@@emo-nordegraf hahahaha Yeah no, they would, as long as no evidence tracing back to them existed... They would, and evidence of that is their artists and writers for the anime and games.
They are "Mega evolution" (accelerated evolution/future form) and "Primial Reversion" (a return to the creatures' 'Prime'). Probably won't be called Mega/Primal anymore, but it's definitely the same idea. Would be nice to see the gimmick revisited, but I doubt we'll get to.
Im thinking that Mega evolution wont be a thing but that you can re-evolve your pokemon to future or past forms like a Decidueye transforming into its hisuian evolution going from grass ghost to grass fighitng which is 3 types in total
My current theory is that the gimmick will be a time crystal, allowing certain pokemon to maintain a past/current/future form either once per battle, or to just change the mon entirely. Hisuian pokemon especially make me feel that since it wouldn't make sense to see them natively as they'd evolved to the modern forms, but the only mons transferable into scar/vio are ones found in the games like sw/sh, meaning they have to be accessible within the game. It also ties into the idea of "3": not types per se, but access to 3 time periods of forms (past, present, future). You could even change megas to this gimmick. Make charizard x his future form and charizard y his past form. Aerodactyl mega could be past and could maybe have like a steel type future form. Future blastoise could be the Current mega, and past form could have a more rocky shell/canons and be water/rock type. Seems like a fun way to repurpose what megas were, while also making them more balanced as it'd basically just be a swap between regional forms on the fly. Like imagine you have a normal sneasel and the opponent sends in a rock/steel type. You could use the time Crystal to revert sneasel into the past hisuian form and suddenly you have the advantage instead with a poison fighting type. The only issue with this is that it'd be difficult to really differentiate past/future forms with just regional variants, that's the only thing that makes me doubt this idea.

"3 Types" just refers to present, past, and future types ('type' not as in 'element', but as in 'version'). it is mega-like because the past form and future form will be powerups. the clue "they will look different on the boxes but you've only seen one" means koraidon and miraidon look different to eachother, but it's actually past and future forms of the same pokemon, and there are other similar pokemon we haven't seen yet. also, the spiked crystal in the japanese logo will work just like a mega stone but for the "time" forms instead.
yeah no, the latter half of this stuff (the part about korai and mirai) is disproven by the five forms clue. korai and mirai could be the same pokemon, but that's absolutely not what that hint meant, it was referring to vehicle forms
4:20 I like this idea, about how Koraidon and Miraidon could be the ride Pokémon, but I feel like it would only work if they were like Mew in Insurgence, and they helped you out when you need them, instead of staying with you or on the party
My theory is that you’ll meet the game’s legendary early in the story and you’ll get some kinda item (like the flute in oras) to call them for certain ride abilities, ofc the better ride abilities should be left till later in the game but that’s what I hope for at least
I think what Khu means by 3 types is that the gimmick will be those stones we've seen, and you use them on certain pokemon in the game during battle (like a mega evolution) and depending on whether you have Scarlet or Violet, they'll transform into an ancient or future version of that pokemon. So there might be the pokemon we're used to, and then two different forms based on past and present (3 types of the same pokemon).
I don’t know if anyone has said this yet but I still think the three types means three types of gimmicks. Just like the anime you can use one of the gimmicks being mega, dynamax, or z move per battle .
dynamax is too broken to even be in the same class as the others. being able to reduce ur opponents stats or boost both ur pokemons with a super powerful move. or change the weather, or set up terrain.
Coming back to these videos after SV are out is a fun time. I can see how terastalyzing is similar to megas, makes your pokemon stronger, changes their appearance and changes the dynamics of the battle by changing the type!
Maybe, past and future is the new gimmick that khu said. His riddles mentioned aparently three types but if this three types are three forms, past, future and normal/present. In scarlet pokemon have past form and in violet that have future form. They can work in both games, but the activation item is present only in the corresponding edition.
Honestly I think the next gimmick will be a color change with a bit of an aura effect. Super inexpensive form change. This color change comes from selecting a Move like Z-Moves, and if redundant with an existing type Boosts it even more. This will change the type and provide Max Move effect once. Specific pokemon get special forms and triggers beyond this. I think the 5 forms could be that they share a modern form, so two primal and two streamlined.
I think you’re on to something as to how each legendary will travel the terrain. With your swimming example with the webbed hands. The other could go over the water similar to a hover craft. Then for flying, one has feathers/wings while the other have a jet engine.
What if we are all wrong and its not 3 typing, but 3 forms? Here me out! This game is all about the past and present it seems, so what If the gimmick is changing their forms through some kind of time stone? It's a stretch, but also makes perfect sense with what little information we have so far. It could also help us understand further how their could 5 different forms for the legendaries, sort of like an evolution chain, and it is revealed that the two legends are the same pokemon, but from a different time, and the other 3 forms are the more defined evolutionary process they took. Plus it could explain the cow theory as well, where tauros was more menacing in the past, or how milktank evolved over time to become stronger. It would also make sense in the context of legends of arceus game being the most recent game. Why would they drop many cool, unique pokemon from evolution for one game alone? If I am right, I am happy. If Im wrong, I hope they have something better in mind :)
I think the three types is literally going to be Past/Present/Future forms. These will be for specific Pokémon. Typing would change for each form and while stats would remain the same the distribution would be different. I also think these forms should access different abilities. In competitive this would be nice because you’re essentially bringing 8 Pokémon to battle. Also, it would be really cool that on these Pokémon that can access these forms, you would have 3 main moves and then the 4th move is determined by the form. For example, let’s say Typhlosion had present form(fire type), past form (fire/ghost), and future form(fire/normal). His three base moves may be: protect, will o wisp, flamethrower. In past form his 4th move is infernal parade. Present its eruption. And future is Extreme speed.
If this new gimmick is like Megas in the sense that certain Pokemon might get new forms, then my theory is that it will incorporate the past/future theme we see in Scarlet and Violet. Basically what I mean is that using these strange crystals we see on the Japanese logos in the games, some Pokemon could to either forwards or backwards through time (depending on which game you're playing) to turn into either a prehistoric or futuristic form with all new typings and abilities. Think of an elephant turning either into a mammoth or into whatever it may evolve into in the future.
Maybe the gimmick ties into the time theme the games seemingly have, like a mechanic similar to mega evolution, but it transforms the Pokémon into their future or past version for the rest of battle. Very similar to mega evolution, but with the games theme combined with it
I think I know what the 3 type means. Since he didn’t deny megas. I could be that all 3 gimmicks are returning. Megas, zmoves, and dynamax. Kind of like in the anime right now. All 3 can be used.
I think the 3 forms will essentially be Past, Present and Future forms. Only select Mons will have the form changes, like Megas. They'll be activatable during battle, like Megas. Past forms will be an ancient version of that Mon, Present forms will be the current species, and Future forms will be modern or technical takes on the current species. They *could* even make the Past forms only usable on Scarlet with a version exclusive item, and the Future forms only available on Violet with a version exclusive item. To back this up, people keep talking about Koraidon and Miraidon as being "different" versions of eachother, maybe the 3rd legendary is the "current" present version of the -raidon species.
It would be interesting if triple battles returned and the "3 type" thing was actually a 3 type team move used by Pokemon. Hoenn was originally supposed to get that with double battles and team moves -- where you could pair moves together. Since there has been all this talk of possibly having 3 starters (which I still doubt) and your rival having 3 Pokemon early on (Smoliv, Pawmi, and Lechonk), it would be something that could be shown early game and serve as a gimmick. Again, I really doubt it and just want megas, but I could see it being something I wasn't expecting that shows up.
I think there is a pattern Gen 6 - Forms with increased stats Gen 7 - Moves with increased attack for Gen 8 - Forms with increased stat with effects for moves. Gen 9 - Moves. Just like Z crystal we might able to change the tying of the moves... Fire type Blast burn attack doing Ice type damage or electric type damage. If we equip fire crystal, we have option choose what type of damage does fire moves do to the opponent
I really hope Terastalization in DLC will be expanded to smth like this: Venusaur can terastalize, but if it has Ice Tera Type... it won't be standard Terastalization, but will change pokemon (kinda like type swap) hiding crown on top, still visible, but u could easily miss it (Kinda like UltraSun UltraMoon expanded Z-moves from just types to also Specific Pokemon Signatures
I think the 3 types could mean 3 different forms of pokemon, 1 being their normal form, another being their ancient form, and the 3rd being their futuristic form. So maybe not exactly mega evolution, so much as it is a transformation to one of the two other forms in some way. Makes some sense especially since we just got Legends Arceus where certain mons have ancient forms, and since this game seems to heavily imply time shenanigans. Also I feel like this would be cool if true, because then we'd still get the cool changing mechanics of mega evolution - i.e. form, type, stat, and ability changes - without the pokemon becoming to OP. Which would lend better balance to using the gimmick in competitive.
I think the 3三 gimmick is something related Past Present Future, with some correlation with Megas some form/thing maybe, or even not like a mega or z move but kinda resemble both of it. ie: like Primordial (past timeline) mega, Normal (present timeline) mega, Neo (future timeline) mega. Or a mega/z move that turn the mon in past/present/future form to unleash the move. Just to kinda draw a picture of what I meant. Thats my 5 cents, since the theme of game seems really heavily focused on time.
6:45 In Masters, people call other outfits like Sygna Suits ‘alts’ or ‘alternates’. I doubt it’ll tease both a new regional form and a legend. Kommo-o and Koraidon already have that same ancient vibe. Eg. “Cynthia’s alt with Kommo-o or Giratina”. Wouldn’t be the first time a Cynthia alt foreshadowed something big (she had Giratina a month before Volo) My interpretation of the mega stuff is that it’ll be like a fusion of regional forms and megas. You do something, and somehow the Pokémon gets an ancient reversion or technological evolution
Man, I paused to read that screenshot at 1:05 and got SO hyped cause it seemed like you were presenting it as legit at first... this is why you let the man finish talking before getting over-excited lol. Basically gaslighting myself out here.
11:40 that actually reminds me of ultra necrozma and how you can get it by giving it the exclusive z crystal in the gen 7 remakes except the fact that the typing doesn’t really change iirc
I think what he means by new concept of megas is either time related evolutions (which is why there are hisuian zoroark in the game as an example and we can get new ones from other "long ago" regions, eg hoenn), OR because the new gimmick is a set of items that "enhance" certain pokemon - imagine items like Genesect or Silvally's drives, but rather than just changing type for 1 particular pokemon they add new features or types to a set of pokemon like how megas added new forms, typings, and abilities for a set of pokemon.
this kinda reminds me of dragon quest monsters joker. in that, part way into the story, you encounter a monster, the incarnus, who is central to the main story, and you gain it as a party member. as the story progresses, it changes forms (between a wolf, a phoenix, a baboon, and a dragon, each form has an upgraded form, but aside from the wolf, the others don't get seen in the story, and it also has a dark form that you see in the later half of the story, because reasons) as it gains power, from various shrines on different islands. there is only 1 in the game, making it akin to a legendary pokemon. i feel that the legends, from the description given, could have this relationship with the player.
Maybe the 3 type gimmick works with the move hidden power and so it’s like a z move where you use the crystal thing to use a z power type move exclusively for hidden power and then it adds to your typing or swaps the secondary typing depending on what type hidden power is.
5:30 I think instead if of just giving you the legend near the start, you somehow come into possession of something that you think of as a rotom bike/ride pager, but it turned out to be the legend all along
with the 3 type gimmick maybe instead of 3 typings itll just be 3 types of the same pokemon, "future type" stronger with and against special type moves, "past type" stronger with and against physical moves and "neutral type" which is just the original evo, so yeah itd be similar to megas except it specs a pokemon into certain move types. just spitballin im a goof edit: just finishing the video and he basically talks about it at like 11:00
There are 5 forms, whats your fave? “The one that sniffs the ground” 4:29 My sis and I played sword, we caught a sinsistea… we did the npc trainer trade, afterwards I look up info about this mon. Found out we traded an authentic away. 😭 we did… mostly I did, catch another authentic to replace it.
2:31 Cogita is implied to be the immortal writer of the Old Verses so it’s possible She might have been implying that her time would end once the chosen one (Rei/Akari) appears tho. But judging from how she said Enamorus would leave you so ominously, I think otherwise. She might tease something (Hello! I’m Gita, from the His….sinnoh region) but she won’t be too important. Saying she’ll appear is overconfident anyway, and an easy way to overhype expectations
if the color thing with like subtracting colors and adding colors maybe the gimmick/gimmick of legendary is to subtract or add types to a pokemon (if the hint wasn't just riding legendaries because the legends names have Raidon at the end)
A month ago with the color riddle, there are technically 5 different forms displayed; 2 different forms of fusing legendaries, mega evolution, primal reversion, and whatever Lugia is(maybe referring to shadow Lugia?)
For me the gimmicks will be the changing of second typing of the pokemon.. it will be like mega evolution (temporary) and look like regional variant because of the second typing changed by using that certain gem..
Idk im just spitballing here, maybe we get a mystery pokemon or egg from the professors which is not from our time, we hatch it, we get the 1st form of koraidon/miraidon (kinda like cosmog to cosmoem to solagaleo/lunala). We have 4 pre evos? Pre forms? Idk what to call it. During the game we collect artifacts? (which are the 4 symbols in the corners on the title). Each artifact or relic unlocks or evolves the mystery mon into a new form (new vehicle unlock) and during the climax we finally get the actual miraidon/koraidon form to defeat the big bad of the story. Idk, maybe. Kinda makes sense in my head
Might want to think about the starters I mean 3 type maybe there's 3 evo lines for them or something -Sprigatito to puss in boots, iberian lynx or a bipedal cleric -Fuacoco going full ghost pepper, fairy with the final evo leak or go with the constellation theory and become a snake -Quaxly become a sailer, pirate or a bull fighter
The gimmick is called crystalization. For a set amount of time in battle your pokemon will be given a crystal form/type. Your pokemon will have 0 weaknesses while the crystalization form lasts. Check out the pokemon trading card game for details. Also RF is Radiant Form. Also check the card game for details.
I think the gimmick is related to either "abilities" or "Types". We already had some evolution gimmick "Megas", tranformation gimmick "gigantamax" and a move gimmick "z moves".
going back to the 3-type gimmick thing being like megas I think as much as people don't want it the armor evolution idea keeps popping into my mind especially if we go to the legendary having 5 forms and typically the legendries are tied in some way to the gimmicks of the region. So my theory is that the gimmick stone, we all know it'll be one, will when activated give the mon in question an armored form that will have the type of the last move used on it added so as to gain immunity/resistance to it. But like mega's it'll be a one time use thing so once used until the battle is over it'll be stuck as that 3-type combo.
Yeah some similar ideas are floating around but I had been thinking the other day that maybe we’re talking about a gimmick that allows evolution based on future/past: like when they evolve future style they’d go full cyberpunk makeover. And if it’s past eve they go full Jurassic park and we see what our mons looked like next to kabutops and the rest of the lads.
For the Titan leak, I don't think it will be too much into it since Dynamax and Gigantamax is basically Pokemon in titan's form. I would love to see a armor evolution or armored up gimmick.
i think it will be like a primal reversion/ future evolution kind of thing using the same kinda mechanics of megas, the 3 being past form present form future form
Ttar, at One of your most recent vídeo of teories, you talked about the p"roto" and "neo" forma, and that could be the gimmick. At that time i didn't realizem that, but If Theresa a pokémon that can revert to a proto Form, or evolve(the real One, not pokémon One) into a neo form, you,ll have 1 pokémon with 3 forms, and some type variantion along these 3, maybe it's the 3 hint of Khu
maybe it's similar to the origin forms from ORAS' legends, except depending on the version some regular pokemon will get origin forms and futuristic forms, (like a few select could mega evolve) maybe using the new star logo? what do you guys think?? so in total some pokemon will have 3 forms, origin, current and futuristic.
i think mega's and dynamax should be in this simply due to the proximity of this new region to both galar and kalos, in fact this could very well be the region that kalos was fighting against in their war. my theory is that the blast from azs weapon somehow awoke eternatus at the same time mega evolution was created. it would make sense to have these 2 gimmicks but not z-moves as that is basically on the other side of the world. i personally think this games gimmick will be time crystal that allows you to change a pokemon to their past/future form based on which game you are playing.

Shaktiman you fast as hell boi
thanks
lmfao
I think there is a pattern
Gen 6 - Forms with increased stats
Gen 7 - Moves with increased attack for
Gen 8 - Forms with increased stat with effects for moves.
Gen 9 - Moves. Just like Z crystal we might able to change the tying of the moves... Fire type Blast burn attack doing Ice type damage or electric type damage.
If we equip fire crystal, we have option choose what type of damage does fire moves do to the opponent
They turned a HM slave into a legendary pokemon incredible
It’s a beautiful day in the neighborhood when Ttar posts
Aw man... for a single second I thought we would finally see the "Dragoniteite"...
Absolutely appreciate your videos covering Khu man.
Dude amazing content and video keep it going
bro I cannot fall asleep and just got this notification
I really hope
Terastalization in DLC will be expanded to smth like this:
Venusaur can terastalize, but if it has Ice Tera Type... it won't be standard Terastalization, but will change pokemon (kinda like type swap) hiding crown on top, still visible, but u could easily miss it
(Kinda like UltraSun UltraMoon expanded Z-moves from just types to also Specific Pokemon Signatures
If they bring back Mega’s in some form ima lose my shit!!! 😂💯
Wouldn’t be the first time a Cynthia alt foreshadowed something big (she had Giratina a month before Volo)
My interpretation of the mega stuff is that it’ll be like a fusion of regional forms and megas. You do something, and somehow the Pokémon gets an ancient reversion or technological evolution
Man, I paused to read that screenshot at 1:05 and got SO hyped cause it seemed like you were presenting it as legit at first... this is why you let the man finish talking before getting over-excited lol. Basically gaslighting myself out here.
nobody will see that message but you’re on the way to understand Ttar, good job.
11:40 that actually reminds me of ultra necrozma and how you can get it by giving it the exclusive z crystal in the gen 7 remakes
except the fact that the typing doesn’t really change iirc
ttar it feels like a time form for the new game gimmicks like if you get violet you get future forms and if you get scarlet you get past forms
Your theories are the best man 😭
7:41 Long before time had a name, the first Spinjitzu master created Ninjago.
I think what he means by new concept of megas is either time related evolutions (which is why there are hisuian zoroark in the game as an example and we can get new ones from other "long ago" regions, eg hoenn), OR because the new gimmick is a set of items that "enhance" certain pokemon - imagine items like Genesect or Silvally's drives, but rather than just changing type for 1 particular pokemon they add new features or types to a set of pokemon like how megas added new forms, typings, and abilities for a set of pokemon.
i can listen to this man all day
this kinda reminds me of dragon quest monsters joker. in that, part way into the story, you encounter a monster, the incarnus, who is central to the main story, and you gain it as a party member. as the story progresses, it changes forms (between a wolf, a phoenix, a baboon, and a dragon, each form has an upgraded form, but aside from the wolf, the others don't get seen in the story, and it also has a dark form that you see in the later half of the story, because reasons) as it gains power, from various shrines on different islands. there is only 1 in the game, making it akin to a legendary pokemon. i feel that the legends, from the description given, could have this relationship with the player.
Maybe the 3 type gimmick works with the move hidden power and so it’s like a z move where you use the crystal thing to use a z power type move exclusively for hidden power and then it adds to your typing or swaps the secondary typing depending on what type hidden power is.
5:30 I think instead if of just giving you the legend near the start, you somehow come into possession of something that you think of as a rotom bike/ride pager, but it turned out to be the legend all along
with the 3 type gimmick maybe instead of 3 typings itll just be 3 types of the same pokemon, "future type" stronger with and against special type moves, "past type" stronger with and against physical moves and "neutral type" which is just the original evo, so yeah itd be similar to megas except it specs a pokemon into certain move types.
just spitballin im a goof
edit: just finishing the video and he basically talks about it at like 11:00
new theory, Riddler Khu is Masuda in disguise raising hype for his own game
Gimmieghoul was hinted in the coin riddle. Interesting
There are 5 forms, whats your fave?
“The one that sniffs the ground” 4:29
My sis and I played sword, we caught a sinsistea… we did the npc trainer trade, afterwards I look up info about this mon. Found out we traded an authentic away. 😭 we did… mostly I did, catch another authentic to replace it.
I think the legendaries being rideable is like the Eon flute. The legendaries are your buds and you can summon them for things you need.
You have great reactions bro 🤙🏿🤙🏿🤙🏿✊🏿🔥💪🏿🤘🏿🔥💯✊🏿
2:31 Cogita is implied to be the immortal writer of the Old Verses so it’s possible
She might have been implying that her time would end once the chosen one (Rei/Akari) appears tho. But judging from how she said Enamorus would leave you so ominously, I think otherwise. She might tease something (Hello! I’m Gita, from the His….sinnoh region) but she won’t be too important. Saying she’ll appear is overconfident anyway, and an easy way to overhype expectations
Khu is either the Pokémon company or that guy that just left the Pokémon company
Just came back after Pokémon revealed "the coin mon".
you're the best poketuber. I love how you decode everything that may be fake. Real recog real.
The 5 forms might be the HMs/Arceus rides of the game
Bike, boat, jet, item search and climb
if the color thing with like subtracting colors and adding colors maybe the gimmick/gimmick of legendary is to subtract or add types to a pokemon (if the hint wasn't just riding legendaries because the legends names have Raidon at the end)
A month ago with the color riddle, there are technically 5 different forms displayed; 2 different forms of fusing legendaries, mega evolution, primal reversion, and whatever Lugia is(maybe referring to shadow Lugia?)
maybe if we think megas will come back hard enough it’ll happen
Might want to think about the starters I mean 3 type maybe there's 3 evo lines for them or something
-Sprigatito to puss in boots, iberian lynx or a bipedal cleric
-Fuacoco going full ghost pepper, fairy with the final evo leak or go with the constellation theory and become a snake
-Quaxly become a sailer, pirate or a bull fighter
It’s gonna be a past form present form and future form for the gimmick
The gimmick is called crystalization. For a set amount of time in battle your pokemon will be given a crystal form/type. Your pokemon will have 0 weaknesses while the crystalization form lasts. Check out the pokemon trading card game for details. Also RF is Radiant Form. Also check the card game for details.
This is all stuff that been covered.
If this region really is connected to Kalos then it would make sense for it to be Megas again
I think the gimmick is related to either "abilities" or "Types". We already had some evolution gimmick "Megas", tranformation gimmick "gigantamax" and a move gimmick "z moves".
Imagine it’s Titan forms of Pokémon where they gain a third type in battle and dratically raises their stats
Maybe rather then three type it’s three forms having a past, present, and future form
going back to the 3-type gimmick thing being like megas I think as much as people don't want it the armor evolution idea keeps popping into my mind especially if we go to the legendary having 5 forms and typically the legendries are tied in some way to the gimmicks of the region.
The five legendaries I feel are going to combine like a power ranger mech.
For the Titan leak, I don't think it will be too much into it since Dynamax and Gigantamax is basically Pokemon in titan's form. I would love to see a armor evolution or armored up gimmick.
The coin and chest thing sounds cool! Spanish dubloons are a thing, maybe you get them on the beach or in the ocean.
You my go to guy when it comes to any pokemon news
7:32 i wanna eat that microphone
Ttar is getting extremely faster as uploads
i think it will be like a primal reversion/ future evolution kind of thing using the same kinda mechanics of megas, the 3 being past form present form future form
I think the 3 type tease and the Mega re-imagine is something like a past and future form that you can change your pokemon into
Ttar, at One of your most recent vídeo of teories, you talked about the p"roto" and "neo" forma, and that could be the gimmick.
Objectmon will be coin that evolves into a chest full of coins and treasure
maybe it's similar to the origin forms from ORAS' legends, except depending on the version some regular pokemon will get origin forms and futuristic forms, (like a few select could mega evolve) maybe using the new star logo? what do you guys think?? so in total some pokemon will have 3 forms, origin, current and futuristic.
I beleive the 3 means 3 forms, past, present, and future. Meaning specific pokemon have past and future variants that can be used in combat.
3 types of gimmicks: megas, z moves, and dynamax all in one
i think mega's and dynamax should be in this simply due to the proximity of this new region to both galar and kalos, in fact this could very well be the region that kalos was fighting against in their war. my theory is that the blast from azs weapon somehow awoke eternatus at the same time mega evolution was created. it would make sense to have these 2 gimmicks but not z-moves as that is basically on the other side of the world. i personally think this games gimmick will be time crystal that allows you to change a pokemon to their past/future form based on which game you are playing.
Maybe the legends are the mascots for the schools? And they guide you in your journey. Maybe this was already talked about
Just going to be megas with 3 types or something
plot twist: the 3 gimmick thing is megas, z moves and dynamaxs are all in this game
“Megas will return” I wish
Khu is probably part of their marketing team
