What's up guys! I've had the ADV 150 for almost a year now and everything is stock, but I might upgrade things in the future and your videos and gear will be a good start. I recently did a video on the freeway where I could only hit 64mph, but in another video, I was able to feel that rev limiter kick in at 67mph. Maybe I gained a few pounds...it's quite possible. I weigh around 215 (solid muscle...jk) so that doesn't help. I like pizza. Anyhoo...I enjoy your content and keep it up! That's what she said. Later!

You should see how south east asian countries modify their motorcycles, these mad lads can make their low cc motorcycles run 110/115mph on top speed. Absolute madness

I just picked up the new ADV 160, what drive face and weights do you recommend? Id love a series on the bike to follow along and upgrade.
Upgrade to full Malossi CVT
My aerox came with same tire size as this ADV. I switched to smaller 100 80 14 Michelin pilot moto gp front and 120 80 14 Michelin city grip 2 rear. The smaller tires grip just as well as the larger oem size but are lighter with better transition and rolling resistance. I also added lighter wheels. I gained 10mph top speed on my bike, and im guessing you do the same on the adv you'll get about the same results.

Hi I just installed my S23 variator kit with 12g rollers that I got from y’all and I LOVE IT! I was able to hit 75.6 mph (navigation) and 76mph on the speedometer on a flat surface, 71 mph uphill against the wind.Every thing else is stock. I’m thinking about getting the NCY Clutch kit, my goal it to increase more torque and maybe increase top end without needing to tune. Is this a good combo for my goal?
Continued from earlier, To 45mph. It does this easy with no questions asked. I’m old school as I was taught If It Ain’t Broke Don’t Fix It.👍😀

Severe thunderstorms here in TN have kept me from riding my new ADV 🙄 getting really annoyed with our spring bipolar weather!
I’ve come back and watched this video a bunch 👍🏻 definitely gonna mod out my ride! I’ve got to learn how to work on it, meaning I may wait before putting in an order for the variator once they’re back in stock since I need Honda to work on it for me for at least a year haha!
yeah we had 79 degree day and 3 days later it snowed it rarely snows here and its snowed for the last week. its never this cold in April
@@Scooterswapshop Honda Scooter Technician here. So for adv150 you can ask the dealer to change Second Mode of the ECU (must be original one) or Third Mode. Whats the diff? So basically its for climate change or geography reason. I shall recommend u to switch to third/second mode for winter.

Was that with tuning? Installed the Yuminashi variator I purchased from you and it alone is a game changer! Road down the coast on I-5 from LA to San Diego and the ADV performed like a champ. I was in the right lanes for the most part but was cruising in the low 70’s and hitting upper 70’s almost 80 in downhill tucks.

Nice job fellas, the snap you have, is exactly what I'm looking for in take off. With a mallossi clutch and variator, what do you guys recommend for roller weights? I'm more interested in "Hole shot" top speed not that critical.
that's a yuminashi variator.... 12.5 is what we got with this setup but 15-17 if your more stock would be alright. I suggest getting a few sizes to tune it to your needs.

I know that a lot of people are waiting for a tuner, but I'm honestly waiting big bore, head work and throttle body. But still has to be tuned at the end of the day for best results. I really want to adventure bike this thing. Keep up with light and middle weight bikes. I have a yuminashi 164cc flat deck kit, but haven't installed it yet. Waiting to see your progress with this machine.
Yea if it was just my bike I’d go all out from the get go. But we want to do it in stages to see how far we can get at each option. That way we have data on what each item offers. We’ve got it on the dyno right now; with the tuner installed

I Saw a video of a mechanic saying some guys in Asia can fake the odometer to go at 80 mph .

Hey, could you guys make a quick video on the pros and cons to variator upgrades? Like, is there a reason why the manufacturer doesn't install them out of the box or why they limit top speed? Will the engine wear faster if it is revving higher normally? Are the maintenance intervals different? Do you need stronger belts? I think the maintenance and reliability questions especially would be good to know.

Stock variators are for country specific regulations for emissions and other BS. They are required to sell them new this way but YOU can do whatever you want after you buy it to get top speed and better takeoff. Rules were made to be broken in the scooter world. I plan to squeeze 80/90 mph out of my 1986 Elite 150 Deluxe. Japanese Honda circa 1980s are far superior quality to Taiwan Honda of today and can do much more than showroom stock.
Great Info there. see some grind the variator so the roller could go further. what keep me fm changing the roller is what is the torque for that nut on the variator as been searching around, could not find the factory torque. if u have, appreciate share.

I own a 2004 Vette which has never been in the shop with over 40,000 miles. There is a reason for this, I have left it stock and have not abused it. Others on U-Tube have cars on the lift repairing things constantly and not enjoying their cars. Making choices can be great or expensive.you choose. I just bought a new 2022 Honda ADV and love it as is. Planning on years of enjoyment.trouble free. Waiting for my break-in period of 600 miles to change oil. What do you recommend?👍🤔
what are you asking for recommendation on? your first mod? you said you haven't taken your vet to the shop and sorry we just aren't following what exactly you are asking. feel free to just call the shop or email we can get you set up with what you need for your ADV.
You aren’t making content. And this is a $4000 starting point. Live a little and have some fun, man.
You should try full programable ecu for the adv , its indonesian product called BRT JUKEN 5, its cheap (around 75$) and come with free tuning apps
We will likely try one. However I don’t have any trusted companies to buy from, so here there $300. And it doesn’t support a wideband so you never really know where fueling will be.

Purchased used 2007 Piaggio mp3 250IE I am rebuild it up! CVT upgrade variator kits doctor pulley slider 21x17 13.0g on quasar engine and rebuild clutch too!

hi Roy i had a MP3 500 sport 2014 in the UK, stock it was fast enough 100mph no problem, because Piaggio use a Honda engine i am sure it looks the same as the ADV engine, my son in the UK is looking for an engine to ship to me. ADV 500 Hum
Iridium sparkplug, ignition coil, accent wires, programmable ecu, straight 14g roller weights, the pulleys must be 14 degrees or 13.5 degrees in angle, and the torque drive too, 14t gear, and high air flow air filter.
Could you try the Etech pulley on the adv? It’ll give you more top speed. Also, you put 1,500 rpm on the center spring and 1,000 rpm on clutch springs. And upgrade to 64mm chrome bore block 🤘

Changing gear is like cheating on these honda scooters, the speedo is based on gearing and changing it means higher speed reading but almost same speed. Been there, it gives you the effect of higher speed but in gps, almost the same.
Also ther is no etech in the us, its just a rebranded pulley from a taiwan factory.

Amazing! Now, can we see Honda ADV 150 exceeds Yamaha R15 V3 power? Or is it possible for a scooter to be a sport bike like performance? What mods will it be to make this issue here in the Philippines keep saying it's a weak motorcycle, by the way I am satisfied with my stock Honda ADV 150 (2020) as of now, maybe soon I will do mods after my warranties expire. Thanks for the updates! RS always!!!
Warranties are pretty pointless these day on scooters of this caliber, and we dont have the yamaha here.

@@ArkiDanVids they are too slow for the US market unfortunately, no one would buy them. We can't even get a CB400 in the states which is a shame. Also could be some emissions regulations and cost of compliance etc... as well.

Last try? we replaced the fuel line and injector we can get you both we have them on order. call the shop we can get one set aside for you.
What's the bhp increase from stock?
we have a few videos on this the variator doesn't increase power just moves the power look at it like a sprocket change almost

So, the drive face fell off due to not being tightened. That’s got nothing to do with the product. And there’s literally no other product on the market that gives you 10mph, and especially this cheap.

well we HEAVILY disagree we like to do different things and make small things fast we like the tinkering and the fun of having stuff that you can't just go pick up stock just is fun we modify and swap stuff so if you like stock things we don't do anything that's stock of our own.

4 valves never heard of a adv with 2 valve maybe a OLD PCX...
Adv here in Philippines have 2 valves, we don't have 4valves.
@@Scooterswapshop They all have a SOHC and 2 valves. Only the new PCX160 has 4 valves.

I am disappointed in it, because it can't get on the highway like pcx150 in California.

with the upgrade would you say its safe to ride on the freeway for longer trips ? not with just the higher speed but is the acceleration good enough ?

Thats a decent top for adv. My weight is 160. So, i've only change the roller weights to 12 straight. My top was 73mph.

It’s basically a motorcycle. U need a motorcycle license to ride it. Why not just get a real motorcycle. Not hating just wondering. I have a Chinese gy6 125cc scooter and a 09 zx6r. I love both. I just wouldn’t spend all that money on an auto scooter.
I own several motorcycles, gsxr, husky 701, 1190 etc. we don’t do this cause they’re fast we do it because it’s fun. Once you ride a quick quality scooter you’ll understand!
