I can testify to the excellent customer service. I cracked my dew shield while taking it off to add a nebula filter. I contacted Celestron asking if I could purchase a replacement and what it cost. Celestron responded within a few hour saying they were sending me a new dew shield for FREE! I didn’t even ask for that. They just did it. I had a new dew shield within a few days. Thank you Celestron!
Ive done more observing with my Origin by far than I ever did with my C11 setup. Just so quick to get rolling. On top of that , sensation is slowly returning to my extremities after years of Northern Quebec winter observing… I was curious about the QA tape when I first opened it. Now, I know. Glad this video was produced. Thanks!
I was/am very impressed with the quality and images from my Origin! I now know why, Celestron is quality committed! Great video and thanks for posting it!
Thank you for this video. You're correct, most Mfr's do 0 quality assurance after the initial run, leaving the customer to find / fix the problem(s). This product line has enormous potential for the serious - professional astronomer once Celestron decides to move to a larger format.
I recently bought the starsence explorer 130 and I’m enjoying it thinking about making a vid for friends to get on board as well, also heard that they make binoculars and I’m thinking about getting one, to see if they are worth it.
Any chance that Celestron could make a “Cold Climate” version of the Origin that would operate at temperatures lower than -5C? Routinely we are at -20C and more in Edmonton, Alberta during the winter months when we are also blessed with almost endless nights.
A couple of questions, do the f/10 Edge HD 8, 9.25, 11, and 14 get a similar level of QA? Would it be possible to produce an f/5 - f/7 version of the Edge HDs, so still very good for lunar and planetary, but fast enough for nebulae and a generous field of view? Less glass than a focal-reduced f/10, no diffraction spikes from the front-mounted camera, the ability to still visually observe - just an all around great performer? Self-leveling and automatic polar alignment, lightweight harmonic mount, dew heater and autofocusser, etc. like the Origin.
Why were not all of your employees using gloves when touching a product? It would certainly be much better if you didn’t open a package and didn’t put your fingerprints on it!

Impressive! This is what consumers want, quality assurance.

Outstanding information and work! Records of every unit since 2009! Wow! That's "assurance". Thank you!
Nicely done and very reassuring.
Best telescope from celestron.
Thank you for sharing!

Great stuff been a celestron over since 1977, 😊
Amazing. I have a nexstar gps 11 and looking into jumping on an origin soon.

Nice Wedge... "want"....
Yeah, I noticed that too. I hope the wedge functionality is released soon.
Did I miss the memo when QC processes were changed to QA processes?
