... the confidence that Jennifer gained with Ruth's help. It was heartwarming to watch her genuine gratitude and love for Ruth..beaming, with eyes smiling as soon as she saw her. Jennifer truly blossomed. Good on Nigel for relinquishing his archaic idea of having to control everything. I could see it wasn't easy for him, but he found out that his wife was deserving of not only his trust, but his respect. Lovely story. ❤️🤗🕊️

“When Nigel Wally and his second wife Jennifer…” - unless he has two wives at the same time I’m struggling to understand why that bit of info was necessary.. haha..
Looking around this house transports me to paradise! So so beautiful. Nice family. However, an immense property like this, they should have had foresight and KNOWN us would be a constant fortune keeping this property safe, decorated and well-maintained. Old building with old roof’s and old plumbing with no insulation. What a millstone. I’m happy in my 3 up and two down with moderate gardens. Plus at 77 I’m looking to downsize.
@@patcardiff2563 she is in her 70s now and kind of retired I miss her so much as the hotel inspector Alex is not the same, I just don’t think TV has her in mind anymore for any new shows, I would love here to return as the hotel inspector for a special.
Seems like Adrian is just trying to make ends meet and then is taking double criticism from both women in this conversation. I can't blame him for shutting down and not wanting to participate anymore. Ruth seems to have a great deal of business acumen but she has a double standard when it comes to the women she works with. The women are equal or they aren't, which is it. Bless Adrian.
I have'nt watched it all through yet but I am surprised that it hasn't been mention already that this, surely, must be a protected building simply because of the architectural values alone.
Arts and Crafts period and Edwardian is my favourite. Always do beautiful and practical design. I've always dreamed of an Arts and Crafts house. Still a dream at 76. Hope it all turns out fir them. An ordinary (with respect) couple who have an opportunity. Good Luck 🤞🍀🍀🍀🙏🏻
A charming couple. I hope they get out of the mire. I have very small scale mire but the effect is the same when you have nothing. The difference is I've nothing to sell! However their headache is immense and they're so caring. Fingers crossed. 🤞🍀
Nigel is really a lazy toff. His wife is the capable one. She's stopped being his token and taken a stance. Good for her. He just sits there paying lip service. He's far too laid back. He's tired with stiff joints is he? Good! I wish success for her especially!
❤❤😮This is my dream, a beautiful house for my family, my mother, a gift, I adore the inner green, comes a sophisticated arrangement from Napoleon, a good part of Chase, refined with so much care. ❤
My goodness this property is a dream just four thousand for a wedding now wonder they are in good business Chateaus in France not half as nice as this beautiful building charge thirty and forty thousand per wedding
Surprising, the service employees also don’t put their brains to good use! Seems like owner has given up with his son’s death and his wife is struggling with knowing what to do.

A wonderful Apartment Renovation that should be for sale for at least $1,500,000 to gain three units value at sale... and the renovation with only minimal profit, at least. think greedy to stay ahead, these days, when the Bank has you over a barrel, especially.
I feel sorry for Adrian, he's burning the candle at both ends. They need the income he's bringing but it means their dream is dying. I think he's worn out
What’s hilarious is that this is supposed to be the upper classes. Yet if you look at their cash to debt ratio they are poorer than a majority of people 😂
It's called inherited debt. Most of their ancestors may have been considered upper class in their time, but with each generation more debt had occurred.
That's happened for generations. These manors could only be run profitability up to WWI. Many factors at play. Many married American heiresses as a last resort.
Tractoring is his way of avoiding EVERYTHING, he should not be married, nor have kids, he should only just tractor and the wife can do much better with someone who wants to face life not drive away from it.
Sixteen hour workdays, paying the bills, taking care of his family and he is having his masculinity and ability to provide attacked. That is why he is defensive and depressed looking, Overwhelmed.
Nigel seems to be sort of a sour grumpy lazy sort, I would hate to be waking up with that... especially since Nigel put them in the mess to begin with-- life partners are supposed to be there for the long run... LAXVESPA-LOSANGELES
No, the old crinklies need to be either kicked out or packed off to the basement or something. They aren't paying their way. They need to get in some younger ones who will pay lots of big service charges and turn a profit.
Would be good BUT I couldn't blame at all, the host. She is brilliant. The couple are at fault (as they are and full of upper crust arrogance). Mine would be a comedy drama and these two looking dimmer and more idiotic as it goes along. The end would be host OWNING the house and succesful. Those 2 end up as gardener and a scullery maid.

Right.
I thought the same, but maybe it was to make clear he had another family before her and that accounts for him losing a son, but not her.
I can see why they bought this house. It is truly magnificient.

They are laid back because they have the money to repay the debt. They may not want to use it but it’s in an account somewhere.
excuse me I pay premium to NOT be subject to ads and yet here I am bombarded by ads? wtf?

You can pay US dollars for renovations in England? How odd. I'd think they'd want to be paid in pounds.

I think not, they really need his income.
I wondered myself about that never home nights. They needed marriage counseling that program was mainly exactly that.
So they have organized a charity event to help animals, but at the same time they serve the bodies of dead animals? Cognitive Dissonance at its best.
