I remember back in the day, I use to use safety pins (I had all sizes) to close the gaps on my button-down shirts. It was an art not to get the pin to show, lol. It's been years since I've worn a button-down shirt. The next time I wear a button-down shirt, I am going to try your suggestion. Looks much easier and cause no damage to the shirt. Great tips. Thank you so much for these tips. I've added the lint trimmer, top stick, and a steamer to my shopping list. One other thing I use a lot is Wonder Web. You can use it to iron in a hem if you've lost a gem on a skirt or trouser. I'm not very good at sowing so Wonder Web has saved an outfit for me a couple of times.

I remember folding and stemming items. I also have a degree in Fashion Buying & Merchandising. Never seen that way to hang sweaters, love it!! The way I said "What!" out loud when you showed how to hang a sweater! Girl! Now, I admit that I've seen people do something similar with jeans. But I've never seen that with sweaters. And I used to work retail also. The only sweater (or shirt for that matter) that wasn't folded was the one on display. I still catch myself out shopping reaching over to fold a shirt that someone just threw down without folding it. That was one of my pet peeves. And I still do the finger spacing in my own closet. Lol. But thank you for the sweater folding tip.❤
I didn't learn that from working in retail lol. That's how sweaters are hung in the film industry to keep them looking good for continuity purposes. I worked in retail while I was in college and the only thing I learned was how to finger space 😂🤣🤣
Wanted to follow up on this video. I bought most of what you'd recommended. I have my plastic bin sitting in my closet and use what I need now and then. Today though. Today I used the Janie stick for the first time. I made a breakfast burrito and a huge chunk of egg and cheese fell onto my shirt and rolled down. BIG oil stain. I used my Janie stick on it and it absorbed that oil so well I was amazed. I do need to hit it with a bit of spray and wash to get all of the janie stick white off of it, but the shirt is saved. Thank you!

Never knew there was such a thing as a makeup cover!! I’ve been using a regular plastic grocery bag to do the same thing for year to protect my makeup and hair when I put on clothes! I can step my game up now 😂 and not be “so common” as my mama would say!

I have a travel steamer so I need to buy a larger one so I don't have to use my iron! I'm sure we are ALL here for any industry tips you would like to share.
