Ive been running this set up for almost TWO YEARS NOW! So I think we were well overdue for a Rig Rundown and review on what we have done to the big Black Betty to our her into MY DREAM TOURING RIG!

Awesome vid Liv! Very concise rundown of Black Betty for sure. Using the dog box for wet gear so they don’t stink out the rest is genius, can’t believe I didn’t think of it before! Also I’m running the same Wedgetail roof rack haha
With the bash plates, how is underbody cleaning post trips on the beach? Do you find you need to remove them for a deep clean?

The baseplates are fairly easy to get under and clean post trips mate! You can easily get a pressure washer up in there.

Hey guys. Just a question about your bullbar and winch combination. I also have a 2022 Dmax with the same AFN bullbar. Do you have any problems accessing the winch neutral lever through the small grill in the front of bar - If so, how did you resolve the problem? - Great looking truck. -Cheers

Thanks legend! Im so proud of what we have been able to do with this build! The suspension in the rear is currently the 500kg tough dog leafs. So far its handled the set up well but we are looking at upgrading very soon.

Awesome setup! Was it only the snorkel and airbox for the tune?
Yeah mate, and an in-house fab exhaust! ! We also did a Base run on the dyne prior to installing the snorkel and air box and we found adding the snorkel airbag and exhaust helped us gain an extra 5hp, not a whole lot but it still helped!
so with your roof tent do you always have to put the awning away as it covering the ladder at the back?
Na mate, The awning has adjustable straps. So when we are climbing up into the tent, you just loosen it clip up and then re tighten once you're up in the tent.

Hey guys what weight is it at Gmv and what was the rough price for the mitts canopy set up?? As it sits with the dog box draws and under rear king draw and pantry etc
aha the million dollar question! we actually weighted her not too long ago and she sit just under 3tonne fully loaded. We have been super conscious with the weight of mods while building her so im happy where she is sitting atm.

We fitting / sorted our suspension once we had the canopy (most of the weight) on the car. That way we could set the suspension up properly or how we wanted to suit the weight and application 😄

How about the fuel consumption after remap.? Km/L.?
After the tune she is currently sitting at 11ltrs/100kms fully loaded which I’m so happy with! We have done over 100,000kms in her now and she runs like a dream!

How much have all the mods and accessories cost so far ?
that's a scary question mate haha but tom and I sat down a few months ago and tried to work it all out and overall I think its around the 90k mark, give or take.

What size tires and do you have to chop anything for them to fit
Currently running 305s, all I had to trim was the inner front and rear guards for the front tyres but I didn’t have to touch the body mount or anything 😄

Hey mate! I think originally off the top of my head my set up was quoted up for about 25k? (don't quote me on that as they have had a price increase last financial year) But that was without the 12v set up included as we had a mate do ours. If you after a more accurate quote just head to the link in the description to get an idea for the set up you want.
What a great set up looks great the only thing is the price. The canopy from Mits alloy 30 grand they are great but the average worker can't afford it. Keep it real we don't all own our own company's so we can buy the top range stuff. Get back to 4wd and spear fishing.
Most of vloggers get free stuff so everything is “great” for them no surprise
Thank you But in no way am I saying that Mits is the only tray and canopy company out there mate. at the end of the day Its up to you and what people want to run. Each to their own opinions.

Honestly wouldn't change a thing! a lot of thought and planning went into how I wanted my 4WD and im stoked with the results.
Did you get gvm and frame strengthening.... it's needs both... especially the frame strengthening or you'll get 2 half cars 🤣
na mate atm she's sitting under the GVM and im stoked with how this set drives and performs on all our trips!

@@THISISLIVN I have a Spacecab Dmax tourer with oem alloy tray and canvas canopy and all the fruit and I don't tow. I am at 3.2T with full water and fuel. I have a 3600kg GVM and 7000kg GCM. I find it hard to believe you are under OEM GVM. Nice unit though.
@@ausguy4385this is a new model mate, it's the last model that had an issue with panel cracks in the front. As for the chassis bending at the rear Ive seen one photo of a bent dmax...one of the strongest ute chassis out there
