Every Borowski trial, ever. Although "don't get brazen with me" is a close second.

The judge who was concerned about witness intimidation was my favourite and I think he was appropriate in his discussions with all the people involved. He is a good judge.
When someone begins a sentence with "with all due respect" you can expect to be disrespected.
The American government got many people to hate me ( Targeted me) yet it was ok when my people in Bosnia suffered and our women and girls got raped,(i dont hate on Serbian and American girls at all ❤️) ( i want to add ✌️) I just hate unfairness,evil people,being called ugly when it is not my fault,played,lied to,and sadly mostly Bosniak girls,my own kind did me like this…….I dont hate America and never did a thing to the nation,but i seek some kind of justice . I used to be cared for,loved,adored even,respected ,by enough of girls,but enough also gave me hate,i need the love and i will add I’m against devil worshiping. I can’t tolerate pure evil losers.
Yes! I hate the phrase… it’s use as a way to give permission to insult someone.
Yep, it's right up there with "I don't mean to be a jerk, but..." or "No offense, but..."
Some people you have to respect but they don't deserve it.

That Judge was completely wrong, the judges have control of their courtrooms and that is it, any lobbies or hallways can be recorded, every judge that I have seen that has tried to control the building has failed.
@@Thorndog Pursuant to SLR 3.181, prior authorization must be obtained in order to take photographs or videos in all courthouse public space. For permission to use cameras on court facility premises, but not in a courtroom, you must contact the Office of the Presiding Judge. But hey, i'm sure you know better then a presiding judge and the written law.
Scoffing at the judge and going "tsk, who you pointing at? I'm a grown man" is probably one of the dumbest things I've seen in a court cam.

Legit. Last time I was in front of a Judge I was the complainant and I was sweaty af and had to be given water repeatedly and I kept stuttering, and standing up and sitting down at the wrong times and the bailiffs loled at me repeatedly.
Hardest human I ever met was a little old lady, back in the 90s when I was a juvenile offender.
Horrible, entitled women. It's a nation in decline.
Last judge was super tough and very terrifying. He didnt let his frustration speak out, but we saw how he delivered. A power judge for sure

For anyone who hasn't been to court yet, regardless of the crime or civil dispute, never, ever get cocky with a Judge. He has the power and you don't.
Most of them are left wingers and Marxist they don’t follow the constitution they break the law themselves their job is to give the defendant a fair trial. They can keep doing this for sometime but sooner or later the people won’t have it.

Judge Kyle’s calmness yet sternness reminds me of my dad. You can tell there’s something boiling underneath and he’s controlling it. Honestly, I’d rather just be yelled at because this kind of admonishment just makes you feel worse, somehow.
Schroeder was an incredible judge. The whole case from incident to completion was kind of a miracle - i.e. of basic slam-dunk American justice prevailing against a nation of absolute ghouls.

I have never been more intimidated by someone speaking in a perfectly level and controlled voice than by that last judge. That is a man who will see justice done, and will use every power in his considerable authority in that courthouse to make it so.
You don’t need permission to film outside a courtroom. That’s policy, not law.

Judges don’t know the law…filming in a courtroom is prohibited without prior consent but not in a courthouse or public lobby…policy is not law exactly you would be surprised how many judges don’t know the law….hearings are by law meant to be open to the public transparent…judges enforce how a case is heard i relation to the law that’s it….

No matter where you stand on the Rittenhouse case, I think we can all agree that Thomas Binger is one of the worst prosecutors they could have gotten.

He reminded me of someone that would be in an Adam Sandler movie.
It's hard to argue malicious intent and guilt when there's a clear video showing the opposite. Binger charged Rittenhouse strictly for political reasons. There's no reason he should still be allowed his position as a prosecutor, as he's clearly proven he has a bias.
Binger is evil and malicious. It was nothing but a political show trial and he should be permanently disbarred and sitting in a prison for life.

My sister is a small claims court judge (along with her practice). She said that it is great to be able to call people out, put them in their place.
Yeah, it’s great watching a judge go off when it’s warranted. It’s also infuriating watching them go off, because they just enjoy the power & control.

@Ur momz a hoe kaylz The Judge was trying to get to the bottom of who was videoing people arriving and leaving his court room including possible witnesses and why? Video recording is forbidden in a court building unless special permission is granted. It could be seen as witness intimidation which is a BIG no no.

@Ur momz a hoe kaylz Well basically, filming in and oustide of a courtroom is illegal unless given permission by the juge or some authority and the man was filming people leaving the courtroom, witnessess to be more precise which is even worse. The reason this is hightly illegal is pretty obvious, you dont know why he is filming, it could be for the person who is in trial to take revenge on people testifying against him and other various reasons. (sorry for my english it is not my native language)

You could feel Judge Kyle frustration at people not following simple court rules and dealing with their bs especially when it comes to witnesses and possible tampering

I got reprimanded by a judge. The DA was questioning me and thought if he kept asking the exact same question over and over he might get something other than the truth out of me. I answered the exact same way for the umpteenth time. The DA frustratedly muttered, "you keep saying that" and I retorted, "you keep asking that".
It's really annoying to be up there getting harassed by a government agent and forced to treat them with a level of respect they aren't required to show toward you.
It's like how you're supposed to treat your parents. They can be trash, but you're still expected to respect them and not argue with them. That's just the law of the courtroom that you have to follow.

I think that's just on TV. It was ridiculous in real life. My defense attorney literally read the statute that would have proven that even if the story the detectives made up was true, I couldn't be charged with the crime. The victim in the case came in and described his actual assailant who was there, but said his name was my name. He even said under oath that the detectives told him to pick a guy he'd never seen (me) out of a photo lineup. None of that stuff mattered to the court. They told me I did not qualify for a public defender and my constitutionally guaranteed "reasonable bail" was $80,000. I was 20 years old, had never had any violation more than a speeding ticket and got railroaded by a politically motivated district attorney.
You can learn a lot about the justice system if you find yourself on the wrong side of bad police and a crooked DA.

Binger was the most hilarious. Literally ignoring 5th amendment protections. And he's a lawyer! Incredible. Even more shocking he has a career. After his conduct in that trial he should have faced bar competency hearings.
agreed - i had to pick my jaw up off the floor when he started off on that argument when the trial was happening and I was so happy when the judge finally put him in his place.

@@davidkeetz totally agree. I watched that whole trial when I wasn't at work and I was dumbfounded at the "why did he remain silent?!?" line of commentary. Absolutely shocking. Would have been an instant mistrial if he had been found guilty just for that alone.
For real! Binger's behavior in court really was alarming. It's so obvious he was provoking a mistrial because he knew he could never get a conviction. There have to be consequences for a play like that, not? The judge was amazing, trusting the jury like he did. He saved Rittenhouse's life. A mistrial with prejudice is not an acquittal.

There is a reason they are called "honorable" they're held to a high standard to protect justice as well as be civil and if they are found in violation of that there can be serious consequences.

Wow looking at these judges and then Penney Azcarate from Johnnys case my respect for Penney has gone up astronomically.
I've been in her court before. The discipline she learned as a Marine comes through in her handling. Very professional and calculating.
Right, she's so patient, calm, and try to not to offend anyone and at the same time puts everyone in their place.
Quite the opposite. She was calm but Penny let Heard's attorneys walk all over Depp's witnesses esp Rottenborn. She also did not instruct witnesses to answer Depp's lawyer's witnesses. She was neutral but she was way too nice and did not act like a Judge should. That may not be a popular opinion but that does not mean its not true.
@@SS-qp2ex I’m definitely inclined to agree with you after seeing Judge Schroeder and the others in this video keep firm control over the proceedings and what is allowed to be asked and answered. But is it possible the situation is different for her (Azcarate) since most if not all of these were criminal trials while JD’s is civil? I honestly have no idea. I’m a complete layman when it comes to legal etiquette and procedure.

I feel so bad for that last judge, the gentleman handling the filming in the courthouse. You can just FEEL his frustration, but he stays composed for so long.

Always respect the judge. Always. Even if they send you to prison. Disrespecting the judge will ALWAYS make your life worse. And it can always, ALWAYS get much worse than you can imagine.
Also, judges earned that respect, years of law school, then as an attorney, they earned their title. And it helps that you are nice to the guy who's job is to make sure your trial is fair (along with your attorney of course)

I was taught early on in my Criminal Justice course that Judges are the "law of the land" and they have the most power out of everyone inside a courtroom. You do NOT cross them or disrespect them, the course will not turn in your favor!

That last judge was intense. Quiet, calm, goal-directed, able to think rationally even when angry. A little terrifying. I wonder if he's military. Wouldn't want to be on his bad side.

Quiet angry is so scary because they aren't venting their anger, they're bottling it up to redirect it into something far worse than yelling. You could tell Judge Kyle suspected witness intimidation and was going to cut them down swiftly.
Gary Oldman's new career as a prosecutor isn't going so well.

Judge Kyle is a BAMF!!! Holy Cow!!! Talk about restrained aggression. You could see the anger boiling under his skin, but he remained poised. Professional!!!
Binger - I'd almost forgotten him lmaoo. Pointing a gun at the jury with finger on trigger, forgetting basic law (5th amendment), etc. Judge Schroeder did a good job reminding him.
He was just on a podcast saying that Rittenhouse cried fake crocodile tears and that no side or the jury found it convincing, among many other ridiculous claims. It was actually pretty funny!
The state should've had a competent prosecutor. Rittenhouse had good legal defense from people who support gun rights. It does look like he wanted a mistrial.

@Julie Snider They were discussing ideas and evidence that weren't permissible at the time yet could bias the jury regardless. It's one thing to ask jurors to disregard something they've seen/heard, but another thing entirely for those people to ACTUALLY forget or put aside those things.

That last judges reminds me of my father. He has a calm and articulate anger that builds a nerves wracking tension.. Combine that with the power/authority a judge or father has and it’s awful to experience.
It's how we all should be. I learned a lot from watching that particular clip.

The Honorable Bruce Kyle has SERIOUSLY earned my respect. I was a criminal court recorder for years, have seen all kinds of Judges do all kinds of things, but THIS is impressive. Good for you, Your Honor.

If I was a witness in a court case , I would feel threatened by anyone filming me as I was coming and going from a courtroom . In Australia , that is not allowed in the corridors or public spaces of the Court Building . It is allowed in the outside precincts .
Thats the way it is in the US in all most all states for the same reasons the judge stated. When you enter a courtroom there are signs saying, as the judge said, no videos allowed. While I havnt been to courtrooms in most states to ensure its true there it is a widely known rule. Lately there are the people doing so-called amendment audits where they go around to State and Federal properties with video cameras to "hold the employees accountable". Some places like Post Offices and Police Stations they can film in certain areas
Same here in the UK, it's illegal to film there, they have to draw sketches and etchings for the papers.

I don't know much about trials, but aren't Amber's lawyers in this case supposed to be incriminating with their questions towards Johnny? Or is it not normal to have those kind of attitudes?
@@micco35 You see, AH is the defendant and JD is The plaintiff (JD is the one who sued AH)...
The lawyers' main job in this case is to transform whatever their client says into something to defend and help their client at least...
In this case JD brought multiple EYE witnesses, audio recording; especially the one that AH admitted to hit JD, and pictures of himself (that even whenever he had interviews on TV, those scars and bruises can be seen and are present)
And on the other hand AH brought only one person who's allegedly an "Expert" to the court that NEVER EVER met JD in her life, and some pictures of herself with scars and bruises that have never been seen before by any witnesses (and some are pictures of JD when he was sleeping or was drunk OR picture of messy places that everyone including her can do the mess)...

You can tell that last judge feels as though people are bending rules and behaving in insidious ways that might obstruct justice and he isn't having any of it. His commitment to staying calm and poised despite how obviously he was boiling just under the surface I think is a testament to his belief in the way everyone in a court house should conduct themselves. Not even holding himself above that standard. I'm sure he did everything in his power to hold those two men accountable for potentially violating the safety of witnesses and the like.

I appreciate that even in his anger the judge in the first clip explained to the witness why only one person could talk at a time, it seemed like the witness only listened because he realized there was an actual reason why he had to wait to speak not just that he was being bossed around.

Full context for people who think Judge Schroeder was being 'unfair' in the Rittenhouse trial:
The video of Kyle sitting in a car talking about shoplifters was brought up in pre-trial motions, weeks before the trial started. I recall that he said 'I wish I had my AR' or something similar, while he and a friend were watching youths they thought were shoplifters. As the judge pointed out, this has nothing to do with the circumstances that occurred in Kenosha, and it would be a different story if he had said something like 'I wish I had my AR so they could attack me and I could shoot them'. Propensity evidence is evidence that shows a distinct character trait related to the crimes in question, and Rittenhouse did not have a history of shooting people or being violent, other than talking crap with a friend (which we all do), and getting involved with a fight his sister had.
Other evidence that came up in pre-trial hearings was the character of those people that attacked Rittenhouse. This was also disallowed, despite all three of them having criminal records. Rosenbaum alone had a serious record, including multiple counts of child molestation, and over 40 infractions in prison. Huber threatened his own family members with a knife, among other incidents, and Grosskreutz was charged with assaulting his own grandmother. These incidents were also disallowed from being introduced as evidence, and rightfully so. Rittenhouse was not aware of their personal history when they attacked him, and none of their previous crimes were comparable to what happened in Kenosha.
This was all settled, and the lawyers were instructed on this weeks before the trial. The only way any of these facts could be introduced in the trial, was if either side made a claim that contradicted those facts. This occurred at least twice during the prosecutions case. With Huber's aunt, she suggested that he was 'heroic', which possibly opened the door to his character evidence. With Rosenbaum's fiancee, the door was potentially opened about why he could not stay with her that night (he had a restraining order in place). On both occasions, the defence asked the judge to instruct the jury to leave the room, so they could discuss if the door had been opened, which is exactly how it's supposed to go.
In the case portrayed in the video, Binger tried to blatantly crowbar the shoplifting video evidence in, right in front of the jury, after he had been given instructions not to weeks before, and reminded of this earlier in the day. This was after he had already questioned Kyle's 5th amendment rights, again in front of the jury and he'd been chewed out for that. Either of these incidents are more than enough to force a mistrial, which is exactly what Binger was going for because the prosecutions case was in tatters, but this judge had already decided to let the jury decide this case, no matter what happened.
My point is, yes, it could look like the judge is being biased here, but there is no context. This chewing out became internet famous at the time, and of course the media and social media were all over it trying to make him look biased, but the defence did things exactly how they are meant to be done in the same situation, and there are no highlight videos of that because it's doesn't create outrage or clicks.

Judge Kyle is an example of someone wielding power in an intimidating but honest and controlled way. He knows what's right and wrong, and he will do his best to see that any injustices are brought to light. I definitely wouldn't want to be on his bad side.

I practice in the 20th circuit and have been before judge Kyle many times. The chief judge of the circuit (not judge Kyle) entered a standing administrative order requiring the permission of the judge before video is allowed anywhere in the courthouse. Judge Kyle explains that very clearly in the video, and there are lots of signs. Since he is not the chief judge, Judge Kyle was required to enforce the order, even if he didn't like it.

@Cal D (I can't find your comment anymore (I think my TH-cam app is acting up)) but I was on several conservative pages and they were all going off on the judge during the trial and including some of those misc random TH-cam pages that will appeal to right-wing conservatives and/or anti-liberals.
While CNN, was just creating just as much out of context clips and appealing towards the biases of their viewers (especially when he told the witness to answer the question of the DA).

@@cald1421 tbh, I never found out *because when the trial was happening, I was doing my best to stay away from propaganda from both sides so I can try to see if this case would (in my layman opinion 😂) be done fairly and so I would be able to hold an option that would be in line with the facts of the case and understand why the jurors (whether I agreed with them or not), would rule one way or the other.
So to reiterate my answer, I haven't found out why exactly except on conservative pages (both on TH-cam and Facebook pages), they seemed to feel like it was an unfair trial and I would see them share clips of the judge being biased.
So I'm actually in the process of rewatching the entire trial (*to an extent*). I saw some mention, which I understand is unrelated to the judge, prejudice of the jurors. So I'm currently watching the juror selection of the jurors who were selected.
After I'm done with that and the rest of the trial, I'm gonna try to find some of the conservative videos against Judge Peter Cahill and see what they were saying.
I'm sure the majority were mainly trying to poke holes in the prosecutors arguments and argue why he died of asphyxiation.
^but if it helps, unlike the Kyle Rittenhouse trial, I saw NOTHING positive about Judge Peter Cahill (on conservative pages/platforms) but ONLY negative.
