Excellent presentation of US Naval forces at work. My father was a WWII naval aviator and survived many harrowing missions. I miss him greatly! God bless our servicemen and women worldwide - keeping us safe 24/7.
My dad was originally slated to be aircrew, but he was rejected because of his teeth! I don't remember if he ever explained why, but if you ever flew with an abscess, you know what even that change of pressure feels like, so I figure it was something along the lines of it disabling him at altitude.
He went on destroyers as a radioman instead, and that might be why I am here today.
As British born citizen of Polish heritage, It is comforting to know the USA has an impressive Navy & superior Air Force Too ! Thanks guys !
As a retired U.S. Navy chief petty officer (with service dating back to Vietnam and through Operation Deny Flight over Bosnia-Herzegovina), thank you for your comment and moral support. Brings a tear to my eyes. We need support of all kinds from good people around the world, including the wonderful and strong people of Poland and our stalwart friends in the U.K. The U.S. Navy is serving on the oceans of the world right now and has been for many, many decades -- and will be so as long as there are dictators doing their worst to enslave people. Wish for peace.👍
It will count sometime
Sad more people don’t feel that way. As a disabled U.S. Navy Veteran who happened to be a nuclear reactor operator in the navy I thank you! 🫡
Thank you for your service to our men & women out there to keep our USA strong! Be kind to each other. Stay safe.
Excellent Video. Really staggering how much technology is in play in the Aviation/Navy ... overall. To the service men and women ... please stay safe and thank you for your service!
I love the US navy... So brave, inteligent and courageus , proffesional in their operations.
Really so do tell what protects freedom and justice then ? If clueless about what protects it how for it
Like your we the people and clueless about what stand for lie down
And the only problem with the world liars try faking understand guess you know deceiving self exactly believe your own lies guessed in life fools speaking saying nothing impressing others pretend to understand
But our goverment is pushing wokeism into the military now
Navy pilots are the best. Landing on carriers in all kinds of weather requires the utmost in flying skills.
You got that right. Never did that, but did worked on the aircraft that were made for the carriers.
Yes go navy🇺🇸
As an old Navy guy (60 years ago), I thank you one, and all, for you courage, sacrifice and loyalty to our country and its people. GOD bless you all, and stay safe.
The old guys in the military in many ways were the greatest. We thank you as well for the very same qualities.
@@standtallvets5386 All gave some ... Some gave all.
I never realized that it takes so much work just to put one of these birds in the air. Thank you for your service to everyone involved.
How the guy @ 4:52 doesn’t tear his trousers open is just as amazing as everything else in this video. As a combat veteran myself USMC 02-06 Iraq 03, I have nothing but respect for any and all US military service members, and although I have no idea I have to wonder about the level of attention the crew had when they were performing the foreign object discovery walk across the flight deck, seeing many of them not even looking down and maybe just going thru the motions. Again, I don’t know, and I’m not here to discredit. As Marines from 5/11 we had the amazing opportunity to ride home on the LHD-6 USS Bonhomme Richard, and see first hand the amazing size and technological features and advancements that such ships has to offer and work with some of the crew that operates them. We weren’t allowed on the flight deck during flight ops, but they did allow us up there for PT some mornings and even a long nap I took one day at the end of the flight deck with my legs hanging over the edge of the ship as it tore thru the sea. No words could ever put it into perspective how amazing and powerful these ships are, and I will never forget my experiences there, and the good relations we had with the Navy crew members. If I spelled the ships name wrong I apologize, but what did you expect from a Jarhead? I was saddened to hear that the ship was badly damaged from a fire just a few years ago and that it may have been intentional and set by a member of the Navy. Please understand that this is just what we were told from the media, and we all know the level of trustworthiness there so any discrepancies would have to be taken up with them, and while your there please inform them that the position as Pinocchio is taken and not open for discussion no matter how strong their efforts may be.
Thank You for your dedication and service to this country - from another grateful veteran.
US Navy is simply the BEST, bar none!
My Dad was a Flight Deck Officer in the Navy back in WWII & Korea, serving on several aircraft carriers. I wish I could hear his opinion of the new Littoral ships; I haven't heard much good about them, but I hope they've gotten better. God bless all those who sail the seas!
I would not expect anything short of well-done to our great men and women who serve in our US Navy.....
WOW! IT'S interesting to see how far the Navy has come in the last 30 years! Wish I could re-enlist, but I'm too old now, but if I could I would!!
MMM Air Force brat here. I love these airplanes!
A lot has changed since my days, 71-93, however, somethings will never change, vertrep, unreps etc, catapulting off a carrier is always a thrilling experience…..
Mine too. Late fifties.
Same here on the 70s thru the 90s days. Worked on some pretty intense prototype military aircraft built by Lockheed, Northrop, and Rockwell during that time period. Lot of good people in those years, including the older guys that had tons of knowledge before retiring to help us younger guys back in those days.
If a person was serious and wanted to put in the work it took, they could learn all they needed to know is a shorter time period as well. And have top references from the older guys, that most people either knew or had heard their names, for the next company and project. No computers or cell phones either. Many of the bosses already knew bosses in the other aircraft companies directly in those days.
Son preciosos todos los aviones ,muchas felicidades ❤
I do not agree. You are absolutely WRONG.
I served on the USSConstellation CVA-64...1971-'73. . I remember the four cats sent 20-25 ton aircraft off in...2-1/2 seconds in 280'. Think that's 0-165 MPH. I worked the flight deck, a Very busy place.
I served on the Connie from 91-95 as a Signalman. Miss them days.
beautiful, beautiful......a special thank you to the pilots as they must go thru hell to learn to fly those machinesQ!!!!!!
US military the best courageous force on earth, i say this with pride and arrogance, I'm not ashamed and I will not apologize for it
Rusia y China.
@ScorpoSangs-ud2os👈❎you're just ignorant about USA Empire of Genocidal LIARS
USA's US Military's cowardly norm, is to offensively attack other civilians worldwide who are peaceful under "permissive scenarios" (target-victims who lack adequate air defenses)
US Military is too cowardly, so, they dare not offensively attack others in "non-permissive scenarios":
such as those who have the enormous capabilities to defensively obliterate the USA's US Military (like Russian Federation, and P.R.China)
there are no real brave soldiers, nor real heroes in USA's US Military; they're too dumb to know how evil USA is against humankind worldwide
Wait & see

That's what I'm talking about is a triple hull design, especially the carriers.

At 5;18 the sailor in green! Is she on the PRT program for weight loss?
I was on the USSJFK CV 67. This is always interesting to me did one mid cruise.😊

Let’s hope they get an intelligent commander and chief in 2024 (clue: neither front runners currently meet that criteria).
I must have missed the part where the Navy's most feared jet shoots off the carrier like a rocket?? Can anyone tell me at what point in the video that shows that? Thanks
They need to drop a recompression chamber for the sub rescue
12-hour shifts on such intense safety roles truly suck.
12 hours were a minimum, it could days.
I wasn’t aware our carriers shoot off planes. It’s a launch, dammit!
I puzzled... at 3:36 both of the vertical stabilizers (or flaps?) are angled inwards. This seems counter-intuitive, doesn't it create a lot of unwanted drag? 🤔
I can't believe not a one knows what protects freedom and justice and many pretend to fight for it when exactly impossible to fight for it and clueless about what protects it
Automated flight deck mode from the hornets flight computer does this , It cleans up after launch !
The LEX (leading edge extensions) at the front of the nose of the Hornet block air over the tail area in high angle flying such as takeoffs and landings. Flight testing revealed that moving the VERTICAL STABS inward like that directs more air over the elevator for more stability. Notice the slots in the LEX. They allow some air to pass through also. Lowered Flaps change the airfoil into a higher lift wing. Although it adds drag, they also increase lift for slow flight. Notice it's not only the flaps (inboard sections on trailing edge of wing), it's also the ailerons that are lowered for takeoff and landing. They're call full span flaps when used this way. The flaps come up and the vertical stabs come to center once the a/c has a good flying speed. The ailerons and vert stabs then operate independently as demanded by the flight computer.

How often to they tighten / Snug the bolts on those planes>?
War can't be win only by weapons that is the reason America could not win any single war yet.

Hate to break it to you, F-18 is flown by Marines and the Navy. OTT, good vid.

Son aviones con tecnologia militar obsoleta!
Sobreviver em um dos maiores oceanos planeta não deve ser fácil
whats the purpose of the weight board for the aircraft?
is it to ensure that the plane is not overloaded?
Each a/c is loaded differently for different missions. Every a/c has a minimum speed for controlled flight, i.e. stall speed. It goes up with weight so as weight goes up, speed must too. The CATAPALT force must be set to accomplish the right speed for that configuration. More bombs, more weight, more speed, needs more CAT force, up to the limit of the nose gear where the shuttle is attached to pull the plane forward. Too much force and you rip off the nose gear. Not enough force for the higher weight and the a/c dribble off the front end into the ocean. The same goes for the arresting wires. Each pilot relays his fuel aboard when calling the ball to land. Less gas means slower approach speed so the tension on the cable must match the force of the a/c when landing. Too much tension and you rip off the tail hook - you dribble off the front end if your brakes can't stop you without the tailhook in a wire. Not enough tension and the wire pulls out too far and the a/c also dribbles off the front end. NOT GOOD!
@@hifinsword thanks
I guess I missed it throughout this video.
That was awesome. Learned something new today.
Does each Navy pilot have his own crew of different colored shirts?

Hi the daily aviation that was amazing video of how you work you all do amazing jobs of keeping our seas safe like 👍 the rescue 🛟 at the end of the video David ❤️👌🇬🇧👍
I just do not understand how pilot train on the carrier could go to China to train Chinese in the same capability. How is that possible? Whom do they take to fly those planes?

一目した時に何を発砲するのかと思った。
I thought that the Lockheed Martin F-22 Raptor was the most feared jet aircraft taking off from the flight deck. The LM F-22 avionics and tactical aspects of the plane are classified. None, as in zero F-22 aircrafts have been, not ever will be in any other countries air force, period, as the electronics and avionics are far superior to any MIG or Sukhoi currently in service. If any pilots from the Navy or Air Force are reading this, your thoughts, please.

We used to be the only country that landed on carriers at night. If I recall hearing, another country is now doing it, as well.
Very good video! Thanks for not using music I have to mute. The difference from my time 81-85 to today blows what little of my mind I have left. My rating MM is a memory now. But working on multi-million dollars of machinery is something very few get to do so they doubt it all but those who know know. My 1st was one of the first ships with women on it and they got the same punishment we went through but was raised by and with strong women so no surprise, but at the time our ship was known nationally as The Love Boat, and on 60 Minutes. 2nd was a Frigate and that was what I wanted in the first place and wasn't distracted looking at anyone on that.
Uy si que rapido😂
well done Taiwan,Taipei,
Awesome asset with awesome budjet, only rich countries can afford. .
Fascinating to watch but carrier duty friggin sucks
F-18 Uno de los pocos aviones gringos que puede derribar con facilidad a los F-22 raptor 🤣
