- This will be my last top video regarding Thomas the Tank Engine and his friends. Here, I discuss my picks for the worst Thomas songs during the model and CGI eras! I hope you enjoy it!!!
And if there's anything I screwed up on or could've done better, then let me know too, just as long as it's constructive criticism.
My next top videos will be on Disney stuff including movies, shows, and characters. But first, I want to do ONE MORE mini review on a certain Thomas episode this month, and that would be "Who's Geoffrey?", which I'll try to finish by sometime next week before the month of September ends.

Unpopular opinion:
I like Sir Topham Hatt’s song from the CGI series. I like its jazzy blues feel to it and I like the singer as he sounds like Louis Armstrong. I still kinda find it an upgrade to the original
@DodotheNickelodeonFanboy That's not the reason I like that song. Again, it's because the words sound like an upgrade to the original Sir Topham Hatt song. Sure, I do like it as well. But at least the CGI Sir Topham Hatt song doesn't sound generic in my opinion unlike "H is for Harold" (which sounds too much like a Barney song). Plus, the type of jazz I'm not into is traditional jazz (E.G. Benny Golson, Miles Davis, Dave Brubeck, etc.)
Ah yes, when Trevor uploads a top 5, things get real fun. And when you add some music to the mix, it's gonna get REAL juicy.
Unfortunately, I didn't add any music in this. The reason I normally don't add in music is because I'm afraid people won't hear my voice with the distracting music. I could turn down the volume, but I like my videos to be informative and fun.
@@TrevortheTrainFan I hear you, mister. It's no fun getting copyright claims/strikes. Heck, a certain user ALMOST had his channel terminated because of false(!) "copyright infingement" accusations from four webcomic "artists" . Luckily, the termination didn't happen and he even started a second channel.

I've gotta be honest:
Sure, the HiT Era songs are generic but I really enjoy listening to them. "Emily" is my 10th favourite from it. Although I agree with your opinion on "H is for Harold".
I don't really care for "Let's Dream" but it is quite boring, that and "How Does it Work?" are probably the worst Thomas songs I've ever heard.
I actually have a guilty pleasure for 3 New Era Songs, those being:
Surprises
Togetherness
Ode to Gordon
I've heard much worse Thomas songs, which are Burning Up the Tracks and Dance With Me.
Fun Fact: The instrumental of the Fat Controller song is used during the montage scene of the Season 19 episode Goodbye Sir Topham Hatt.

BTW some of the Hit Era Songs in my opinion are really nostalgia in my opinion because I remember enjoying theses songs back when PBS Kids airing the show.
1:22 You know, Trevor? Now that you mentioned that fact, the music of the Brenner series are a few renditions of classic M&J score. For example, in the episode, Luke’s New Friend from Season 17, in the scene where Luke says goodbye to the deer, there is a snippet of Henry’s Forest theme. Another example is in Henry Spots Trouble from Season 19, when Henry puffs out of Knapford feeling worried, there is a short snippet of Henry’s Sad theme.
The New Model Era Songs are actually okay in my opinion. Sure they do have some cheesy lyrics, but I think I'm more a fan of the instrumental. I do like listening to instrumental tracks of certain songs rather than the lyric versions for some reason.
And I can agree with you on the Nursery Rhymes songs. To be honest, I really hated nursery rhymes when I was a teenager, and I still kind of do to this day. And what's worse is that I found out the Nursery Rhyme songs are not only just like Cocomelon, but also like Barney the Freakin' Dinosaur!
Not to mention that the animations in those Nursery Rhyme Thomas Videos are kind of cheesy.
I like the Emily song of the fact that Emily was becoming a main character in S8 and then she moved in the next season. Although we already have a STH song, I love the S14 version since of the nice jazz. I actually like the DOTD song.

The birthday song from TMBW is so cringy too. But, I still respect your opinion on some of the songs in this list.

I don’t mind the song Brave from Season 9. I like how Headmaster Hastings made his own version.

Those fantasy sequences are merely filler and an attempt to entertain the kids.
“Harold the Helicopter” from S5 blows “H is for Harold” out of the sky. I wanted to say “blew out of the water” but Harold doesn’t float, he flies

I know this has nothing to do with this video but, your actually one of my favourite Thomas TH-camrs besides James a Williams, and the unlucky tug, not only you demonstrate everything perfectly, but your voice somewhat suits this charm if you talk about Thomas content, keep up the good work mate 👍

I'm pretty sure Ed Welch was going for kids in music class when writing the hit songs , in my opinion they're okay. Not amazing , but i not terrible either , plus Emily is a misunderstood character so her song is kinda right

my opinion is that the hit songs and the season 13 to 16 songs are great!

I actually Like Both the Sir Topham Hatt Songs. I think they both have a great Sound to them.
I think I love the Day of the Diesels song because it gives me Shane Acker’s 9 Welcome home song vibes

This was a pretty decent list. I do agree that a lot of these songs are bad, especially the Nursery Rhymes ones. But I can handle your opinion on the HiT era songs. I personally think most of them have catchy instrumentals, especially ones like Emily's song, The Sounds Song and There's Always Something New (the latter of which I have a lot of nostalgia for, as well as Emily's song but I respect your opinion on the latter). But I do agree that H is for Harold really doesn't suit the character of Harold.
y' know I really hate the lullaby themes because they're way too slow

I think Mike O’Donnell stated in an interview with a Thomas fan that Gordon’s classic theme is impossible to be made in a song and I kind of agree with him on that. But some themes like Duck’s and Emily’s sound like something that could’ve possibly been turned into a song about one of them
Thomas songs these days have gone down the cocomelon route sadly, But at least the older songs like Little engines, Thomas anthem, Toby, and He's a really useful engine, are still up on youtube. also nice ranking.
My least favourite Thomas song is All the Girls Around the World.

Yeah, I find the dream sequence in big world big adventures very annoying to all Thomas’s fans and especially myself.
I like the sir thopam hatt song, the day of the diesels song, and the let’s dream song in my opinion but I respect your opinion on the songs that you put on the list
I agree that the new fat controller song was bland, but someone made a hilarious parody called the Ballad of the Fat Controller

I don't think songs from the hit the Miller eras and the Big World Big Adventures minus the dream sequence one weren't bad to begin with And if I would have to change the Day of the Diesels theme song I would add all the Diesels on Sodor instead of just repeating the same lyrics But still keep Diesel 10 And the patient song was actually kind of calming I also like all girls around the world because it talks about all the girls on the island of sodor especially around the world in the Thomas universe it could be a new intro to a female Thomas spin-off that I would like to call the ladies of sodor

Sir topham hatt song makes my ears bleed
I personally don't like most of the Miller CGI era songs. Why? Because they forcefully have to mention the whole Steam Team in the lyrics and it totally kills and ruins the vibe of the song. It's not the Engine Roll Call for God's sake!
