Perfect talking points and concepts, good work bro 👏 but please help me: Strengthen North American Unity Against Division
In light of recent events, it's essential to recognize that our collective security is paramount. Attempted acts of violence, such as the failed Trump assassination, are not just isolated incidents but potential catalysts for division, often fueled by external propaganda.
🇺🇸🇨🇦 **United We Stand: A Call for North American Solidarity** 🇨🇦🇺🇸
It's critical to understand that falling into the trap of blaming or further polarizing ourselves plays into the hands of those who seek to weaken our unity. The second domino of Russian propaganda is not just misinformation but the seed of division. We must be vigilant and prioritize our security.
**Key Points:**
- **Security First**: Let's focus on enhancing our security measures and protecting our communities.
- **Reject Division**: Regardless of political stance, remember that we are stronger together.
- **Stay Informed**: Be aware of external influences aiming to divide us. Verify information and seek reliable sources.
- **Promote Unity**: Embrace a collective identity that transcends political differences. We are North Americans first.
**Join the Conversation:**
Share your thoughts on how we can further enhance our security and strengthen our unity. Together, we can ensure a safer and more united North America.
#UnitedNorthAmerica #SecurityFirst #RejectDivision #StayInformed #PromoteUnity

Let's stand together against any force that aims to divide and weaken us. We're not just citizens of our countries; we're part of a larger North American family that won't be torn apart by those who lost the Cold War.
Did you read the Microsoft Cyber Security Report last fall? It discloses the massive disinformation campaigns creating racial and political discourse by tens of millions of Chinese nationals impersonating American extremist from both sides,

40:27 An EOD friend once told me this: When the war is over, in the first year, 80% of all landmines and uxo will be found. Over the next 20 years, they will find another 15%. It will take 200 years to find another 4%. That always leaves 1%. We find civil/revolutionary uxo in SC every few years.
That makes a lot of sense. Thank your EOD guy.
The only caveat I can think is things like France's Red Forest, where the UXO is so bad, they just don't clean up.
The easy way or the hard way, like the occasional French cow where the WW1 trenches were?
@@westrim Its basically a nature preserve they made around a really bad section of what used to be the Western Front. Areas have high arsenic and other chemical pollution, and there is (by one test area count done in the 2000's) roughly a shell buried in every 120 square feet in the upper half-foot of soil. Evert living room-sized area for hundreds of square miles has a shell. It's Chernobyl for UXO.
The sad truth ..... feelings about history aside, but civilians are still dying in Viet Nam from mines and unexploded ordinance.

LOL, thank you brother for the comment, it made me laugh. Very good.
As a Mississippi swampbilly, I'm curious as to what country in Europe do Germans consider to be the Mississippi of Europe? Because I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but we oyster crackers in Mississippi consider Germany to be our counterparts in Europe. And again, I sincerely apologize for bringing Germany into such a lowly comparison. But on the bright side, we have the best goddamn food on the planet! IMHO: That part about the USA losing war. You do everything at the beginning excellent: strategy, equipment, logistics, etc.. that is the result of training, resources, advanced tech. Veni, vidi, vici from military perspective in first couple of months.
But keeping territory for a longer time requires a different setup, especially where a lot of the civilian population is located. And that is not the fault of the regular army man, but the politicians.
btw. great crew, greetings from Croatia!
If the point of a war is to change the culture in a place like Afghanistan, you need to impose the new culture for minimum of 50 years. You need to be there long enough that the grandchildren become the grandparents.
At that point everybody has grown up under the new system.
There will still be significant influence of the previous system but at that point at least there's a lot of people around who are much more comfortable with the new system.
Sometimes changing the culture isn't necessary if you can change the leadership of the country. Getting rid of Hitler fixed Germany. Getting rid of Putin probably wouldn't fix Russia...
Please do more of this type of videos. I loved this.
Shout out to my son who just got accepted into the JCU (part of JSOC).

Excellent discussion, thanks!
Great vid. Came here from Linecrosser's channel. An observation from an outside (non-US) observer re "losing wars:" I believe that American senior leadership, including its strategic doctrine, believes that the way the first two World Wars ended is "normal." That a war is "won" when you drive your tanks over the rubble that once was their capital city and then occupy it for a few decades. And to be fair, that was the war the US was training for against the Soviets during the cold war, big and nasty and to the quick. But for other conflicts, I don't believe that there is a clear understanding in the US of what success is or how to prosecute it. Canada (my guys) fought in Afghanistan. There were successes, and they came at a cost. But it wasn't something we were there to "win." We won victories, sure. And we won them there, so we wouldn't have to fight for them on our own soil. But I don't believe anyone expected our enemies to be destroyed forever and Afghanistan would know peace and double-doubles. We just knocked them back for a while. Someday they'll regroup, and maybe they'll come back for us. We'll fight them again. England and France fought many times, in many wars. Both countries are still there. More often it's about foreign policy objectives, rather than "seeing your enemies flee before you and hearing the lamentations of their women." But none of that is you guys. You guys rock. Respect.
Ryan is awesome. When he shakes off the stink of NewsMax, he'll be true force for good when it comes to fighting disinformation...
I certain don't begrudge Ryan a paycheck, but he undermines his own credibility working for NewsMax and palling around with white supremacist Gorka.

I "watched" this as a podcast - for obvious reasons. It was still great.
What a great team to see in my feed this morning! Damn I feel that getting home to nothing feeling Ryan mentioned. I got off the bus and saw my fellow Marines going to their families, and I got my divorce finalized while I was gone. Had no one there for me. Went to get into my new room and it was trashed. Dozens of empty beer cans, cigarettes put out of the headboard, Had a 6 pack of beer so I played a little music, went out for a smoke and some new duty LT said "Hey can't smoke there, turn your music down, can't have glass bottles on the barracks(that changed while I was gone), fix yourself or you will be speaking to 1st Sergeant in the morning."

About the 40mm vs 50mm thing. Its typically called the "square law". When you double the the exterior measurments (length and diameter) you quadruple the volume, so if you scale up a shell by 25% you get a +50% increase in volume.

At about 24:10. What cappy is talking about is the square/cube law. As surface area goes up, linearly volume goes exponentially.
the part when hes talking about why the 30mm was so much better than the 20 or 25. i think that covo starts closer to the 25:00 mark

The casualty thing is so true, I’m Australian so I obviously focus more on the Australian efforts. In ww1 we lost 59,000 men kia and about 300,000 all up kia pow and injured. One statistic I found partially for the last year of ww1 was Australia made up 1% of allied forces on the western front. Inflicted 13% of all casualties on German troops. That means in a bare minimum Australia’s total war casualties broke even in the final year of the war and we are well ahead for the rest of it. In ww2 we had far fewer casualties of all types and fought at Tobruk the first place the 3rd reich was ever refused entry. Fought at El Alamein, fought in Gazala, fought at Milne bay, the first land defeat the Japanese ever had, in fact the Papua New Guinea campaign had 7000 American casualties 9000 Australian casualties and 200,000 Japanese casualties. So again it’s closing in on a 5-1 ratio at worst. Then you go to Korea, 300 Australians Kia. Fought t kapyong where an Australian battalion and Canadian battalion and New Zealand artillery battery defeated 10,000 Chinese soldiers. That was a 3 day battle in a 3 year war. Move to Vietnam 600 Australians Kia at long tan alone 108 Australians and a New Zealand artillery battery defeated a NVA division of 1500-2500 men in one afternoon meaning they inflicted roughly the total casualties for Australia in Vietnam on the NVA in 1 afternoon. Iraq, Afghanistan and Iraq again, Australia’s casualties are in the dozens in total maybe 60s and with the amount of guys I’ve spoken to about the places it’s safe to say we’ve inflicted more casualties again. The west don’t lose wars, we get bored and go home.
You should do this regularly over discord or something. Absolutely top tier!
If y'all decide to make a dedicated podcast channel with 1 or 4 Episodes a Month I am going to be thrilled to watch them.
I was but a lowly Stinger Gunner/Team Chief back in the late 80s and early 90s so while I do have some knowledge, training, and experience working in SHORAD I'm pretty sure that what we were doing in Desert Shield/Desert Storm is not nearly as relevant today as it was then at least in the context of the small drones we see being used to drop ordinance or direct Artillery/CAS. However I do have some hobbies that have lead to an idea for what I refer to as MORAD (Micro Range Air Defense). In the old SHORAD units of the mid 80s to mid 90s we had a Stinger Platoon with 4 sections of 4-5 two man teams and three Vulcan Platoons with 3 self propelled 20mm Vulcans and a M113 with an M2 that was the Platoon leaders vehicle (The Platoon Sgt had a HMMWV). Each Self Propelled Vulcan also carried a Stinger Gunner and 2 Stinger Missiles. Something that I noticed was that when the Vulcans went to live fire and were firing at RCMATs while on line (so in affect a Platoon effort) they were relatively effective and could knock the RCMATs down without much effort. However when operating one Vulcan at a time even our best gunners struggled to hit. These days me and my friends like to fly Radio Controlled Airplanes and Drones, and we also like shooting them down. Something we quickly figured out was that the more lead you can put into the air the more likely you are to drop it. Obviously a shotgun is the go too. When we used pump actions, and practied a lot we did ok most of the time unless Dave was flying, Daves a freaking rockstar of an RC pilot and can usually take evasion action. After spending a couple hours of not getting any hits on Daves aircrafts, we were cooking up some burgers and talking smack. I told Dave, "When I build myself a 6 barreled rotary shotgun firing 10 gauge 3.5" Magnum Turkey shells with #5 shot at 3000 shells per minute things are not going to be so easy for you."
We all laughed because as cool as that would be we all know I couldn't afford the ammo if I managed to build the gun. But then the drone action in Ukraine started going nuts and I was thinking that my joke of an idea for a gun would actually work. A 10 gauge shooting 3.5" Magnum, #5 shot can take out big Canadian geese at impressive ranges with a single shot.
My "Vulcan Scattergun" firing 3k shells per minute would literally be throwing a wall of hundreds of thousands of #5 shot at any and every drone in the sky. It wouldn't need to be any bigger than one of the miniguns already in service, and it puts enough lead in the air to get it done. And of course loaded with buckshot and slugs you've got a perimeter defense weapon that nobody's going to want to face.
I'll never get tired of watching Ryan McBeth content. and this double crossover was so rad
(p.s. - thank you for not doing that terrible TH-camr thing where you spoil the best part of the video at the very start as an "in this interview.....")
This was amazing. My favorite 3 miltubers all in one place.
Id' also like to try and explain why 50mm is much bigger than 40mm. It's the square in the equation. To calculate a cylinder's volume, it's Length x PI x Radius Squared. So if you have two projectiles of the same Length, we can ignore that. Since PI is a constant, we can also ignore that. So now we're just left with the radius squared.
50*50 = 2500 (difference of 900)
40*40 = 1600 (difference of 700)
for completeness
30*30 = 900 (difference of 275)
25*25 = 625
look how fast the the number is going up, even though we're only incrementing by 10 each time.
You're correct in principal, but you're squaring the diameter, not the radius.
25 * 25 = 625
20 * 20 = 400
The fundamental error I see is that this assumes length is constant, which it is not. Length scales in roughly the same ratio as the diameter does.
Think of a .50-cal BMG projectile versus a .223 Remington:.
Diameter ratio is .50/.223 = 2.28:1
Length ratio is 2.5"/0.82" = 3.04:1
Mass ratio is 700gn/63gn = 11.1:1
Since the mass ratio and the volume ratio are essentially the same thing (lead and copper having constant densities), we can see that just over doubling the caliber results in an 11:1 increase of internal volume. It is, in fact, just about exactly what we would get by cubing the diameter ratio which would give us 11.24:1
