Sorry to hear your puppy had to undergo surgery. I hope it’s all clear sailing now that the cancer has been removed. I like to get up before the rest of the family too. Just a more peaceful way to start the day! I think your fabric is quite pretty and your dress should be beautiful when finished.

So sorry about your dog Sally. I can definitely relate as my dog has been having some health issues and is now 12. he does need a lot of care and sometimes it is hard to concentrate on a sewing project! Enjoyed the chatty Vlog. I love yoga with Adriene. She is the best! The Atelier Jupe patterns are a little confusing. The fabric you are using for your Tilde dress is a really nice print and looks lovely so far.

I made the Tilde last week. I agree the cutting out was awkward & figuring out the lines was a headache. But i do like the Atelier Jupe patterns, it’s worth the head scratching.
Yes I have to say I love the pattern now it’s made and would like to try another of there’s. It’s a great way to print the patterns really but I can’t understand why it’s not explained

I just finished my first Atelier Jupe Tilde Shirt Dress and have a second one planned already. I have the fabric washed and line drying. Your dress will be so pretty in that fabric. I also enjoyed hearing about your daily routine of Bible reading, journaling and yoga. I also enjoy doing "Yoga with Adrienne". Her videos are great. I need to do them more frequently though. Your Tilde looks like it will be beautiful Sally. I do hope your wee furry pal stays well, my family love our dog so much. He has been such a gift to us. Enjoyed hearing all your life chat, it is always good to share if it feels good to do so. I have got better at slow sewing & find it really improves my makes. To slow myself down I have a craft project on the go as well as a garment. This way if I need to keep sewing I have the crafty thing to pick up. It’s working so far, my Christmas bunting is almost done. 😂

Hi Sally 👋 Your poor doggy 😔 Mine had exactly the same operation (but on his side) 6 weeks ago and with the same result. Ben cannot bear those collars and we were able to buy him a “medical pet shirt” which is a stretchy all in one body type affair. It worked a treat and kept his shaved bit cosy. But my goodness, you have had your hands full these past weeks and it’s good to see that you are starting to get back to your routine. I have the Tilde all cut out and ready to sew, so I’m watching your progress with a vested interest 😆 Your fabric is really pretty. I particularly enjoyed your new format of video Sally. Really interesting and I look forward to Sunday. X

Hope your pup is feeling better. How stressful a time you've had. My dog Charcoal, who is nearly 14 years old, was recently diagnosed with Melanoma. We're just enjoying our time together and he's definitely enjoying the extra love and special homemade meals. Love your channel...truly a favorite of mine.

I really enjoy your videos. I sewed a bit in my 20's specifically due to being tall with longer legs and all the trousers were made too short! Well all these many years later, I am sewing for myself again. Thank you for all your sharing and talking about what you making and details on changes you may make and sizing. I really hope your sweet dog fully recovers quickly and they got it all. 🙏 Will be traveling to England to visit with my daughter and family after Thanksgiving and staying for a couple of weeks.Will be looking for some fabric to make something when I return to North Carolina. Hi Sally. I don't know if it will help or not, but while I was watching you struggling with your fabric, I remembered that when I was little, my mom used to dip a piece of white cotton in a vinegar water mixture to do her pressing with. That was back in the 1960's when polyester was the fabric of choice, and you had to press a crease down the fronts of the legs of your trousers if you wanted to look put together. Mom always had perfect creases, so the vinegar water must have done something to set the creases in polyester.

I do have to admit that I agree with the cutting out part, always wondering if you've cut out the right size based on measurements. I do love [atterns that have the layers feature of the pdf that gets rid of the lines you don't need.
