There's something about the Tomb Raider games that just look sooo good. Whether it's the graphics, storyline, or death-defying, rock-climbing action, this game screams quality.
The last game is still top in graphics, animations, and just general gameplay next to assassin's creed origins, but I know for a fact this game is going to be one of the best of the year. I just preordered because this looks so god damn fun!

At the beggining of this play demo it had a vibe of Uncharted 4. Soon, however, it turned into Lara exploring another beautiful set of ruins. Lara Croft has been one of my favourite adventure game series lately and this title promises to not break it. I love the minimal interface that doesn't turn the game into "follow highlighted borders and blinking stuff". Also, if the game continues what predecessors did, we can expect nice optimization, fun story and gameplay as well as ports on Mac and Linux platforms :)
Keep in mind, they are playing this in 4K, and this is a TH-cam video. Doesn't help those trying to see how this game looks like 1080p, first-hand. I guess we'll have to wait.

There are lots of cheaper 4k options these days and if you have a Nvidia video card since like the 700 series or so you can use DSR to play ANY game at 4k on ANY monitor. I played rise of the tomb raider at 4k on a 1080p before I even owned a 4k monitor. Nvidia's DSR is really one of the best things in the world. The only problem with upscaling is that windows is soooo tiny font and is the true reason to own a 4k monitor, but for games, any monitor will do.
Uhh... there's a huge difference between a 1080p monitor and a 4k monitor, no matter if you use DSR. No matter how much DSR you use, you will not get 4k on a 1080p monitor. If your video card is capable of 4k gaming then do yourself a favor and get a 4k monitor instead.

And you're wrong, sorry buddy, but you're very wrong - on Nvidia's youtube channel no less, straight from their website (and I've tested it SIDE BY SIDE on a 4k monitor and a 1080p monitor). Simply put, it renders a game at a higher, more detailed resolution and intelligently shrinks the result back down to the resolution of your monitor, giving you 4K, 3840x2160-quality graphics on any screen." I'm also on a top end gaming PC and play all games at 4k 60 FPS but this was a response to someone who doesn't have a 4k rig and I was simply suggesting to others out there who may not know their video card has the capability.
I love Tomb Raider. I grew up playing it on my PS1. But Over the years I've grown to love the Uncharted series. I like them both for their own reasons. I will always play a new TR because its what I grew up playing. And a new Uncharted is always a thumbs up.

I loved Crystal Dynamics for making great quality Tomb Raider games, but I always saw the reboot and RoTR as these fantastic stories. Hopefully this new studio can clean it up a bit more, so we can see the progression of improvements in graphics fidelity!
+moeez shahid I was refering to the "Purehair" option in the 2016 game that once enabled makes Lara's hairs move more realistically. In this video it looks the same as when that option is disabled.
The hairworks is enabled but it seems that they have made a mistake with how the physics works and I'm sure that @FoxyLolly talks about the design of the hair which is the exact same model from rise of the tomb raider .
This trilogy is often refered as the story of how Lara became the Tomb Raider, so don't think of her as the Lara you know yet. Maybe she'll have the braid by the very end of the game or in a post main story DLC if they decide to do it.

I don't know if its an art direction problem or a game engine limitation issue but the lighting looks kinda off, like theres too much indirect lighting or not enough ambient occlusion and the textures on the vegetation, notably the vines are really flat.
The "depth of field" setting is broken in graphics settings. I constantly faced black background during cutscenes. I had to disable it completely. Only then were the cutscenes ran fine

I play first game of this new Tomb Raider and it was really fun, but its a game that you play only one time. Second game kind of missed me. In this we came back to jungle. In first game i really missed tombs. There was some, but not really many a puzzles was easy to solve. I hope this one continue building great serie.

Resident Evil 2's Remake is just absolutely incredible. They *really* need to work on Lara's animations. She looks like a doll that's been ported from the old, old Tomb Raider.
Look at how she smashes that pickaxe into the wall.
Tomb Raider from 12 - 10 years ago have more fluid animations and sense of weight to the character than these new games.

GeForce RTX is not only meant for gaming but also for the development of the neural networks .
As I am a developer as well as a gamer I know it's value,that how much it meant to me .
This could help me to game and even to develop complex neural networks within no time.
Played the first 2 entries in this series on Xbox. I want to continue on PC though.

Incredible quality. From first Tomb Raider to this one :) piece of art. Honestly i would like to see that on my pc, unfortunatelly my device is lacking good quality graphics :/ Have very very old one :( from 2009 :/
