I plan on Sniping from distance while wearing the Black Knife Assassin Curias, using Concealing Talismans, the Bow Damage adding and Range adding Talismans, the Pulley Bow, Golem Great Bow, Jar Cannon, and a Shitload of Arrows.
Want to make fighting the non armored ones even easier? Just equip your favorite "normal" smithing stone type weapon with Raptor of the Mists, Claw Talisman, and stance breaking buffs. Every time they stomp, use raptors close to the foot that's not stomping, then do your strongest jump attack and behold, weakness. If it does the jump stomp, just back away enough, and raptor's the shockwave (or jump over it if you're confident).
Something of EXTREMELY important note: Hefty Furnace pots aren't the only thing able to do good damage when thrown into their heads, the hefty Fire pot can also kill them, just that it takes 6 to kill instead of 3. Absolutely saved my life when I had messed up and wasted too many of the Furnace pots to be able to kill one.
Guys using the incantation ancient dragon' lightning strike demolishes and stuns the golem quickly. Pair it with both the flocks canvas and faithful's canvas. Havent tested it with armored golems yet though.

I personally killed almost each golem in a different way, i ll list them below with a few tips builds and scenarios. I have never used pots on them i ve seen it and also i killed all the armored ones with the greataxe. Str- greataxe + wild strikes(literally broken rn ), rotten insignia milicent talisman godfrey icon shard of alexander and poise + consec hit dmg ramp in comb pot and it takes down the golem in max 2 mins Int- good ole comet of azur max magic build terra magica full magic talismans inf mana comb pot and it pretty much one shots the easier golems with a little more effort for the harder ones Dex- this one sucks tbh, it is not really a fast way for this but what i found to be the fastest is max stamina talismans and consec hits dmg ramp up with x2 katanas and spam attack as much as possible Faith- the big horn with bubbles it the way, easiest method kills this thing so fast it makes it look like a baby. Faith incant- welp shit, nothing really does the job that good but from my experience everything related to giant incantations will do the job, decently. Arcane- idk i don t use arcane spells -other tips- throw pots of fire, small and big ones, for whatever reason the golem does not deal fire damage(i pretty much had max fire resitance and the damage he was dealing was the same as with normal fire resitance), use summons to distract it a little for comet azur to ensure easy kill, horseback riding may make this boss considerably easier if done right, once he is down, rebuff, heal, and before doing the crit damage hit him normally, it stays on the ground for a lot of time. Safest way - greataxe wild strikes, on my save one of these golems has 230k hp, with wild strikes good dodges, mimic and everything i said here, i killed it in around 3 minutes, idk why but wild strikes dps becomes extremly high once u stack up every consecutive attack dmg ramp, it deals around 2450 per strike, while the boss is down before critical hit i deal around 35k dmg and then i crit it for -insert very high dmg numbers-. Hits in the face(plate head fire basket i guess) deals more dmg. Hopefully this info helps someone
Huge thanks for the rusted anchor + wild strikes strategy, I just took down 2 Furnace Golems (the first one and a late game one) within 3 minutes, both on the first try. Didn't even have to jump dodge that much because how much I kept staggering them. It was so much easier than any other strategy I've seen.

For those that don't know: there's a note that explains golems are susceptible to regular giant pots, since it may overcharged them. They're optional, and this is exclusive for the armored ones, so it's just a side puzzle.
@@canadianjoker5033 Both the hefty and the furnace work for it. Arrows and AOW are there as an alternative. Have to clarify that, since it's a puzzle and not a boss, you have to both get the note to inform you and the materials, which are extremely plentiful.
@@enman009-I actually fired the jar cannon into the top of it! I don't know how much damage it did, but it walked over to the cliff and I finished it off with hefty fire pots. Funny encounter.😏

Playing this DLC started as a covert build your character up and get ur scadus and survive , to double welding great katanas killing legendary Dragons and crushing the hardest bosses ever made! Best game ever and best DLC ever to close it off.
Something that helps me fight the unarmed golems is always target the right leg, that way you have an easier time seeing the left arm reaching to grab you for the instant death. Also you can just jump up to dodge foot stomp fire explosions, and for the big jump stomp run away so you're just out of range of the explosion, and jump the moment the explosion happens. Happy hunting!
If any of you are struggling to find furnace visages. There are around 10 that I found at the bottom of the river area under Shadow Keep. (ruins of unte)
Black Flame actually heal Furnace Giant for some reason. I summon Black Knife Tiche and everytime she use her black knife flame attack Furnace golem max HP cut by 20% but after the duration end it heal back up to full health.
Destined Death is the debuff, it takes 10% of their maximum hp away, but when the debuff is lost, that hp will come back, that's how it works with every enemy/boss^^ it'll look like it jumps back up, but they're just regaining the hp that was taken away from Destined Death
ember of mesmer can be easely found in the camp between the highroad crossmsite of grace and the shadow keep where the 2nd furnace golem is located. they respawn and there areat least 6 of them near the road. also on the right side of the shadow keep entrance you can find a couple of the mask on the ground near a dead golem.

@@abelaxxx8790 Any projectile does damage to the face and the center, and if you have a good bow and a decent amount of scadutrees, you'll do slightly bellow 500 dmg (maybe more, idk) on a horse running around them. Heck, I even jumped attack them and did damage (but I died from fall damage, lol). It's a bit dumb that the fire pots are the ones that do the most damage, but since it's a puzzle with some decent solutions, I'm going to btch just one time and kill them easily on replays.
High road cross fire furnace feels impossible I've tried everything soon as the fire touches me dead in 1 second. Man did these things get there damaged buff recently I feel like I'm getting weaker everytime I level up with the scadutree fragments
I got a few ideas regarding the fire golems and how to fight them. I unfortunately cannot play for a while so I am leaving my thoughts here in case they are useful. How about using a spear with Spectral Lance AoW? Spectral Lance deals 25 stance damage which is a lot and enough to stun normal golems in the base game in about 4 or 5 hits no matter where you hit them. When the golem is down, you could initiate a critical hit with Royal Knight's Resolve Misericorde for example. Could something like this work against the fire golems? Also, if I remember right, you could boost the Spectral Lance throw distance with Arrow's Reach talisman to not have to get as close to the target. And furthermore, does Darkness incantation (de-aggros enemies) work against the fire golems? Could it be possible to sneak behind the golem (perhaps use Assassin's Gambit and Unseen for extra stealth?) and then throw a couple of Spectral Lance spears at the golem and then immediately cast Darkness to de-aggro him? After that you could theoretically relocate behind the golem if Darkness works and repeat what you just did (repeat many times, if necessary) in order to break golem's stance for a critical hit. After a critical hit, do the process again for more critical hits to defeat him. Since the fiery walker is a golem, I expect him to take massive damage from critical hits like the normal golems do. Alternatively you could propably run circles around him with Torrent and throw Black Flame for about 50 times to take the golem down with Black Flame's max health based damage (2 % health drain per hit). Destined Death works the same way but unlike with Black Flame, you would have to stay on foot, which could be detrimental unless you can de-aggro the golem.
I also wonder if the game knows if you are throwing a hefty fire pot into the golem or if it could also be some other flame/explosion projectile that you could throw inside the golem when you are on eye-level with it. I wonder if I can throw a Giantsflame inside the golem and also expect massive damage.
Most of that sadly doesn't work. They take a LOT of hits to stagger, and you have to stagger them three times to fall. It's nothing like normal golems. They're immune to blackflame and don't take percentage damage. Destined Death does work, but you'll never hit it enough times before its effect ends. Its pretty much useless, except for when the golem has less then 10% hp remaining.
where to get the recipe for the hefty furnace pot? i could not find it i must have missed even and im tryin my best to explore everything thoroughly :/
You don't NEED to use furnace pots. I used Hefty Fire Pots, and they worked just fine. It's easy to farm material for them as well. I wonder if it even matters what kind of damage type the pot does. Maybe just try using the highest damaging pot for your build.🤔

Why do people keep saying its face is a weak spot? I've yet to see anyone hit the face while its standing, and I personally have hit their faces with tons of lightning and boulders but its face is invulnerable until you knock them down (which doesn't make sense). I have never complained once about an enemy in any Souls game, but this enemy is just pure garbage. I don't mind hard enemies, challenge is fun, this enemy isn't challenging. Its just so tedious to knock them down. And the alternative of throwing hefty pots in them from above is incredibly boring. Yes, I have plenty of scadu fragments. If they died in one crit or could get knocked down much quicker, I could tolerate them. Not fun, but at least over with quickly. If you could reliably get them to do a move that exposed their basket long enough for you to throw a hefty pot in them AT GROUND LEVEL, that could be interesting. As is, these things are the most anti-fun enemy I've encountered in any Souls game.
I was getting wrecked when I first started the DLC everyone was killing me bosses were messing me up but I went hunting for the Ski-Doo tree fragments my shadow realm level is 13 or 14 and now I'm melting bosses the DLC is so much more manageable once you get those fragments GO ON A TREASURE HUNT IT IS WORTH IT
This is horrible, you need several pots to kill only 1 golem and the materials are rare. I wasted like 5 on a golem because it kept moving and i missed my shots
You don't need the furnace pots to kill them, the hefty firepot does it too. The mats are easy enough to get since it is a black pyrefly and red flesh mushrooms. The mushrooms you can buy with the bellbearing and the butterflys are all over the place.
@@relozockthd Your asking me something XD. I believe it is the hanging pot which you find to the cerulean coast bonfire. But I'm not quite sure. The pot is before the fire golem. Usually you find messages near the pots with up and ranged weapon.
they are strong but not impossible for me it's a lot of boost then small circle magic and meteor from astel and I finish them with the flail of the giants
Only fucking way to kill armored golems is with a limited resource? And what happens if you miss one or two? Your locked out until ng+ there has to be another way becuase if not, from soft are asking too much, it’s annoying and you MUST look it up Shits not fun
The jars and furnace masks are reusable. If you miss, you get out of combat and craft more from the crafting menu. The other ingredients to make them are easily found in the open world.

Thanks I appreciate it I didn't have any furnace pots so I used this and a fingerprint shield to tank the fireballs at the cliffs

You mean Giantflame Fire Pots? I use those a lot on my current build. I even think I used some to finish off a Furnace Golem, but I'm not positive.🤔

Remember that in one of the dlc's caves you can get a pot helmet that increases dmg from the pots!

You can find a furnace visage near the ruins of unte there are bodies of the furnace golems there, but there is one alive so be careful.
There are 2 there. You have to throw a Furnace pot into the top to wake him up.

There are 10 in the DLC (that I know of), spread throughout the world. Check the wiki, it will tell you the locations. I have 9 at the moment.

Embers of Messmer also just lie around on the Ground in the Messmer Soldier Camps. Way easier to farm them this way

With 4 of them you're fine, in my experience. Arrows or other projectiles also work.

As is, these things are the most anti-fun enemy I've encountered in any Souls game.
The face for the armored ones is weak; you can attack it with projectiles and will receive damage.
But, where do you find Hefty Cracked pots?

there is a armored leg one that is pissing me off due to how there is no way to keep tossing pots on their center
I was getting wrecked when I first started the DLC everyone was killing me bosses were messing me up but I went hunting for the Ski-Doo tree fragments my shadow realm level is 13 or 14 and now I'm melting bosses the DLC is so much more manageable once you get those fragments
GO ON A TREASURE HUNT IT IS WORTH IT

If it’s armored you can attack it’s face with magic / ranged weapons, but you might have to farm for more

This is horrible, you need several pots to kill only 1 golem and the materials are rare. I wasted like 5 on a golem because it kept moving and i missed my shots
It’s definitely a challenge, but it’s doable, you just have to be careful
You don't need the furnace pots to kill them, the hefty firepot does it too. The mats are easy enough to get since it is a black pyrefly and red flesh mushrooms. The mushrooms you can buy with the bellbearing and the butterflys are all over the place.

@@relozockthd Your asking me something XD. I believe it is the hanging pot which you find to the cerulean coast bonfire. But I'm not quite sure. The pot is before the fire golem. Usually you find messages near the pots with up and ranged weapon.

they are strong but not impossible for me it's a lot of boost then small circle magic and meteor from astel and I finish them with the flail of the giants

Hefty cracked pot aren't a ressources they are a recipient like ritual pot and parfum bottle so don't worry you won't run out of pot

you can find the ember of messmer on the ground in the camp by the 2nd furnace golem.
I knocked down the unarmored one and threw the pot in the basket and nothing happened....

Only fucking way to kill armored golems is with a limited resource? And what happens if you miss one or two? Your locked out until ng+ there has to be another way becuase if not, from soft are asking too much, it’s annoying and you MUST look it up

The jars and furnace masks are reusable. If you miss, you get out of combat and craft more from the crafting menu. The other ingredients to make them are easily found in the open world.
