I didn’t know about military records. But once the VA requests your STR’s those records are transferred to the VBA and no longer in St. Louis. From what I heard. I have copies of both on hand.
Yes, many vets have never filed a claim and need this information before submitting a claim. ITF, and then get records from St. Louis. I am looking to get the medical records of my ship. There was an about 260 of sailors that got sick all at once on the ship. I was one of them. There's not much of a mention in my medical records about it...What type speciality researcher would you recommend for researching medical logs for a particular ship at a particular time?
Someone that can get what is called deck logs. When I rated, I've seen deck logs with information in them that was not in the veterans records. When you click that link for researchers, look for deck logs and you can call them and see if they can research those for the ship you where on. Here is a nugget, if you file a claim for that condition, put the request in your personal record and ask the VSR to go out for the deck logs. They will need to know the ship name, month and year of the incident. Good luck. Say Dwayne would this be the same info that can be requested via a postal request. I contacted national records archives earlier this year while going through the claims process and I received a response that they did not have my service treatment records. I'm thinking this was due to the fact that the VBA had the records.
Hey Paul. Yes, VBA could have them. You can submit a FOIA request to VBA. Go from 0% to HERO and win the VA compensation you deserve, with my monthly veteran membership: 💪 Sign up now and take the first step towards a smoother VA journey - va.kmd89.com/membership

I see that old Freightliner in the back, is that an old XL. My buddy drives a Peterbilt. Congrats on the wins. It's all about being educated and I'm glad to hear you followed the blueprint of my videos. Now if we can get other veterans to follow the same blueprint, we can reduce that backlog with wins. What records do they have? I'm looking for my medical evacuation flight record. I was injured in Iraq and sent to Germany for care. Will they have those? Do I have to pay someone to get my records as I can't travel to St Louis? They can't just mail everything?
They should have what your branch sent them. When you called and emailed them, did they let you know if they would send them. Also, I do talk about hiring a researcher in the video. I used the portal twice 1st time only received my ready reserve records not my active duty. Second request they said my records were sent to the VA. Still not seen them.

@ thank you! I have a lot to work on but been out many years self medicating and just pushing through I’m definitely going to join your gold membership at the very least.
Dewayne, new to your channel. Very informative and you earned another subscriber A question a little off topic from the subject of this video. I was rated 20% for left shoulder tendinitis service connected, but I’ve been feeling joint and muscle pain in my right shoulder probably so to overcomoensating especially since my two boys are growing. What are your thoughts of being able to link my right shoulder to my left or would this link not be possible Also I’ve tried requesting my records before. They sent me a disc, but is there any way to receive documentation by paperback?
Thanks for the support and I know you will find the videos educational. Yes, you can claim it secondary, make sure you can explain how you have been over compensating. Also, make sure you have an X-ray that confirms the DX. You can ask them for paper, you may have to pay for it and it may take longer. In the previous video, I showed the contact information for people that you could hire to search certain records. TH-cam took it down and I re-recorded another video without that information.
