    As an instrumentalist, I am used to perfect tuning.Ther are no beats or "waves" when tununing. How does that work with or not work for orchestras? I wondered how pianos weee tuned to standard tuning. Hope I can get used to this.

      The software detecting beats is Logic with a bunch of distortion (I think)

    Hello Hyrum, regarding the 4ths & 5ths and the comparison of the beats for the 6th and 10th and the major 3rds, could you tell me what these beats are and should the 6th beat faster or slower than the 17th or visa versa please? Thanks

      If you simplify your question, I might be able to help (tuner 40 years).

    Can I tune an acoustic piano to my korg synthesizer?

    • @saltlakepianoservice
      @saltlakepianoservice  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It could be tuned to your synthesizer, but the octaves and other intervals may not sound their best as each piano needs to be tuned to slightly different frequencies. This all depends on what kind of piano you have and how closely it matches the synthesizer sound.

    Question: in 2023 can the filter tell the technician exactly how many beats per second there are and tune accordingly?

    • @saltlakepianoservice
      @saltlakepianoservice  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      My bandpass filter just runs through my tuner so it does not have that capability. One challenge to tuning that way is that the beat rates aren't a perfectly consistent pulse in reality and some pianos might call for faster or slower beats slightly, so it would difficult to tune that way practically I would think.
