Reverse knees are so cool, gives me MGS vibes. Turn x is another unique design from gundam that I absolutely love. Almost gives me an insect vibe, but in a cool way if you could imagine that lol.
honestly ippei gyoubu designing this has easily made this rocket to the top of my favorite Kyoukai Senki design yet. Haven't picked up a kit from the line yet but this might get me to jump in.

It looks a LOT like the upcoming 30 Minute Missions Spinatia command type thing!! Red, shield, high heels, two horns, etc!!
I think that "Nyuren" is made of the Chinese words, "Niu" (Ox) and "Ren" (person). So essentially, the AMAIM's name is probably "ox person/humanoid ox".
Basically, a Minotaur which is pretty ironic considering how lanky this thing looks .

I've been so hyped for this kit, I couldn't stop gushing over this design in particular while watching Kyoukai Senki with my buddy.
This design reminds me of the robot grunts ( Gorgies) in Vanquish, and the fast red robots from Binary Domain, mainly the color scheme
Is it just me, or do those arms look reminiscent of some the old G-Reco kits? I'd love to see a newer Mack Knife or Elf Bullock with those improved limbs.
They are all designed by the same designer, Ippei Gyoubu. His style is easily recognized.

@@jasoncarter3182 the name of hobby is model kit and gunpla is one of the many model kit so the kyokai senki line wasn't a gunpla
@@petrusdimitrilarantukan7678 To expand on the subject the more commonly accepted Japanese nomenclature for non-Gundam models would be Plamo, short for Plastic Model. Admittedly Gunpla (Gundam Model) falls under Plamo but is such a large part of the industry that they're often given their own category and can frequently be used interchangeably with most mecha model kits due to how Bandai and Gundam has dominated the Japanese hobby market for the last forty years.
Sorry for being a bit of wind bag, I'm super excited to see where this hobby goes from here. Non-Bandai kits have been getting way better the last few years and Bandai themselves have been really upping their game.

The evolution of hg kits are quite a ride
Those legs are giving me some strong Elite vibes, especially the spike coming off the top knee, very reminiscent of Halo 1 Elites and I love it.
I really like the slightly awkward proportions!

i would love to order some more kits like this of hobby link japan but i am still weighting for my gundam gremory to arrive hope it restocks soon so i can grab a bunyip along with the transport truck
the head looks like the two horned shiden head from the ibo option kit basically a slimmer shiden
i think when it comes to modern bandai gundam kits you can compare these too with all new parts. some of build divers re:rise kits are all new and the Hathaway flash kits as well

I dont mind if Bandai wont produce FM of the other Main Character suits. But this, they definitely need to make an FM of this.

I now remember these guys as the GMs of the Kyoukai Senki universe. They're getting trashed by everyone, even by the Bunyip Boomerangs.

I don't know why but it gives me a Tieren Taozi and Shiden vibe. One thing I noticed tho is the lack of shoulder armor. I think it will look more cool of it have shoulder armor.

The head reminds me of macross' valkyrie style head, the legs also have good articulations and are capable to simulate both the gerwalk and battroid mode if posed correctly, so would be useful for my kitbashing project.

Anyone know if these weapons fit/work with the HG Gundam kits as well? I know these are 1/72 and Gundam is 1/144 but I was curious if I could use the rifle and axe from this kit with a Gundam I had in mind.

besides an army builder would range from $12 to $18 per kit and that's a rare find these days. as most kits start around $24 - $25.

I wasn’t really a fan of this kit when I first saw it tbh, but this is just AMAZING!
because the front of the feet has armor, and the ''heel'' is black like the frame, the legs give off a sort of hooved feel, like a satyr (mythological man with goat horns and goat legs) and with the design of the legs at the knees, this may have been the idea, but they added the black part behind the hoof for stability, instead of a clear part like the bunnyhop boomer rang

Certainly is an IO frame shiden look a like. It's like the Shiden was upgraded into this quick-flexible type look. It even has a gund like Shiden and an axe from the Graze

A really cool grunt with articulation better than the ones in the anime. ;)
NGL, despite the faction this mech belongs to (which is why I thought this makes a good punching bag for my other kits), the kit as well as the mech looks really cool.
Not the biggest fan of the suit itself but the accessories look so good, especially the rifle.

Only gripe i have about this are the shoulders, they just look so bare compared with the rest
Man, can't shake the image of Sonic from OPM when I see this thing's figure. Slim with some thick thighs, this need a black/purple recolor and the straight sword for a hilarious custom

Dude you have to get the Full Mechanics 1/48 scale Kenbu. Same great kit just giant size. Literally dwarfs the others. Pretty much Sazabi size in relation. Has clear parts which just adds to the awesomeness.

So are these mecha unmanned? The earlier designs like the Byakuchi, Kenbu etc all have an elongated backside whereas this one is very slender and compact [I quite like it actually, but it would be a plus if they have a pilot aboard]. The feet look weird but in a good way: it feels off, like it shouldn't work but it does [I can't quite put my finger on it].
A bit late but basically, in the Senki, most if not all mechs are unmanned. Meaning they have a tactical A.I.. There's a few occasions where actual commanders/soldiers do pilot these unmanned mechs to where it's modified with an actual cockpit. So they can be on field with the unmanned and still command them for orders. The series protagonists mechs though, are all manned. Even the rebel(?) mechs are manned as well
