for my own experience just a couple of weeks ago, I applied for the night shift . I did the video interview and in person interview , the main focus of questions, were basically asking your experience , can you work at a certain time, what are your other commitments outside of work, what's your transportation from home to work, what other job can you do beside the role you applied for. and most importantly is to be prepared for unexpected questions thrown to you, and lastly, ask more questions back, so they know your more then interested . also to don't rush answering the questions, even though I was nervous , I had to remind myself to slow down and rethink my answers before I give the wrong impression. this video really helped a lot to really boost my confidence and get a better understanding about the company . I hope this helps someone out there, and safe to say I got the job 😊 😇
@@nqwochimy interview was great! obviously, every interviewer is different but mine asked me about my hobbies and goals and also a few situation questions that related to the position i was applying for! my first shift was also super good! they showed us where everything was and taught us everything we needed to know about the registers & then we got to serve some customers :)
Went for my group interview today and it was great. The atmosphere was positive and everyone in the group worked well together 😊 hopefully hear back from them in the upcoming week 👍
This video was very helpful, thank you! I had an in-store interview today and the questions asked were: 1. Tell me a little about yourself 2. Why Woolworths? 3. What are your availabilities? 4. What does good customer service mean to you?
I just had mine just then and they asked the following: 1. tell us a bit about yourself and why you want to work there 2. What is your availability - be specific with days and times 3. Do you have any other school or work commitments? 4. When have you worked in a team environment? Examples and what does that involve? 5. Have you had customer service experience and what is good customer service? 6. anything else you would like to add?
I have an online interview becauseof covid which is scaring the hell out of me as a middle age woman. Thank you so much for giving me an in nsight and helping me prepare for it. Its a much needed job to put food on the table for me n my kids. I feel forearmed now. Will keep you updated.

I did the video interview and half-way through recording my phone fell over (ya boi is too poor for a pc/laptop to record lol) and I picked it up and tapped “stop recording” because I thought I could re-do it… Nope! So instead, I carried out the rest of the interview answering normally. The last question was “Is there anything else you would like to add?” And I just went back to the first question and did the second half again and explained how it was a mis-click and accidentally stopped recording. Thought it was over but I was offered the job so I’m pretty happy about that I also had a bit of a mind blank during one of my questions and thought I was for sure not getting it. Anything can happen I guess
@@sarbjitsingh6193 Nope. They either messaged or emailed (can't remember) for me to come in and do a shift trial on checkout. Hope the interview went well and that you got the job! So I was wondering after how long when you applied for the job, did Woolworths get back to you? Because I applied around 1 or nearly 2 months ago and I haven’t received any email yet 😬
@@shireenk865 I applied about a week ago and heard back within a couple days. They then wanted me to fill out a survey, which I did. Then a few days after that they asked me to do a online interview which I am doing tomorrow :)
my video interview question were, 1 = tell me about yourself and what has motivated you to apply for woolworths 2 = have you ever worked in a team and if so what did you like about it 3 = avaliablity 4= do you have any commitments outside of work or school 5 = anything else youd like to add I would appreicate if someone knows how long till they would contact me after video interview,
If I was a manager and had someone come in that was super enthusiastic to work at woolworths and looking at it as a career. I would be surprised and a part of me would feel sorry for them. Of Course they wouldn't be serious, no one in their right mind would be like that. And id feel like they were just saying what needed to be said and lying to me. What ever happened to being honest and being yourself while being positive. No one knows the history of woolworths, sure basic knowledge is good. But to ask such questions for a night filler position seems like a waste of every ones time. I already lack confidence in their HR department.
I submitted mine just before - the questions are pretty much the same as everyone has been commenting. You get about a minute 30 to think of your answer before recording. The big downside was the connection. I thought I had good connection but halfway through questions it would cut out and I would have to start all over again. Not liking my chances just wished I had better connection. Overall though it isn’t that hard
These are the ones I got for a video interview. 1) Tell us about yourself and what has motivated you to apply for a job at Woolworths Group? 2) What does good customer service look like to you, and how would you show good customer service? 3) Can you tell us an example of when you had to work with others? What do you like about working in a team? This could include examples from previous jobs, sports teams or at school. 4) Please specify what days and times you are regularly available to work. (e.g Monday 4pm to 8pm) 5) What other commitments outside of school or work do you currently have? Are there any times that you could not be available for work? They give you 5 retries. And if you need to stop and walk away, you can.
To those anxious individuals like I was their video interview format is very relaxed, letting you read the question ahead of time and answer when you are ready, and if you stuff up your recording you can re-record it up to 5 times per question! The recordings are capped at 1 min in length but you are also able to stop it whenever you run out of things to says :)
What would be a good example of an actual weakness that doesn't affect your performance too significantly? Can social anxiety be one if it's not severe?
