I like how you said, “I don’t think it’s appropriate to say specific clothing that you should wear to look put together” this respect different types of people with different styles. 💕
1. Dress for weather 2. Handheld Steamer 3. Wear clothing for your body type 4. Personal hygiene - nails gel manicure, clean styled hair 5. Skin care routine 6. Simple natural makeup routine 7. Grooming brows , legs underarms shaved , brow gel. 8. Smile - take care of teeth with brush and floss , hydrogen peroxide. 9. Smell nice - natural deodorant 10. Smile 11. Organised 12. Good posture 13. Being on time 14. Communication style
I could not have articulated this better. I was brought up with these very same tips. I still remember my dad telling me as a young teenager that it doesn't matter what job you're applying for, whether it be for McDonalds to VP of sales etc, the reality is that first impressions are everything and you should always show up w/ your head up and dressed well. Ive remembered this everytime i've had a meeting or interview. I tell my kids the same thing!
Everything you said is so spot on! I just hope the people that need this actually watch your video. The most important thing is to just make an effort!
Steaming and ironing are essential, I do both, depending on the fabric of the garment. I wear lots of woven linen and cotton, and they need ironing to look good. Knits, silks and soft items like skirts and dresses usually are fine with just steaming. I’ve always had a full-size tank steamer. I also like an ironing board with a built-in sleeve board, it’s great for ironing cuffs and other details.
Especially as a mom of littles this is helpful because before, I just knew how to do it and put myself together but a comprehensive checklist makes it a no brainer, Thanks!
These are tips and I agree with all of them. Even when my legs aren’t seen I shave every day, because that stubble does something negative to my soul. I feel gross no matter how clean I am. Lol!
Thank you so much - just found you last night and your info is fabulous, Not superficial at all (but you know that) ! Looking forward to many many more. Thank you again.
This is so funny. I was just thinking about this today. I think the #1 way of looking put together is SHOES!!! Any shoe, sneaker, sandal, boots, flip flops I just ask, have them clean and not worn out and dirty. If you wear black leather shoes, make sure they are shined and the heels are not worn out. I could go on. Please look at your feet!
i loved this video! i dont know if u forgot to mention it or if you just dont use it but please, apply spf every single day! uv rays are extremely harmful to your skin, not protecting your skin can lead to skin cancer
Dr. John, what is this beautiful sweater and where can I get it? I would absolutely love this link please! Also, you don't have RBF at all. Your natural default face is positively stunning.💖
Tips from an older woman to preserve youthful beauty: Weigh once a week and increase exercise and eliminate extras like alcohol or dessert whenever you gain 2 lbs.; Wear sunscreen on all exposed skin every day; Wear only Polaroid sunglasses to protect your eyes and don’t overwear contact lenses; Keep moving, a walk daily is perfect!
Please don't assume all extra weight is related to lack of exercise and eating wrong. There are medical issues that make weight loss very difficult and it's a daily struggle.
That first tip is potentially very damaging! Obsessing over one's weight to the point of watching every lb is a recipe for an ED, or at least increased anxiety, not health nor youth.
This is good advice. People don’t realize how important weight maintenance is to lookjng put together. Keeping yourself fit really helps in looking put together. And if you are keeping your weight in check, you don’t have to worry too much about having to change your whole wardrobe due to an increase/decrease in size.
I started using an elilady on my underarms and legs. I was afraid to do my underarms, but after I did them (a little at a time), I not only found that most of it hasn't grown back, but I have almost no odor there anymore. Even though I shaved, I always had to use deodorant, but now I can skip days even in the summer heat. Go figure.

I trie so badly but I have a skin condition where Make up looks bad plus also my skin n the Arms etc is not good, since corona hair loss plus overweight because of cortisone😔 It is so frustrating. No matter how much time I spend I look bad
I had a doctor’s appointment. And my husband was rushing me. I can’t drive our truck, so he has to take me. We need another vehicle I can drive. But I totally forgot my moisturizer. I never leave my house without my moisturizer, that has sunscreen in it. And I forgot to use my flawless face shaver. I did shave my legs in the shower. I never wear makeup anymore. And I barely have any brows. I do look put together in my clothes. I never polish my finger or toe nails. I’m 62 and I just keep my nails the best I can. I have new front teeth, so I do smile more now. I need to go to the dentist. I just got an email telling me that.
Idk about the hydrogen peroxide 😂 it’s what we use to make my dog puke when they eat something bad lol and also people use it to clean blood 😂 I’m kinda nervous to but like a whole shot worth of the liquid in my mouth
There is actually two different size to look at that though because for me I'm like you I like to dress nice and look nice and I think it's important! But I also know that people can also perceive someone who dresses nice all the time as being too involved in the outward appearance! I myself feel like we should be comfortable no matter what dressing up nice or just you being in regular sweats and a t-shirt, as long as the things that you're wearing are clean when you first put them on 😆
In my experience, people who criticize others just for looking nice are insecure. There's a difference between looking well-groomed and pressed, and wearing thick makeup and false eyelashes to the grocery store in the morning. I personally don't want to look like I live in a hippy commune from the 70s, but I don't want to go overboard and wear a cocktail dress to run errands.
that doesn’t mean anything a LOT lf young people have yellow teeth. My teeth also got more yellow when i fell into depression and stopped maintenance and whitening. I’m only 17

Great video and you explained to look put together without spending lots very well.
You also look much more put together with a real hairstyle.

You so beautiful ❤
Thank you!!
Your teeth are white because you’re young! That changes with age, mine were dazzling white, too, at your age.
not mine😅 andd im 21
You can always whiten your teeth or use whitening toothpaste!
that doesn’t mean anything a LOT lf young people have yellow teeth. My teeth also got more yellow when i fell into depression and stopped maintenance and whitening. I’m only 17
You're one of the most angelic-looking people I've ever seen 🦢🤍💛💙
