  • Reverse-cultural shock? Today on the show we have Tomas Fletcher, who is currently the ‘International Head of Primary’ at the prestigious international school Chaoyang Kaiwen Academy. Tom was born and raised in Newcastle, in the UK. Since graduating from university in 2010 he first taught in the Republic of Georgia before moving to Beijing in 2012. Tom has lived in China for more than ten years.

    I have lived in Asia for ten years and have been to ten years here. I'd like to visit the England someday and get a different perspective.

    Yes regarding climate variation, but the cultural variation inbetween distances in the USA is not as pronounced as, for example Western Europe with Near Asia, North Africa and all parts of Europe all within 4 hours flight max; NY to LA being more than 6 hours flight time. Being exposed to such cultural diversity is the beauty of travel which makers people more aware and less affraid of that difference. Just an experienced opinion.
