- DISCLAIMER: I opted to play it in drop G# rather than drop A so that I didn't have to move up an octave on a few critical riffs, as the song's originally played by Eddie in drop E. Some still require me to transpose up, yes, but I felt this was the best compromise. (This was also my approach for 'Unholy Gravebirth.')
Alas, here's a very popular track from Infant Annihilator's 2012 debut 'The Palpable Leprosy of Pollution.' At a brisk pace of 260 bpm, this one's a blast to play and includes some of my fastest picking to date; y'all know which section I'm talking about. I also threw in a few tapped runs starting at 3:20, just for fun. Enjoy!
Tuning: G# D# G# C# F# B

Killed it man. Totally insane especially the parts with the tapping, and that ending riff always forces a headbang out of me

@@LindenPoirier i do have one question i want to play 6 string bass but is it better to start on a 4 string
@@Skeletorn Good question! I started on a 5-string since I'm really into metal and that worked out well. I think doing that is a good compromise. You cooould start with a 6, but there would be a ton of songs you start with (this, even) that don't require a 6th string, not to mention the added cost up front, getting used to techniques, the added weight of the bass itself, etc. So, I'd personally recommend 5 but 6 is also a viable option, and 4 would be alright too if there's a lot of stuff you plan on playing that only requires 4 strings. I think if you're a metal guy, you're gonna want that low B string pretty early on though.
@@LindenPoirier thanks alot man
@@Skeletorn Anytime!
Planning to cover something like Behold The Kingdom, Feast Ov Goreglutton, and The Kingdom Sitteth? Also which album's songs are harder to play in your opinion?
Not too sure, but maybe Swinaecologist! And The Battle of Yaldabaoth is by a mile.
Настоящие басисты скрейч по струнам делают ногтями\m/
I tried that but it didn't resonate as well as with metal, I'll keep that in mind though!
Why didn't you use instrumental version?
If you have trouble with the singing , just see it as another method of instrument , added enhance to the song , or whatever reason for your mind to enjoy the song
I saw no need to cut out the vocals since they don't interfere with the frequencies of the bass and would not affect the copyright status. I also just like how they sound more. Appreciate the question though!
