Awesome; this was my go-to VHS rental from Fry's (Ralph's). Seeing it as an adult, I get teary-eyed when Phoebe gives her teddy to Frankenstein at the end lol. Never realized the pilot Dracula hits is Richie Aprile from Soprano's.
Thank you for doing this. This is my favorite movie. I saw it in the theater twice in 1987 at the Plaza Theatre on Lyons Ave five minutes from the Stevenson Ranch location of the treehouse. It took me decades to realize it was that close to me but I always rode my bike through the streets and thought the trees sure did seem similar. Thank you so much for this detailed location scout. You are truly in the GD club!
Man we really appreciate the legwork you do for these videos Everyone always wants to know where movies are filmed and hope they look the same. Everything changes Thank you for the content!
Happy Halloween everyone! Halloween is my favorite holiday. My grandpa lived a few doors down from the police station, which he used to be an officer. He had a huge house by the lake and would dress the house up every year for Halloween. Many many years later, my grandparents lost their house due to house loan that was really bad, while going through the house for them, found a bunch of old candy from the 80s in a back passage way leading to the upstairs. Some of it was still good lol.
@@workedfortheciawhenisoldrock My grandpa also dressed up as the Mall Santa as well. He was a very well known member of the community and owned an auto shop. He helped take care of families that didnt have alot of money to make sure their vehicles were on the road. Used to be a police officer prior to being a mechanic. He was a great guy.
The Wolfman has nards! Great video, thank you , this movie was great, and the T & C surf shirt still looks so good. I do remember the NES T & C game. Skateboard part was fun butI could never stop from eating crap when it was the Gorilla surfing.
Awesome video and Awesome job. 😎One of my favorites and like you said very underrated movie. Makes me very sad that they are ripping down all those iconic houses and sets. Shame on them. They should have kept it as a historical place. Keep up the good job my friend. Your videos bring a smile to my face every time. Thank you for all the work and time you put in to them.
Nice one kurt. I was hoping that you'd get around to doing the filming locations for the monster squad. It's One of my favourite movies from childhood. Every Friday for about two or three years my mum get me this from the video rental store. I never tire of watching it.🎃🙌
I remember those '80s fashions because I wore them. The acid washed jeans and Reebok Classics. That one kid wearing loafers is based on a James Dean photo where he has loafers on. I think Elvis Presley and other stars wore them too, and they were cool in the 1950s. By the '80s, though, only preppy dorks wore them. I didn't see this movie until I was an adult, but I rented it one night and found it entertaining. Some people absolutely adore it, and think it's better than Citizen Kane.
The best thing about this video is that Dyno. Holy cow! What a treasure. And I'm not dissing the video. I love Monster Squad. But, that bike is amazing!
Thanks for this, how in the world did you find the alleys they walked down.. one of my all time favs from the 80s. I like the rad music you use during the end montage. Mike Seavers house from growing pains is also on the movie lot at the end, they joke about it on the DVD commentary.
WHOA!!! You got Sean!!!! Holy moly!! Monster squad is Eataly in my top 10 and depending on what kind of mood I’m in it might be in my top five. I just picked up on DVD for like eight dollars to watch over Halloween weekend with my kids but they want to watch the stupid five nights at Freddy movie instead, so I’m gonna make them watch it this coming weekend. And then I’m gonna make them watch this video
Underrated? I'm typing this as I started watching so you might answer my question in the video lol. But did it not do well at the box office? Oh and before I go we learned Wolfmen have nards 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😊
Thx for nice video from this nice movie. Maybe You will find locations in Miami from great movie "Band of the hand" 1988 ? with Stephen Lang, Lauren Holly, James Remar, R.I.P. Michael Carmine and Danny Quinn. Sub flyes. Cheers.
Shame on Warner Brothers for destroying history for yet another studio. Monster Squad was a great 80s flick. I saw it with my brother and my sister at General Cinema that year.
It’s never really mentioned in the movie where it’s supposed to take place and if they did I can’t really remember , I always imagined that it must have been taking place like outside of Chicago or Detroit mostly due to the dads New Yorkish Accent, but it’s cool to know that it was filmed in the outskirts of Los Angeles and Santa Monica
It’s amazing the things you see when watching old movies. At 13:45, that grill is an early Weber grill from the 50s or early 60s. Back when this movie was filmed it was just an old grill that became a movie prop, but today, that’s a collectors item with a value in the hundreds! There’s such a thing as Weber Kettle clubs around the world and at first glimpse I knew what that was.
I adore that film. Absolutely brilliant
Gotta love them 80s!!💯👍thanks, BOO!
This was a awesome when I was a kid. For the fun of it I watched it recently and it still holds up.
Ah, one of my favorite movies and on Halloween, perfect!
SO cool you got Andre Gower to appear in this 👍 Keep up the good work 🤘
Awesome; this was my go-to VHS rental from Fry's (Ralph's). Seeing it as an adult, I get teary-eyed when Phoebe gives her teddy to Frankenstein at the end lol. Never realized the pilot Dracula hits is Richie Aprile from Soprano's.
I wish I kept all the T&C t-shirts my brother and I had. They had the coolest graphic art of the decade.
Thank you for doing this. This is my favorite movie. I saw it in the theater twice in 1987 at the Plaza Theatre on Lyons Ave five minutes from the Stevenson Ranch location of the treehouse. Awesome movie ! Thanks 💨💨✌🏽
Great work again Kurt. Love your bmx too
Ah man, I loved that movie as a kid! Looking forward to this.. :)
I grew up in the 1980’s but never heard of this movie.I must watch.
You missed out my friend. Check it out its awesome. It's like a Halloween version of The Goonies and you know how much us 80's kids loved that movie.
I rented this multiple times on VHS. Own the DVD Blu ray and now 4k!
This film was huge among kids here in Brazil since aired on tv in the begining of the 90's.
PS: Jason Harvey from The Wonder Years as a bully....
Ok, I had to pause this, go watch the movie (because I hadn't seen it since it came out in theaters) and come back.
Man, How I miss the 1980s & 1990s… Growing up In those two eras you are blessed… Nostalgia! O how I love the feeling!!
Agree 100%. My wife always asks why do you only watch movies and hear music from the 80s and 90s? Lol...nostalgia!!!
Happy Halloween everyone! Halloween is my favorite holiday. My grandpa lived a few doors down from the police station, which he used to be an officer. Love your videos buddy. Awesome job.
Man you nailed it again! I really loved the T&C surf and gotcha shirt! Also he was carrying a vision street ghost skateboard which was super rad!

Thank you Kurt, I’ve waited for it, and you crushed it
I really need to re-watch it again it's been way to long. Great job Kurt 👏

Just watched it this morning
I am surprised the video doesn't mention that is the same church from the Lost Boys, that they get holy water from
My favorite scene was when the kid and his dad were sitting on the roof watching the drive in movie and eating Burger King.
One of my favourite films watched it lots when I was younger have it on Blu-ray
Super-cool video, Kurt! Probably an unpopular opinion, but I've always thought The Monster Squad is way better than The Goonies.
Favourite line from the is film “do you know any virgins”.
The best thing about this video is that Dyno. Holy cow! What a treasure. And I'm not dissing the video. I love Monster Squad. But, that bike is amazing!
Such a cool movie. One of the first movies written by Shane Black
You got the Dyno's forks turned around! Nice!
I am in mourning of the Warner Ranch
Really enjoyed the video

Hey bring back the 80s. John Brown from Pittsburgh Pennsylvania
On Rudy's shoes, I remember Sperrys Topsiders were big around 83-84ish.. even loafers and argyle stuff
Loved this movie
Love those surf shirts I was in Jr high in the late 80s
Underrated? I'm typing this as I started watching so you might answer my question in the video lol. But did it not do well at the box office? Oh and before I go we learned Wolfmen have nards 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😊
I saw this movie like 4 years ago, I'm surprised I didn't know about it when I was a kid
Monster Squad is just the best. It was Goonies for the adults. Probably the baddest and most merciless portrayal of Dracula in a film.
Thx for nice video from this nice movie. Maybe You will find locations in Miami from great movie "Band of the hand" 1988 ? with Stephen Lang, Lauren Holly, James Remar, R.I.P. Michael Carmine and Danny Quinn. Sub flyes. Cheers.
A friend of mine was in this movie. He played Eugen.
Happy Halloween
Yesssssss!
Monster Squad was low key scary back in the dayz.
Here are 2 movies: Moving 1988 and Gung Ho 1986. Amazing locations I'd love to see in 2023!
Shame on Warner Brothers for destroying history for yet another studio. Monster Squad was a great 80s flick. I saw it with my brother and my sister at General Cinema that year.
Nice !!! 🎃🎃🎃
I love how all the elementary schools in the LA area looked the same
Massive fanboy of the Goonies non stop but it is nice to see the locations that still exist
Yes!! 🎃🎃
Shame they ripped all those sets apart movie history gone!
FAB vid 👍
Go ..Monster Squad!

“That's why Sean and the guys call her Meow Mix, 'cause her head's shaped like a cat head. But I don't, sir, 'cause how rude.” -Patrick Rhodes
Kurt I have those same shoes. What are you trying to say?
the town square was the one from gremlins without the snow
No, the one in Gremlins is the same as Back to the Future. Similar, though. I have a Gremlins video, too.
Kick him in the nards what wolfman don't got nards, Wolfman gots nards. 🤣🤣
The tree is still there?
The 4K comes out in a month!
18:11 Growing Pains house 👀
why did the demo the whole ranch????
They use that gas station on so many shows
Scary German guy
my goAT
Cheers Kurt!
T and c surf design!
Rudy was cool
I saw it and was entertained. I don't remember all of it. I remember the girl using girl logic and the spell not working.
Yep unrated just like: LITTLE MONSTERS with fred savage and LICENSE TO DRIVE
One of my old favorites, I never hear it mentioned in any context, good one 👍
Warner Brothers studio is not big fan of movie history locations not really
HATE hearing GD!!!! So horrible to say that.
I agree
