is best for you.
@@SpeckyMcSporran damn I swear this video was about the p57 but I assume the motor is identical. There is 2 measurements of noise, lpa and lwa you must be confusing the two, there is no way there's a 20db difference between the nilfisk and the Karcher and Ava, otherwise the c120 is super duper quiet. Anyway I tried the k4 on a store and although it is only 1db less, it sounds much quieter maybe because it has a deeper sound. I also have an eye on the nilfisk e 145 which is 83db but unfortunately I can't try it locally nor there is a video where you can listen properly.
Great review Specky. Well presented. I bought the P60 Evo to replace my tired K4. I have to agree with you, they are really well thought out machines. The guarantee is a big selling point.
Good review Craig! I bought the AVA P55 Go earlier in the year (I do my detailing in the yard outside my work, and keep my kit in a store room the office is at a premium) and have been quite impressed with it -I did have the locking ring on the original stubby gun jam solid but AVA sent me a zero force one. One caveat is that AVA have become so popular their customer service had got backlogged but they seem to be catching up and looking at the stubby gun you got with the Easy P40 (which seems to be a new version) it seems they try to implement continuous improvement..
It's so well equipped that there's very little most of us would need to add or change. I hope they continue to follow the trends of the industry and the users 🤞🏻
interesting, very comparable pricing between karcher nilfisk and ava with this one. this is the 2nd or 3rd review for one of these where the reviewer doesn't mention the pump being metal. Looks good, but worried about how much daily use (rhymes with abuse) the lance and locking mech will take. If they only give a discount on their buckets :)
PLEASE DONT BE FOOLED ABOUT THE WARRANTY ITS BEEN 5 WEEKS IAM TRYING TO SORT OUT WARRANTY CLAIM MY GUN IS NOT WORING YOU ARE TALKING TO A EMAIL ITS NOT WORTH THE PAPER IT WRITTEN ON STICK TO KARCHER AT LEAST YOU TALK TO A HUMAN AND FOR PEOPLE WHO RELAY ON THE WASHER FOR WORK IT SAYS IT WILL TAKE 13-14 DAYS FOR A reply
If you're on a water meter then this might help. The P40 runs at a maximum flow rate of 390 litres per hour, the P57 runs at a maximum of 500 litres per hour so the P40 might cost you a little less to run. Otherwise the 120 Bar of pressure in the P40 is more than enough for car cleaning whereas the P57s 145 Bar will be better for more heavy duty jobs. Hope this helps.
A great indepth review without it being boring... I bought the girlfriend an AVA, I know romantic, for use at her place... She has done the patio and I get to do my car when I'm there. Win win
Excellent review Mr Speccy. Loved your review, very in-depth covering all angles I absolutely love mine also Can’t wait to see it featured further on more content ❤
Great, thorough, review as always Craig. The AVA looks like an impressive piece of kit with some novel features. Regards to you and the family as always, D.
Watched another review of these AVA machines but it was pretty unintelligible. Your review allows one to make an informed decision, very well done. But, when you were demonstrating the spinning nozzle on the patio, you did it in a lert-to-right pattern. As a detailler, shouldn't you have done it cross-hatched?. I mean, for even coverage.😂😂
Hi Guys, AVA pressure washer, I just want to give a heads up about my experience with them. Mine started to leak after a year, it’s only the P55, but not really the point. Initially contracted Ava, and they arranged to send out some parts, free of charge and arrived next day, great service, but that’s changed!! The parts fitted, still leaks; so back on to Ava, explaining I would prefer them to take a look this time. This is going to be free if covered by warranty if not £100 to cover postage and repair, or £50 if diagnosed but sent back to me I unrepaired. So firstly it didn’t get collected by courier, ok maybe not Ava fault, so tried to get back in touch Auto bot reply on chat useless Email sent no reply Fault email sent no reply Further email sent no reply Filled in form for another collection- not collected I write this long winded message just to warn members, as I was attracted to the 10/20 year warranty. And I thought when working it was a great bit of kit, it seems when it’s not there are potential short falls Vent over, thanks Steve.
Looks class mate 👍 Mr Dolden will be proud 💦🔫 😂😂 My friend in work has just bought the p60 with the 3 foam cannons. He was sold on the 20 year warranty 🤯
Ok ...... Soo this is so far the best review iv seen of these pressure washers and it's almost almost got me interested 😬😬😬😬😬😬 just from and outside view and not using it the cannons look great but feel a little gimmicky I can't Imagen using them very often... Other then that just looks like a great pressure washer especially if you want an all rounder
Cheers Darren! Honestly the included foam cannon delivers a better foam experience than one of my aftermarket units. The Premium kit isn't for everyone though, but I like the idea of being able to store some of my favourite chemicals in a "ready to use" situation. But the machine itself is excellent and ready to use without any need to upgrade in a hurry. I'm sure you'll have a few folk local to you that have one, put the word out and give it a try yourself 👍🏻
I’m so glad you have one of these mate awesome review I love mine 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Cheers Paul, I'm delighted to finally have one and now I see why there's so much hype! 😎👌🏻

Best review I've seen on this product well done. I will be looking at getting one of these. How has it held up since you did this review?
This is the best Ava review I have seen so far. You make explicit things not mentioned even in detailing channels!!

Great informative video. What setting on the foam lance do you generally use for not too much consumption of chemical ?
I always leave the lance at its maximum setting and dilute the product to suit the job.
Greate review specky. I do think AVA are a fantastic range, they do I think about the user when designing. Also the servicing kits are a brilliant if you want service the machine yourself

Just ordered the p50 from b&q for £189 no bundle but just ordered the foam Canon from ava cos that's all I need, hope to see you back on TH-cam soon
Excellent, thanks Mark 🙏🏻

Well what’s the verdict on the p50 from

On the other hand, definitely some great features that other manufacturers haven't thought of.
The models available in Aus come with short hoses except for the p70, which is quite expensive.
How loud would you say the machine is compared to other pressure washers that you’ve used?
Good question! Honestly I'd say it's a little louder than my Nilfisk C120 but not by much. It's only really noticeable when you're close to the unit.
Excellent review, would my aftermarket rubber karcher hose fit in the go series models
I haven't seen a way of replacing the hose so I can't be sure. There may be a way to extend the hose but I can't be sure.

I had the same dilemma, and as it was only around £60 more, I went for the P57. Future proofing for potential future heavier jobs.
@James I did the same
picked up a sparingly used one with the full package for £80
Great video buddy. I highly rate the Ava range owning the Evolution P60 myself. Top work buddy and a very enjoyable watch. See ya at Waxstock.
Count on it!
Thank you for detail presentation, AVA if discount code with it would be highly appreciated 😅
Haha wouldn't that be nice? 👍🏻
I am pending to purchase this AVA P40 or other brand
To my knowledge they haven't issued any discount codes for anyone. I do think this is a better purchase than others at a similar price.
