I've been following Buff Dudes since around 2015-2016 (I think) and I love that after all these years you guys still put out content that's informative, entertaining and motivational as hell
Buff Dudes are at that level where they could probably just phone it in and yet they still don’t. Everything they put out has that same level of knowledge, charm and humor as they did since day one. They’ve found a way to elevate their content without compromising their integrity. That’s what sets them apart. Thanks, Dudes.
Ive been doing this for about 3 months now. I live in Canada so a tub in the back yard works for me. I am impressed that you just dove right into it. I did 3 weeks of cold showers and worked up from 50F water down to 36F. It is warm out now now so it sits around 40-44F....still brutally cold. My morning routine consists of jumping in my hot tub for 15mins then 3 mins in the cold tub. I am 54 and just started lifting again thanks to this. It destroys inflammation in my joints letting me lift pain free. You guys are very inspirational and I love the way you present fitness. Keep up the great work and thank you for the push I need sometimes.
That’s so great! I’m only 28 and have some arthritis in my knees. I have been plunging for about a month now. How often do you do it? I’ve been doing it about 1-2 times per week.
Absolutely thrilling and exhilarating to watch. The locations are breathtaking as well! I am so impressed with your resolve, B! And so proud! Love you guys! xo
My favorite part about this video was that it wasn't just a wealthy guy showing off their 5k dollar cold plunge. It was cool seeing you going into the river and really challenging yourself
agreed! not someone doing a cold plunge when it is 80 out. It's cold really cold outside and obviously it's worse in the water. Getting ready to start in a few days myself.LETS GO!!!!
My health journey started with you guys at the end of 2020 while living in Arizona. Now, I’m in the best shape of my life thanks in large part to your content! And I now live here in central/southern Oregon. That waterfall is one of my favorite to visit! Thanks for keeping up the great content!
Been here since day one 11 years ago this is in my top 3 vids you guys made . After 5 years out the gym only got back into it this week and this is motivation I needed Stay BUFF.
That dog is awesome! Center of the shot the whole time! Love it! Run to the fear and challenge yourself to overcome it. My first cold plunge in Lake Coeur d'Alene was a challenge. Today (1/10) our group did 4 minutes in 39 degree water at 6:30 A:M. It's a great way to start the day and it definitely helps with DOMS.
I was feeling cold all the time(like my grandma did) so I started shoveling snow/ brushing off the car in my underwear at 5 in the morning up here in Alberta, during the peak of our winter. It was -30c the first morning I did this but it worked. I reasonable conquered the cold.
Great video! Holy cow, tough as nails! Also damn you found some very beautiful scenery for your plunges!! As someone in an uglier state I sometimes forget we have places like that hah.
One of the first channels that got me started in lifting and taught me proper form. Glad to see they're still pushing out quality content. That said, 37F is hardcore AF. Health benefits occur 50F-59F for a minimum of 11 minutes per week. That's all that's needed. Caveat to anyone watching: don't do a lake plunge unless you have people watching you, because you can seize up and drown if you have a bad reaction or your muscles freeze up. Also if you have any un/diagnosed heart conditions you can and will die from cold shock in 30-40f. One lady died from 50F for 3 minutes. Be careful is all. I ice plunge in my ice pod every day. I'm neurotic AF, and it helps calm my mind SO much. I notice a profound increase in the amount of control I have over my crazy brain. Stress does not hit as hard. And that's just at 50F. Can't wait to experience the 40s and 30s! Stay buff!
This video was a work of art and inspirational. I've been taking cold showers for almost 8 years and I'm at the point where a hot shower just doesn't feel right. Cold plunges in nature & ice baths are still tough for me... This video makes me want to run down to the nearest drainage pond and jump in (LOL). Cheers Buff Bros...
Great work! I’m a 4-5 times/week cold plunger myself and absolutely love watching you do this too! I’m also jealous of those fantastic locations too. Not sure if it’s been mentioned or not, but if you wear even a thin pair of neoprene booties, it does wonders on your time in the water. Always love your videos, keep up the great work!
I really enjoyed this one. Cold water work is tough but it's also fascinating as hell. When you get into the right mindset then it becomes easier. It was the same for my surfing days when we'd wake up for early winter surfs. Having friends with you can make it easier but soon you won't even need them because your mind gets so conditioned.
Cold 🥶 water therapy changed my life too! I never knew I had Raynaud's syndrome until I started cold plunging. If you have it, this will make it way worse!!! It has made my life very challenging in the Midwest winters. So be safe everyone and merry Christmas 🎁🎄
I've been doing cold water immersion for years. When I started doing it I noticed how well my body would recover from work. I never even bothered to look it up to see if it was actually beneficial or not because I enjoyed the way I felt after. People used to look at me like I was crazy while I would chip away at the ice to make a hole all while being shirtless in swimming trunks. Seems like more and more people are coming around to the idea of cold immersion. Shout out to my fellow polar plungers in the Adirondacks.
2:00 into this video and I’ve got to say, great job on the editing and producing of this video. The processing look and vibe is phenomenal. Going back to the vid now.
Wow, this video is something else. Professional production!!! I got so much motivation to do anything in general that I can't express.. THANKS BUFF DUDES!!!!
My friends and I use to go to a river that flowed through a cave and I always slept well those days after the cold water. It was amazing, Go buff dudes, buff girl and buff dog in the background.
Seeing those temperatures reminds me of high school swim team. We didn't have an indoor, heated pool back then so practice was in an outdoor pool, at night, during the winter. It was mostly when the wind was really bad they let us go 2 cities over too another school's indoor pool but all that did was keep the wind off of us and the only places you felt the heat was right next to the vents. Had to keep moving if you wanted to stay warm.
I started cold plunging in early October and by beginning of December, with the winter months fully going, I got my indoor circular tub down to 4C (40F). I stay in there for between 5-8 minutes 6-7 times a week, fully submersed up to my chin (Getting your shoulders covered is key to acclimating to the cold). Unfortunately, I quit over Christmas break as I was going away. After late nights, early mornings and eating crap food, my immune system broke down and I'm currently sick. When I recover, I will be filling my pool back up and getting back into it!
You should've looked up "Wim Hof" to get a better understanding/method to cold immersion. I did his level 1 in Poland years ago. Ever since then, all I do I take cold showers and cold plunges, even in winter. Also, one benefit to doing this is you tend to not get as sick as often
I remeber I had a nasty break up about 10 years ago and some friend suggested randomly that we go to the beach for a swim. Well my beach is on the North sea so it was freezing but I went in and splashed about for a bit, was in their a while and came out feeling great. I started again with the cold shower during lockdown but stopped them somewhat lately for gym reasons. I think I'll go back to sea swims and cold showers now.
Plunge is better experience than showers for sure. You went pretty hard (temperature-wise) for your first few times. If you can start at 55 degrees and extend your time to 10 to 15 minutes, then go colder by 5 degrees and less time. So maybe 50 at 5 minutes then work back up to 10 minutes. Then drop the temps again by 5 more degrees. This can be stretched out over. Month or more depending on your acclimation. Also, I suggest learning about Tummo breathing techniques.
If you're interested in cold water exposure and more adventurous challenges, Ross Edgley has two books about resilience and how cold water exposure as well as many other factors have benefited his training and events! He also has a TH-cam channel with some interesting videos on it. Stay Buff!!!
Truly inspiring, great video, montage and of course pictures. I looking for a Wim Hof camp in Poland after watching your video! You’re the beast, keep it up! Cheers!
DOMS kicks my ass the older I become. You are awesome for doing this. I always wondered about this thing. Thanks for sharing your experience with us.💪🏻
i actually used to do cold showers post workout at the gym and that fight or flight is really something. if youre not careful, you can even pass out. it takes a lot of focus if you arent used to it. since moving to washington its been much harder to wanna do that, but i need to bring them back
I just ran outside for 1/4 mile in 5 deg F. In my skivvies. Cheers Love me ice showers. around 48 deg. They are definitely BF reducing or size reducing. Hormone boosting. I feel good all day. I do two of them a day. Or 3. Then hot then cold again.
Good job. I would try this in the future. I've been doing cold showers for about 2 years, and even that I've noticed being more awake during the day, and able to stand cold temperatures better. Very invigorating in the morning.
just be careful. after 50 years of age, teperature-change induced cardiac arrest (not heart attack, arrest) risk soars insanely high, regardless of your fitness level.
Inspirational video, I really like the quality of the picture from the FX3 (I assume it's the FX3), as a fan from Europe I appreciate that you showed the water temperature in F°/C°. Happy Holidays!
Awesome you were able to do 32 degrees, theirs other types of cold (might as well add in heat0 exposure to give a whirl... Keltie o'conner ran through a month of cold exposure and discovered cryo was the way to go for her, each person has their own way of doing things but theirs various forms you should try
Man, I wish I had the resources to go out and do stuff like that. That was beautiful. I'm not sure if you talked about safely warming up after doing something like this. From what I was told you need to gradually warm yourself up to your normal core temp. Or you can get pretty sick if you don't. So be careful.
I did cryotherapy at like -175F, and my opinion I think it’s easier than doing cold plunge. Instead of submerging yourself into cold water and having the water on your skin, I believe the cold air is much easier and suitable. You warm up much faster, but your skin does sting when you do it.
I tried this in my pool as fall and winter came. The coldest I could tolerate was 60 degrees. Let me specify that I didn’t plunge, but swam laps. It takes much more energy to swim in colder water.
I just started the vid, but from that first plunge... Box breathing would do wonders for that situation. And instantly going so cold alone is kinda sketch my guy. Regardless, well fuckin' done! Now to watch the rest of the vid!

They’ve found a way to elevate their content without compromising their integrity. That’s what sets them apart. Thanks, Dudes.
what do you mean by that lol. this is their job. they are certainly not set for life financially if thats what you're implying
Ive been doing this for about 3 months now. I live in Canada so a tub in the back yard works for me. I am impressed that you just dove right into it. holy crap. his chest look all purple.

im referring to the beginning part, first few days
Love the way this video was shot and edited. Great job guys.

The last few videos have been bangers. But this one was absolutely awesome. Inspirational as hell!
The quality of this video is truly outstanding.
Thank you for the motivation and for sharing the experience.
Stay Buff!
Seriously, they've really upped their game with the video quality.
Wow, great job pushing through, and I'm very glad to see Hudson in the end joining you for the final plunge. Bros sticking together.
I feel reinvigorated and healthier just watching you. Great job.
For all the experiments that these guys are willing to do, they should have so many more followers. It’s amazing to watch and gives great ideas
Been here since day one 11 years ago this is in my top 3 vids you guys made . After 5 years out the gym only got back into it this week and this is motivation I needed Stay BUFF.
Buffdudes production value, color grading, and cinematography is leveling up for 2024!

This was pretty cool. I'm liking the out of the box content you guys are putting out.
Good for you brother! Way to get after it. Still around and still trying new things to make life better.
The whole video I was wondering, “where’s Hudson at?!?!” This ish is right up his alley 😂😂😂
11:13 omg this location is so mesmerizing 😍

Love the format "Better Understanding"
Then taking and testing "methods" of exercises both physical and mental.

Dude went from beginner to Wim Hoff in 7 days, congrats dude!!!!!
I love this. The Oregon coast is wild. I make sure to jump into the ocean every time I visit
the pacing on this video is really great, was very fun to watch!
Wow that was one of the best buff dudes videos I’ve ever seen man I love you guys. Been watching for 10+ years now. You guys are legends
Fantastic video! Great editing and camera work, and I really enjoyed the adventure. You guys are leveling the channel up and I love it!
Wow, this video is something else. Professional production!!! I got so much motivation to do anything in general that I can't express.. THANKS BUFF DUDES!!!!

I think this is best phase of your life man. You look so healthy and good looking. I'm happy for you. Keep going.
Respect for doing this in Nature!
The production gets better every video. Awesome to see
Fucking chills when Hudson showed up

honestly these videos are really good. both or your guys videos I mean. awesome
3:05 Hate when that happens
This is always the case but this video in particular is so inspiring. Thanks and have a Merry Christmas!
I see a buff dudes video I open and hit like before it begins.
This is a way to go. I've started to practice cold exposure two years a go and like it very much.
Incredible!! Congratulations!!
landscape shots are amazing. may you share the location you went to ?
I remeber I had a nasty break up about 10 years ago and some friend suggested randomly that we go to the beach for a swim. Well my beach is on the North sea so it was freezing but I went in and splashed about for a bit, was in their a while and came out feeling great.

Video 16 of reminding you guys of how much of an inspiration you are to us all. Love love

You need to suffer to appreciate. Nice conclusion. Love the scenery in the woods with the waterfalls.
Great video, Brandon! I totally want to try that. Great meeting you at REI! Highlight o my week. Merry Christmas!
So Hudson did it without a full week of cold plunging. He’s tough.
the quality of this video is insane. I got to give this a try! hell yeah!
Truly inspiring, great video, montage and of course pictures.
I looking for a Wim Hof camp in Poland after watching your video!
You’re the beast, keep it up!
Cheers!
You guys, the cinematography and color grading is straight 🔥 you guys are killing it!
DOMS kicks my ass the older I become. You are awesome for doing this. I always wondered about this thing. Thanks for sharing your experience with us.💪🏻
wow that penultimate plunge was picturesque.
If you ever do this again try working out after plunging, it's a whole different monster.
i actually used to do cold showers post workout at the gym and that fight or flight is really something. if youre not careful, you can even pass out. it takes a lot of focus if you arent used to it. since moving to washington its been much harder to wanna do that, but i need to bring them back
You guys are a bunch of ballers. So inspirational. Thanks for making great content.
I just ran outside for 1/4 mile in 5 deg F. In my skivvies. Cheers
Love me ice showers. around 48 deg. They are definitely BF reducing or size reducing. Hormone boosting. I feel good all day. I do two of them a day. Or 3.
Then hot then cold again.
Never had expiriance in cold plunge..Easy 2 -5 minutes.. coldest one was -16C and water seemed to be great! Doing this secind season now. Good luck!
That was some awesome scenery being shown. Thanks for the video.

im also always up for new fun experiences with buff dudes
Wow, the production value on this video was great.
This was cool. Merry Christmas Buff Dudes!
Fantastic video! Loved the cinematography and theme
Watching from the Gold Coast australia. Currently 100f and humid 😂
Inspirational video, I really like the quality of the picture from the FX3 (I assume it's the FX3), as a fan from Europe I appreciate that you showed the water temperature in F°/C°. Happy Holidays!
The quality of this video is top tier!!
Great video. Real inspiration. Fantastic job guys. Thank You for sharing
Cant wait for the next 12 week plan. Be my fourth book from you guys!
nice regards from Austria ❄❄❄
Awesome you were able to do 32 degrees, theirs other types of cold (might as well add in heat0 exposure to give a whirl... Keltie o'conner ran through a month of cold exposure and discovered cryo was the way to go for her, each person has their own way of doing things but theirs various forms you should try
Brave man. Well done video. Your adrenalized state at the end is palpable.

From what I was told you need to gradually warm yourself up to your normal core temp. Or you can get pretty sick if you don't. So be careful.
Awesome video! That were some truly Exhilarating views. Now I am getting that itch to try this too.
That is very impressive in such a short period :O
it's nice to get these longer ones sometimes.
and even a blog style of daily stuff would be good content. :) #bufflife
I was on the fence about this cold plunge stuff,.... but now the buff dudes have done it and I'm thinking I better give it a shot too
I did cryotherapy at like -175F, and my opinion I think it’s easier than doing cold plunge. Instead of submerging yourself into cold water and having the water on your skin, I believe the cold air is much easier and suitable. You warm up much faster, but your skin does sting when you do it.
That was awesome 🤙🏼
Trying it this week. I made it thirty seconds in 31 degree river water/ice today!😱🥶
Beautiful video! Well done!
I tried this in my pool as fall and winter came. The coldest I could tolerate was 60 degrees. Let me specify that I didn’t plunge, but swam laps. It takes much more energy to swim in colder water.
Fantastic video lads! Stay Buff!
Damn this episode so thriling, you are truly the goat👏👏🙌
I just started the vid, but from that first plunge... Box breathing would do wonders for that situation. And instantly going so cold alone is kinda sketch my guy.
Regardless, well fuckin' done! Now to watch the rest of the vid!
