Yeah I think her sister and family trying to piggyback off of her tiktok success is only bringing her more hate as people blame her for the rest of her families antics and gets a lot of teasing over the bits they ask her to do.
She's famous for doing Tik Tok dances, just let her do that. Stop trying to make her into a reality tv star/celebrity.
Realistically if she's really passionate about dance they should be focusing on her dance lessons and a dancing career. More music videos and back up dancing, less podcasts and family vlogs.
Otherwise, when her audience grows up or tiktok loses popularity, she won't have a career to lean on.

I think part of her appeal is her “average” lifestyle that is actually in no way average. Her family lives in a million dollar home and she goes to a rich kid school. Everything in their world looks good and is expensive. Their hair, nails, and clothes are always on point. I think this is a fantasy lifestyle for a lot of kids, who were primarily her fan base. Her parents are happily married, which right away puts them ahead of 50% of families in the US. It seems like a normal life, but in reality it’s not. Most people have some kind of bullshit going on in their world. Most of us don’t have that kind of money or lifestyle. And even if we do we don’t have parents that seem as great as theirs. It’s almost like watching a Disney channel show in some ways. The seem to live in this perfect world where everything around them is like a set for their videos, polished and nice. I think it’s a kind of escapism for a lot of kids

Unpopular opinion: Charlie just wanted to make TikTok and be a kid (rich or not) and the adults in her life saw the opportunity to capitalize on her fame. She may have been complicit and enjoyed the lifestyle and company she got to meet, I’ll give you that, but the ones who pulled the trigger was undoubtedly her parents and manager. The glitz and glamour of fame is always appealing until you’re in the middle of it and you have 10 different people in your ear telling you what to do next and you’re schedule is packed and you have no time for normalcy or privacy. Her sister Dixie (through envy or jealousy) wanted what Charlie has but I think Charlie would’ve been fine just being TikTok famous without brand deals and collab and went about her life, until the world moved on to the new sensation. Her folks definitely pushed her to do more and cash in on vapid mediocrity rather than develop her dancing skills and launch off of that. She would’ve have made a fine choreographer and made bank on that had to she stayed the course. I’m no fan of her or do I follow her (I don’t even have a TikTok lol). My 2 cents 😅

Let’s be honest the construct of fame has completely diminished in this aggressive social media era. On one hand you can see someone rise to “fame” in an instant and for virtually no reason . On the other hand this notoriety is fleeting since the market is so over saturated . There is so much pressure to adapt one’s fame into something legitimate . If they can’t they will fade into obscurity again.

Didn't a rep from the TikTok company say they "picked" (or a similar word) the D'Amelios from the data they had on them. It elevated them in the algorithm. They had the looks, family, came from a certain neighborhood, etc. They also hid/hide overweight, ppl of color, low income ppl, and unattractive people from the algorithm. I don't know if they still do that. But I remember seeing that interview and the response to a q from a rep to something like "do you manipulate the algoritm" and tiktok laughing and saying of course.

The damage they’re doing to their brand won’t help with sustaining cash in the long run when nobody watches them anymore. i'm a former dancer and i follow a few dancers on tiktok who post videos of their choreography/performances/rehearsals and you can tell how hardworking and talented they are. it kind of sucks that charli (who was likely fairly talented in her actual dance classes if she's been dancing for most of her life) rose to fame with the subpar "dancing" we all know her for. i guess when some people realize they're getting an absurd amount of popularity and wealth without putting in the effort typically associated with their craft, their artistic integrity and passion goes out the window. that said, for someone who does nothing, she attracts such a massive amount of hate. that can't be easy for anyone, let alone someone as young as her when she first started.

This family is exactly how I feel about the Kardashian’s, talentless, annoying brats. But honestly I don’t blame them for there fame, I blame the viewership and the corporations to think they had somewhat of a talent to have a career. They are the soul reason to why young teens abuse TikTok to get to that fame, obviously with little to no success. The only credit I do give to these sisters is they know they’re not gonna make it far no matter what they try too do, so let’s hope they don’t result to how majority of other women are getting famous and that’s a platform I wouldn’t be surprised if they use it as an option as they try so hard to “keep famous”.

When I first clocked on this video I didn’t think I’d be able to watch it although way through because of how long it is. But I did and it also felt short. They did a good job at making this video and keeping audience engaged.

Its always extra annoying when an already privileged person is handed the world, while so many of us are killing ourselves to still be broke and struggling.

i think crying is a pretty fair reaction when thousands of people, some probably being grown ass adults tell a child to go hang herself. Like even if they were being rude how the hell is that a normal reaction to a teenager doing teenager things. Also her wanting to hit 100 million is completely understandable, if anyone was in that position they would want to hit that milestone when they are so close.
I'm no D'amelio fan but all these 'controversies' are just minor incidents, people need to chill the hell out

People being famous and obtaining riches for nothing should bother you because it means that many people who work hard for their dreams don't get a shot. They make hundreds of millions for nothing so that you can work hard for little pay and can't even shoot for your dreams.

@@MisaamanenoirThat's just the jackpot in social media. Someone that can barely read and write, lives in a very simple lifestyle can suddenly become a milionaire and famous. Just search "luva de pedreiro", a brazilian guy that became famous for one thing, scoring goals on his videos and yelling at the camera: "receba!". Nowadays he is meeting guys like Cristiano Ronaldo and Messi.

@Kaycakes it doesn't bother me simply because I didn't do what they did. I don't post on tiktok so why should I complain someone else get rich from tiktok? It's the same thing not to complain someone else get rich from the lottery when I never bother to buy lottery.
It's better not to be jealous of other people and just do what you like. I don't sing, I don't dance, I don't post in TH-cam or tiktok or Insta, I don't play sports, I don't create my own business, I don't hustle. These are all the things I consciously don't do, so why should I be jealous of people who do these things, try their best, and get lucky? Out of a million, only one person will get lucky doing these kind of things. I don't have the appetite for RISKS that's why I work salaried. I will never get rich, but I will be stable.
You look into yourself why are you so jealous with their luck? If you can't handle being unlucky, you better focus on stable salaried jobs not professions that focus heavily on luck.

Man, when people got mad at her for crying over death threats. That was too far. She’s a Fucking kid. She acts like a teenager because she is one, I may not like her but who am I to hate her? I’m not gonna ridicule and bully a kid knowing that they don’t have any clue how to navigate, especially navigating being famous!?
