    I love that this painting brought this guy happiness in the name of his departed husband, who he's obviously still grieving for. 💙

      I thought it should be \lick-ten Sht-eye-n. I was always taught "The second of the two, gives us the clue" so 'ei' is pronounced 'eye' and 'ie' is prounounce 'ee'

    • @andreamaskan9415
      @andreamaskan9415 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@cornbeef You are right: in German, 'ei' is pronounced 'eye' and 'ie' corresponds to 'ee', but 'lich' is not at all pronounced like 'lick'. 'ch' after 'i' in German is a very special sound. For an English speaker, trying to pronounce the name correctly, 'Leesh-ten-shteyn' would probably be as close as s/he would get.

      Yes, welcome to 2020 and reality. Homosexuality has been as common as heterosexuality all throughout history, in every corner of the earth. Crying sodomy is the oldest jab in the book. Jesus walked with everyone, and judged no one. Humans don't seem to be capable of the same. Fake Christians are everywhere.

      Generally modern art is "Garbage" in that it's the kind of "Art" that anyone can do. Unlike something like a realistic marble statue of an actual person, where you can plainly see the "Art". It is a manufactured value, rather than a value based on the fact that other artists of that same type cannot create it . In reality it goes like this. A native could live on a beach where gold washes between his toes all day long. It's only until a sailor from another continent comes and picks it up, that makes it become valuable.
