John was one of the most detailed, passionate, and helpful leading figures in physique & weightlifting. I’m so glad his legacy & impact still lives on today with this channel and his team. RIP John - you have helped me so much
I get what people are saying … “it is like he never left” “Almost like he still lives on” I know people are positive. But i think people should really take a moment to realise this man has passed. It is tragic. But he was clearly so motivated and driven in his field that he has gifted all of us this material even after death. It shows how hard working, and driven this man was. Much respect and love for the family and whoever continues this channel. Stay good
I discovered this man a little while ago. I must say two things: The value of the knowledge he gives me is huge, the videos are excellent all around. It really saddens me to learn that he has passed. He’s someone I’d take as a role model. I just hope his family benefits from the legacy he’s built up.
John was right about laughing during a hard set. I mean, I wouldn't recommend a belly laugh when you're in the middle of a set of heavy squats (for obvious reasons), but laughing on the inside as you crack a grin? That totally helps with the pain! Plus, people think you're a badass because laughing at pain - as if to say, "Is that all you can throw at me?" - is the kind of thing badasses do. RIP Mountain Dog.
Mike from Elk Grove California age 63. I'm soo happy u put this video out on Recovery/Fatigue. Hopefully you've seen my most recent successful lift on TH-cam "335 lb Decline Bench Press Age 63 Wt 189" My point is this, I have numerous. Medical Condtions: Full Spinal Disability, Brain Tumor, COPD, Acute Poly Phoriattic Arthritis, extensive coronary heart disease. I'm doing everything to fight and stay healthy with all these ailments. But I'm sooo happy to hear you say, and I highly agree, that its "TRUE", you dont have to do excessive sets on muscle groups, I know cuz It works. I have to listen to my body, and I only workout 3x weekly alternating muscle parts on specific days, and working out every other day so my muscles can recover and my body.
mannn im new to the body building world and was watching a ton of his videos for good tips not knowing he's passed. and i was like started to really like this guy. Then I found out and I fr feel like when Kobe died bruh. finna be getting a pump in today for my dawg rip!
If I had bad muscle soreness due to a workout. I notice an extra 2 hours of sleep for a few nights and very light workout the next day in that muscle group to get the blood flowing really helps it feel much better.
I love the last fact that you gotta laugh more, hearing that from someone whos already passed away kinda made me realize that theres always gonna be shit things happening for example his passing which at first is quite sad but now I still watch his videos and kinda laughed how he went from diet to ”eyy just laugh more“ and even moreso have rather a positive reaction to his videos So whats to take from the video? Live a heathy lifestyle, not just physically but mentally too because sometimes the mental aspect is more important than the physical.
notice how he didnt talk about expensive massage gun? he could have give us is refferal link for a shitty product, but no, he just give the best advices for free
On the laughing thing. I made the mistake of letting myself laugh in the gym once and I was soo tired, I went into a laughing fit and fell off the equipment I was on. That only made me laugh harder.
That crazy headache that won’t go away even with medication because you fried your central nervous system is no joke. Gotta learn where the ceiling is to get it dialed in and trust the road is rough. 😂
I much prefer heavy weights! Not just that but you have to work the fast twitch fibers as well, so you have to work those fibers. That is only thru heavy weights and low reps! Guys, do a blend of both. Light weights I have always found to be a waste however
Thank you to whoever is keeping the channel alive. His legacy lives on through us all
But how are there so many pre shooted videos
@@yashrajsingh4215 John did TH-cam videos regularly for years. I’m sure there is quite an archive to pull from. 🤔
@@yashrajsingh4215 It is reuploaded. The video was originally uploaded in 2020 titled "7" Things that are **KILLING** Your Recovery
@@ClassicPCgamers that's weird, re-uploading old videos seems weird if they we're un posted videos then it would have been good.

I love the Spiderman venom with the Christmas village.
laughing is true. really helps during that after set part haha.
very interesting information
💯💯I appreciate the premise of this video about stress management.
The last minutes where so so nice because he is telling us just to laugh more
My cats that wake me up in the night are my number 1 :)
I try resting between sets around 45 sec for each rep. But for deadlifts I think I’m going to wait longer.
What kind of carbohydrates can you recommend?
He is dead😥.
However slow digesting, moderate and fast digesting all have their time and place. Fast carbs are good before workouts.
RIP John
Hi John, have a good day!
