@@Chris-zg7ty Study how to build circular foundations and connect them. Build vertical swatches of building faces before applying it to the rest of the building. Don't be afraid to add angles to how things rise. Add small details like torches last. Eventually you can plan out what kind of 'room' you want to make, and design for motifs associated with that subject, like chest rooms or alchemy rooms. Being able to work your structure into the scenery takes a kind of understanding, and planning built up by intuition connecting these processes and ideas together.
Here is your permit. Seems everything is up to code. Just be aware that building so close to this swamp may result in an excessive amounts of water damage to exposed parts of the structure, and so long as you can maintain the proper level of maintenance you should be ok.
I've seen a lot of opinions on youtube on a lot of things. But this takes the cake for "legit" commentary and yeah, just legit. I didn't fall out my chair, but literally choked on my drink at my desk laughing at the legitness of this inspector code. This absolutely wins!
What I enjoy in creativity about your work with these builds is seeing as well understanding the methodology in how you went about it in my mind. I don’t need it explained. I can see, understand and conceptualize from watching you build and therefore understand how to also build whatever I’m building better. And that’s really the point from being inspired. Your an awesome builder in this game and many appreciate seeing that in time lapse.
As much as people want more ways to build, I think it's really nice to see just how creative people can get with what they're given. Its like having a limited collection of legos and being forced to deal with what you have, much more impressive.
Yeh makes you think more but I do want like triangle shaped floor bits so we can do nice looking circular floors without it all being imbedded and overlapping
The building in this game is just one of the best I have ever seen, period. It's easy to use, hard to master. It's by comparision quite basic. But incredibly versatile, so that you're able to build masterpieces like this.
I think it sucks. You shouldnt have to build abunch of other stuff like doors in order to place things where u want. You cant u place things underneath of an object. People create awesome stuff but up close it usually dont look that great because they had to use tricks and a bunch of clipping to get it to work. I seen a lot of visual stuff that bothered me and it seems like they forgot to add a couple pieces or something haha I have had a great time messing with it but it can be very frustrating and just feels lacking

Amazing work! Really loved the whole green aesthetic to the place. That bar was awesome (gonna copy some ideas from that) and your interior ceiling came out well. I bet that ceiling was a real ball ache to do as well. Well worth my sub.
thank you for this build video, it was so inspiring. i started a treehouse village on a similar swamp/meadow border, and found that using a couple layers of corewood for the base provided plenty of stability, for those who don't want to futz around with a forge (though i did eventually build one for supports under a hearth).
Seeing amazing builds like this remind me that I have exactly zero creativity when it comes to building. All of my structures end up being rectangular boxes essentially.
Don't worry dude, think of these as tutorials of some kind, you can take bits and pieces from this dudes builds, and apply them to your own, that way you will start to learn. It's the same as using other artists as reference when learning to paint or draw

Rain causes a constant de-buff to your character, and our treehouses made of wood. I spend time doing 'chores' which is running around repairing the wood structure that forever decays under constant swamp rain. this game is brilliant

You couldnt pay me enough Rubys to live in the swamp. One of the most terrifying experiences in gaming when you're waist deep in water, leeches chomping around you, stamina falling, and nighttime hits. It is as close to pitch dark as Ive seen in a game when you're deep into a swamp without any outside light from the moon, etc.
Magnificent. Galadriel would be impressed. I happened to have fallen two trees which lodged into the branches of several trees twice, not too far from each other. I am now working on a massive tree house structure spanning quite a distance, and it's still close to my U shaped beachfront high wall, of my main base. I have decided to build rock mounds up a bit to place all my support pillars on. Got to have my Black Forest Beach Front View though. I appreciate the cool building tips from your Masterpiece.
Over the past day or so I've watched almost every video of yours and I'm getting inspired to start my own project, based on one of yours. My favorites have to be the Mountain Outpost, the Black Forest one and the Blacksmith's House. The only problem is I'm still stuck in the Bronze Age, so no cut stone or iron supports for me. At least not yet. I'll have to improvise. In short, thanks for the list of amazing videos of amazing builds. I can't wait to be able to build my own. 😍
You've encouraged me to start my next build right on the edge of a swamp. I know a great location for one on my map that is right next to a narrow meadow and that too is next to the plains. :)

Man this is awesome. I have a swamp base built under a large rock I carved out in the hillside with one of these tree's just off to the side of the entrance, this has gave me a bit of inspiration for what to do with it now xD
I really hoped after Minecraft died out that I'd play a game just as good one day. Then I saw Valheim release one weekend when I wasn't drowning in university projects, and thought what the hell, I need a good survival game. Little did I know I found my new Minecraft... Valheim: The Grownup Minecraft. This build confirms my feelings.

Stone and iron beams reset where the ground is. So if you use stone or iron beams its how you get your roofs not to cave in. Engineering doesn't work in this game at all. I had the same issue till I figured it out. Supports are just for looks.
@@imududeplaynududedisguisedasa- oh wow. Dang. I was doing the whole support system because I thought it was accurate. Also I havnt made my way up to stone masonry yet. We are 3 islands out of our spawn and still no biomes except black forest and meadow and mountain.
@@kikiohearts haha. I totally get that. I spent like 4 hours trying to support my portal building. Then figured it out. Use the longest possible beams. Like core wood for height if you don't have iron or stone cutter It tracks how many ATTACHMENT pieces there are!
@@vetlive3669 actually i think if you built the ladders slightly above ground they wouldn't be able to climb it, then you could just do a little hop up everytime

Honestly, this is one of the best games I think I’ve ever played. My only complaint is that there’s no magic we can learn. (To my knowledge, I’m currently hunting the 3rd boss). I would absolutely love if we could mine runes, RuneScape style and obtain magic from that. Man, that would be next level.
Perhaps someday...the game still in early access yet there are already millions buying the game. Just be sure to give a shout out to the dev of your opinion, I'm sure many share your views and desire... including me...😝

Curved stairs would be a huge improvement for later game stages.
It would be a massive improvement even for early game
You can do it with beams, but it's labor intensive.

This is still less work than making sure the ground is even for a regular house.

I don't like to go up stairs for everything, including many walks up and down for processing metals and not being able to use a cart..

Trees actually keep the roof from collapsing. It counts as foundation, giving support.

oh, these are ladders. not sure if the bad guys can climb ladders.
