Great job as always! Apologies if this has been explained previously, but could you clarify why the bottom shutters are not bifold like the top ones?
I have to replace like for like - all the houses in the area have solid shutters down below. Pinned as a lot of people are asking!!

Take a tip from an old man. Back pain is nature's way of saying "STOP!" it is not nature's way of telling you to put a support belt on.
I understand there are reasons to try and work through the pain barrier. But, if you want to enjoy the fruits of your labour for years to come, take a break when your back tells you to.
and this old lady agrees!! I understand the feeling of impatience to get things done, but you have years ahead of you still.
I'm 70, and I can attest to this!

You may not be a professional tiler, but you are a perfectionist! Did you know that Persian rug weavers always put in at least one error because only God can perfect?! Fine buns and nice dimples too!
Hope poor Edd's back survives the stresses and strains of working at such an awkward angle. Just hope the back support helps.

Anna’s Ariel Photography shows the reason why that corner is Damp. The tree branches above the wall create a drip line over the corner all the limbs above the wall should be trimmed back to keep the corner dry. Trees have drip lines they cause the water to shed around the perimeter of the tree. Also the adjacent roof.

The triangular area in an awkward to reach spot wearing a back brace with a bad back = dedication!! Anna is so supportive and Edd, I give you an A+ for a job well done. And yes it does come across as a tricky tricky job, so don’t be hard on yourself Edd. Anna great camera work and video. ❤

That was some very tricky and impressive piecework, Edd! Looks stunning. I can just imagine the bench lined with pillows and potted plants. What a beautiful, private, and relaxing area it will be.

The doors are wood they have a cast iron grill.

Put your water in first and than your cement, than you have no dry power at bottom of bucket,same when you make a cake or cookies.😊Should have put the hooks on the wall and the eye hook on the door,wouldn’t be so noticeable, but you do such wonderful work.

Have you considered getting a tile saw? The water keeps the dust down. They are more accurate. And the tiles are less likely to crack. You tile enough to have one

Kudos to Edd for doing the bend and stretch, tiling in that awkward corner with a back brace on. They're hot, itchy, push your pants down, make your shirt ride up and are seriously irritating. Yet you manage to remain focused, smiling & pleasant... placing quality workmanship above personal comfort. I would've spazzed out in frustration or the 1st sign of pain. I respect your dedication.
Keeping the front of the house as close too original as possible has really paid off. It looks amazing.❤
I just noticed a tree limb above your head in the corner. It is causing water to enter your seating area also. Just need to trim it back. Lots of love from the USA. ❤

LOL! Watching Edd laying tiles brought back memories. That's why I always pay for those services now. That's why I enjoy watching the more gifted doing it. The occasional hiccup only makes it more interesting.

this is looking so nice. What a great city/town house. i bet the neighbors are so happy you have done this.
You should use a larger notched trowel to lay the tile adhesive, and the adhesive needs to be stiffer. The bottom of the bucket is like that because first the bucket should be clean and first you put the water and then you add the dry mix to it. Mixing throughly and scrap. It’s the same for plastering.
The neighbours must be thrilled at the fantastic job you are doing ….

The shutters look great and the garden room looks lovely. Just wish you could place a glass roof over it. That would be an all year round dining area for me. Love it. It's so unique. The work is so well done

The tile seating area is great! I definitely don't mind the bum shots, it really doesn't show anything but his skin and skiveys. My grandson likes Calvin Klein's too.😂😂Anna is shooting from an angle that it is all the only shots she can get.😉The angles of the seating area are quite unique to tile. It seems a bit of a strain on your back too, even with the back brace. I do worry about you, Edd.😊

Should put the hooks on the wall, then they will not swing and scratch your paintwork..
Just don't fall backwards Edd :) question is will you tile the wall a small bit to hit under the where someone would sit so their back isn't against the wall but a tile would be more comfortable and easier sit against even if the tenant put pillows against the wall it wouldn't sit on the render. Better to stop than carry on when pain is present always another day when you are rested than waiting 2 weeks because you have hurt your back. I can never get in a lift with any perfume wearer as I am allergic. I love the scent of flowers and incense but not candles. The only exception is Hyacinth flowers. Well done Edd and Anna :)

Love your work! Imo the latches on the outside of the shutters are beefy enough compared to the hinges. I personally would have like to see a cream color for them, but what you and Anna do always comes out beautiful!
