      @bench-clearingbrawl7737 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +10

What do you mean by ‘we dominated’?
These TH-camrs and average people don’t know there’s a difference between Mexica and Aztecs. The tribe that established the empire known as Tenochtitlán were the Mexica and NOT the Aztecs.
Not all Mexicans today are Mexica or Aztecs descendants. The Mexica was one tribe and the Aztecs were 7 different tribes.
The Mexica birthplace was Utah and they received a revelation from their god to go and find their version of the promised land. So the Mexica went south from Utah and on their journey the 7 tribes of the Aztecs followed them.
The Mexica was basically the head tribe of the 7 Aztec tribes.
So yeah not all Mexicans came from these tribes that I mentioned.
So what do you mean by “WE”? Who are you to claim something you have no idea about.
By the way, my great grandfather was a 14 generation removed grandson of Moctezuma II of the Mexica. The last true Emperor of the Mexica.

4:38 my grandma told me about this myth!! Except she kinda mixed it in with a couple of other things from Catholicism. I could never find the source of the myth she was referencing. She told me as a kid that if I shared my food with my dog, that when I die, my dog would be waiting for me to help me cross the river to get into heaven because it was thankful for how I treated it in life. I always figured she was somehow referring to the river Styx. However, being that we’re from Mexico, it makes a lot more sense that this is the myth she was referring to!

You might also like to hear this hindu story:
In the final chapter of the Mahābhārata, known as the Swargarohana Parva (The Book of the Ascent to Heaven), Yudhishthira, the eldest of the Pandava brothers, embarks on his journey to heaven after the great war of Kurukshetra. As he ascends the Himalayas with his wife, Draupadi, and his brothers, they each fall one by one due to their worldly sins, leaving Yudhishthira as the sole survivor.
A stray dog accompanies him throughout this arduous journey. When Yudhishthira finally reaches the gates of heaven, the god Indra invites him to enter. However, Indra insists that the dog cannot be allowed inside.
Yudhishthira, known for his unwavering adherence to dharma (righteousness), refuses to abandon the dog. He argues that loyalty and compassion cannot be forsaken, even for the promise of heaven.
Moved by his virtue, the dog reveals itself to be the god Dharma (Yudhishthira’s divine father) in disguise, testing Yudhishthira's commitment to righteousness. Yudhishthira’s refusal to abandon the dog ensures his full access to heaven.

The sacrifices were also used as a way to undermine possible rebellions against the Aztec Empire. The Aztecs used the heads from the sacrificed captured warriors to display them on the Tzompantli, a wall of human heads. When other civilizations came to pay the forced tribute, they had to walk in front of the Tzompantli.

As a souls fan myself, we tried hard making a game about this. It's extremely hard to achieve since it requires a ton of resources and dedication to try to get the mythology right. My dedication was there 100% but external issues made it impossible. We made some strides but at the end, it all fell apart. Maybe someone else will have better luck. I have a demo on my channel of the 3d art I made that im extremely proud of, showing many lesser known mythological figures. I had a great time creating it and i would love to try again. But oh man is that hard Lol. Definitely has huge potential.

Aztec werent just warriors they also had scientists and were technologically advanced. They had schools, mathematics, astronomy and poetry. They even 2 vast libraries of knowledge with all of it written down. (destroyed by the Spaniards unfortunately)

The Aztecs overthrew the Mayas and then they scattered in Central America. These tribes eventually became allies of the Spanish and who also participated in the destruction of the Aztec empire out of vengeance and genocide carried against them in retribution. Aztecs did survive after the conquest of the Mexica empire, their survivors then became Catholics and subjects of the Spanish crown and created another myth of worship. This is what occurred in history in summary. Not the black legend bs that Anglos like to tell.

The religious systems of both remind me a lot of a cult, sort of like Jim Jones meets North Korea meets fundamentalist Christian - but with magic mushrooms, weed, datura and peyote and a much more dramatic, incredible, out-there costumes and set design, regal pomp and circumstance. And much much more colorful, intense, and interesting lore. And those people had to have lived in fear all hours of day from living amid not so benign invisible forces. I get a shiver just thinking of the god of snot and the god of scabs. Very intense!

It depends on the region but Tezcatlipoca did not really destroy the first sun, he became the first sun, and the first humans told him why he is not more brighter. Then he rained giant human eating jaguars that ate all the giant humans. Then Quetzalcoatl became the second sun, but because the new humans did not complain Tezcatlipoca decided to fight Quetzalcoatl to bring the second apocalypse. He knew Quetzalcoatl would go all out since Tezcatlipoca is super strong. The strong winds of Quetzalcoatl killed humanity.
The third sun was appointed to Tlaloc, who is also the god of rain. So Tez decided to flirt with Tlaloc's wife in front of him, and then he got depressed. No rain happened since he was too depressed to do his job, and the sun was too hot and dry. The humans complained to Tlaloc that they needed rain, so he made it rain-rain of fire. So humanity dies again.
The fourth sun's job was given to the goddess of water and Tez decided to make her cry because no one complained on her job as the sun. She cry so much that she floods the world and humanity dies again. Then there is the fifth sun, which is the epic battle of Huitzilopochtli and the goddess of the moon.
This is how I remember it but every region has a different bot.

The Toltecs were part of this complex group sometimes in marriage as a means of establishing just as European royalties did
Also I’ve heard that the maya that did not always like the Aztec encroaching on the land they inhabited and would drop large rocks on top from a height to discourage them. Not being nearly as alter blood offering as the Aztec were, these ceremonies were held only on certain day of a specific year rather than savagely opening up chests times were much different for the maya and spirituality was leaned on much deeper
