    Samuel Doe die because he was so greedy for power, when you put a poor man in power, he will never allow another to take over.

    Brings back memories, I spent some time in Liberia during the Doe 21:54 regime. Actually I worked with a Samuel Doe who was a manager in the Telecom company which was sometimes confusing as Samuel Doe was also the name of the Head of State. I lived in the Ducor Palace. Not there any longer.

    I read the write up in the description box. I remember the stories about Gen Quainoo's role that day. Nicknamed "Buffalo Soldier" because of his "beefy" build, he is to this day ridiculed for having gone to take cover that day, rather than lead the weaker Gambian troops (who had just taken over from the Nigerian forces in a changing of the guard) to fight off Johnson's men.
    The footage of Doe's torture and killing was particularly harrowing, with Johnson presiding over the event "cooly" sipping a can of Budweiser whilst being fanned by a lady.
    Interesting to note that Charles Taylor is doing 50 years in a prison in County Durham, UK whilst Johnson, alive and well, is a member of the Liberian Senate. Life!

    • @tonyebiere551
      @tonyebiere551 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      anyone who thinks Quainoo took cover is naive. It was all planned by Nigeria's president and the rebels that the only way to end the war was that Doe had to be eliminated. Not even a single ECOMOG soldier was killed on the day Prince Johnson abducted Doe but all Doe's soldiers, nearly 100 people where killed. IT WAS ALL PLANNED TO DELIVER DOE TO HIS ENEMIES. Doe was not a smart man , if he was he would have insisted that the meeting take place in his town

    Thanks Mr. Emmanuel Bowier.
    But the reason didn't understand him is because he was controlled by Wallstreet (stock market) as the object of BET (as also in black entertainment tv).
    Even that poor white judge, James Henry Pearson (who was suffering in Liberia there) said the same thing.
    Never listened!
    The theory of disobedience is what wallstreet implement in our homes and families. That's the most reason children don't listen even to their parents.
    Can't talk tell judgment day, it's for nothing.
    Note my case in Columbus Ohio.
    Failing to understand somethings don't have to be experience, and is why we parents or concerns seek to give advices, guardians and other necessary help ➡️.
    The point there and after is simply, somethings people do their selves (regardless freedom) equally suffers others.
    God bless Liberia 🇱🇷
