    I will forever never ever understand why someone first thing in the morning takes a car to a gym for cardio. Just go outside for a walk or jog, specifically for pro bodybuilders they really overthink life

    • @brittanymeenach6430
      @brittanymeenach6430 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Depends on what is needed to get to said goal. Also, safety. I don’t want to be walking around early am by myself.
      Elliptical, treadmills, bikes are all low impact and don’t cause inflammation- the goal in contest prep is to mitigate as much inflammation as it impacts how the body looks. Also, using a machine you can track multiple data points and data is king to winning in this sport.
      I don’t think bodybuilders over think- I think it’s a matter of doing what it takes to win. No different than someone doing what it takes to win a boxing match, a pageant or car race.
      And maybe we just enjoy going to the gym in the am for cardio.
      I’m sure you do things in your daily that some wouldn’t agree with- and that’s okay.

    • @PumaTomten
      @PumaTomten หลายเดือนก่อน

      @brittanymeenach6430 A cardio machine won't track your estimated kcal usage more accurate than a pulse watch time+distance+pace equals your kcal by walking/running. I've seen people up treadmills to 7-8km/h pace to get more kcal burnt still all they do is just taking longer steps not actually walking faster forward. Use 100-400m sprinters for example they are shredded all year from tracks

    • @brittanymeenach6430
      @brittanymeenach6430 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@PumaTomtenthere are no absolutes when it comes to this sport. If I use an elliptical and my calorie goal is 350 calories each session- and I do that in 30 minutes, the next day 29 minutes… with the goal to beat my previous cardio session time while keeping the calorie count the same- that is a variable of data that can be used in contest prep.
      Track athletes are shredded year round but most don’t have the muscle mass to win a bodybuilding show. Different goals require different applications and in that - everything is individual when it comes to this sport.
      No one way is the right way- the right way is what works for that athlete and that may change each prep.

      Meat-based and vegetable-based protein powders are available. Veggie protein is not as efficient per calorie:protein ratio, but it's there. You'd likely have to go online to find stuff like pure beef protein isolate and it tastes nasty. I'd rather just have a meat-heavy diet, or more to the point: prioritize protein. Whatever you eat, make sure the biggest portion in a meal by volume or calories is a high-protein food, at least on the level of fatty meat.
      Also, you _should_ ask your GP or a dietician instead of random schmucks on the internet. I dunno what the hell I'm talking about.

      @@Seanod123 What time you wake is determined my how many meals you have to eat that day. We get the amount of "needed" sleep. 10 hours isn't needed.

      I guess you could get up at 0800, and go to bed at 2400, but then you'll have to deal with rush hours etc.

      I wake up at 4.30 and is not as hard as most people think. It is just about discipline and take yourself seriously enough.

    The only thing i cannot co-op is the volume. It is mazohistic to do it. Literally my abdomen is destroyed, not even mentioning number 2..
    Especially with work 8 plus hours a day, even if i prep all my means every single day for the whole day..
    I have extreme trouble sleeping after eating so much, like how tf they do it, I'm not sarcastic, not chickening out, I'm disciplined and staying solid on the goals, but Jesus, if they do not use some digestion supplements i bet my head it is impossible to digest this on time before the next meal...
    Honestly by eating intuitively even if it takes me half my life, I'm in for it.
    Slow, but nice n joyful.
    Work and life etc is tough enough stress on the body and with kg's of food daily i do not see a point man.
    Can you advice me without any supplements how do you guys co-op with being sick full all the time and how do you sleep?
    It is an honest comment, no sarcasm,please :)
    Be blessed you all and stay healthy !
    p.s. I've read here and there that some pros actually have a water day each month,and some have 2 to even 3 lighter days a week, depending on history of ulcers, gastritis,etc...
    The second option works best so far for me,but during to heavy days,Jesus,it is insane to co-op...

      Eat the same things all the time and your digestion will get more efficient. Eat foods that don't cause bloating like mainly animal proteins and you'll be able to digest perfectly with minimal gas.

    I hope everyone "eating before bed" is actually giving their stomachs time to digest the food... when you sleep your digestive system doesn't move as fast as when you are awake and anything in your stomach ends up backing up into your esophagus giving you acid reflux type diseases over time... and no I'm not making this up, go ask a doctor.

    • @elikebudi
      @elikebudi 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      That’s the truth. I had severe reflux disease in the past and the doctor said no eating before bed (at least 2-3 hours after last meal) and it worked. I can’t always manage it but it’s very important.
