très beau résultat final je dirai même assez bluffant au niveau des cuirs faut dire la qualité est pas la même que chez renault ,ce coupé 500 sl vieilli bien et plus harmonieux que les nouveaux

et pour le Karsher : pas trop près, éviter les endroits à risque...
le Karsher c'est pour rincer, pas nettoyer, le nettoyage se fait avec un pinceau.

What is the name of the leather cleaner used? It is amazing the transformation, especially on the steering wheel. How strong is it? Would it only be safe for use on certain types of leather?
Looks like a DA sander hooked up to an air compressor for power. However it kinda looks like he has clay attached to it instead of wetsanding paper. I could see that as being pretty nifty.
Superbe travail. Mais un tabouret pour le nettoyage des jantes et des passages de roue ne serait pas superflu ; le gain en confort pour les genoux est incroyable.

Pour cette rénovation... Oui, car il avait beaucoup de boulot, mais d'une manière générale ça va, juste un peu d'eau pour le prélavage, 20 litres pour les 2 seaux et un peu pour le rinçage.

Je ponce toujours au 3000, pas moins car ça fait des défauts profonds sinon.
en l'occurence sur cette SL j'ai utilisé du 3M Trizak en 3000...

you're right for the 3M yellow pad but the orange was a lake country...
Si bien sur, un degraissant contenant des agents anti corrosifs, et jet principalement sur les caches en plastiques etc...
éviter toutes les parties électriques bien entendu.

Rien...j'évite juste la zone ou se trouve la distribution, démarreur, alternateur etc... (toute la partie avant quoi) c à d que je ne mets pas la lance du nettoyeur haute pression directement dessus...

Great video, what grade did you start sanding with. Did you take any readings on the clear coat thickness? Also how do you compare this DA sander with a mirka.
Pas de passage de clay car l'ensemble du véhicule est passé au wetsanding, bien plus efficace qu'une décontamination...

quoique un Trizak en 3000 attaque pas mal (mais s'use vite) comparé aux Mirka...

What pad are you using on the 3M palm sander/polisher? Are you lightly wet sanding prior to compounding? Just curious. Really nice job on that car. I'm just a home enthusiast but I try to get the best clarity that I can for a home detailer. What GRIT number sanding disc are you using when wet sanding? Also, if you don't mind, what follow up compound and polish did you follow the wet sanding with? I know it said 3M products in the description, I was just wondering what 3M products you utilized to get the shine and clarity? What foam pads? One more question, is that 3M palm sander/polisher variable in speed? I don't have an air compressor or the ability to have a palm sander like that, but I would love to get one. I have been thinking about getting a Mirka electric powered palm sander which is similar to the 3M you are using here in the video other than it doesn't need the air compressor. Thanks for the info.
